Abstract
The modifications concern the inner section of the adjustable well and the cover which: a) is constructed every time the asphalt is changed to such height so that is aligned with the new asphalt b) the cover is incorporated from the foundry so that it becomes a uniform body so that the adjustable well consists of two sections: the outer section that is embedded in the ground, and the inner section with the incorporated cover sitting on a recess of the outer section c) the incorporated cover is installed in such manner that a recess is formed which is filled with asphalt so that a the asphalt is uniform and d) the recessed cover is separate and rests on a pedestal that is constructed on the interior wall of the inner section. e) In cases where the well is used for collection of rainwater (grid), the cover will have ridges in parallel to the water flow, f) In any case, the adjustable well comes in all geometrical shapes, types and dimensions.
Description
DESCRIPTION
THE INNER SECTION OF THE ADJUSTABLE WELL
The modification concerns the inner section of the well.
Every time the road is paved with a new asphalt layer^the internal section of the well will be replaced by a different section1: the result is a higher elevation of the pavement surface relative to the installed well. The new inner section1 shall have greater length than the previous one so that, when it sits on the inner pedestal of the outer section - shell , it is aligned fully with the level of the new asphalt. Thus, extensions are no longer required. Subsequently, the cover3 is installed by screwing4 it on the inner section1 so that it is firm and in complete alignment with the asphalt. The replaced inner section1 may be used in other wells.
The cover3, instead of being screwed on, can be incorporated directly onto the inner section of the adjustable well from the foundry so that it becomes a uniform body with the well's inner
1 * 2 section . In this case, the adjustable well consists of two sections essentially: the outer section which is embedded in the ground in accordance with the patent, and the inner section1 which incorporates the well cover and which will sit on the internal pedestal4 of the outer section - shell in alignment with the asphalt.
Removal of the integrated inner section for inspection or for replacement when necessary will be carried out with an extractor that will be screwed into a hole5 in the center of the incorporated cover's surface so that it can be drawn out when necessary. Thus, extensions are no longer necessary.
In addition, the inner section1 with the incorporated cover3 can be constructed so that its surface (incorporated cover) may be lowered inward1 in a manner that a recess is formed that will be filled with asphalt so that we have a uniform asphalt and road surface. Also in this case, removal of the integrated inner section for inspection or replacement as necessary will be carried out with an extractor that will be screwed into a hole4 in the center of the incorporated cover's surface in the inner section so that it can be drawn out whenever necessary. To facilitate screwing of the extractor, during installation a screw will be screwed in this hole; the screw length will be equal to the height of the recess and the screw will be removed whenever the extractor is to be used and it will be screwed back on upon completion of the process and reinstallation.
The cover4, instead of being incorporated in the well's inner section, can be separate and resting on a seat along the perimeter that will be constructed on the interior wall surface of the inner section1 of the well. In the empty space in the interior of the well's inner section from the flange to the top end, there will be placed a thin plate ring6 along the perimeter so that asphalt
accumulation in the interior is avoided and removal of the cover - with an extractor5 as in case 3 - for inspection or replacement is facilitated. In this case, the well will consist of three sections again.
In cases where the well is used for collection of rainwater (grid), the cover1 will be screwed2 or incorporated in the inner section of the adjustable well to protect it against theft and it will have ridges in parallel with the water flow so that the flow is facilitated, sprays are not created, and debris that may clog the well (grid) is not trapped.
The adjustable well comes in all geometrical shapes, types and dimensions.
Claims
1. Every time the road is paved with a new asphalt layer, the internal section of the adjustable well will be replaced by a different one of greater height so that, when it is installed on the outer section - shell, it is aligned with the new asphalt layer without the installation of extensions
2. The cover, instead of being screwed on, will be incorporated directly onto the inner section of the adjustable well in the foundry so that it becomes an integral part. The extraction of the incorporated body will be accomplished by a threaded extractor that will be screwed through a hole at the center of the surface of the incorporated cover.
3. The incorporated cover instead of being installed on the top part of the inner section of the adjustable well is installed in a way that a recess is formed that is filled with asphalt so that we have a uniform asphalt surface. The removal will be carried out as in claim 2.
4. The cover in the interior of the inner section will not be incorporated but it will be separate and will sit on a pedestal that will be constructed in the interior wall of the inner section of the adjustable well. To avoid accumulation of asphalt on the inner wall, a thin plate will be placed along the perimeter. Removal of the cover for inspection will be carried out as in claim 3.
5. When the well is to be used for collection of rain water, the cover (grid), screwed or incorporated in the inner section, will have ridges in parallel with the water flow so that the flow is facilitated and debris does not clog the well.
6. The adjustable well comes in all geometrical shapes, types and dimensions.
