  • the single torsion spring 178 only lightly urges forward movement of the dowel 120 towards the notches 150a-150e in the direction of arrow F.

  • the dowel 120 may be unseated, and moved in an upward direction, simply by the operator squeezing the stationary 108 and movable 114 jaws together and, again, overcoming the bias of the single torsion spring 178.
  • each notched window 122a, 122b in opposite sides of the intermediate connecting part 112 of the stationary assembly 104 is a generally elongate channel with one straight side opposite its notches 150a-150e.
  • the straight side assists sliding movement of the dowel between notches when the jaws are unclamped.
  • the dowel 120 is the axis of the movable jaw 114 which, as mentioned above, acts as a trunion.
  • the dowel is supported by the notches 150a-150e which are shaped to resist lateral displacement of the dowel between the notches whether the jaws 108,114 be clamped or unclamped.
  • the single torsion spring 178 exerts force F on the dowel 120 which is directed towards the notches 150a-150e which support the dowel 120. Even if the single torsion spring 178 were absent, which is an option, the notched windows 122a, 122b are inclined forwardly so that notches 150a-150e would tend to support the dowel 120.

Claims (13)

  1. Pince-étau (102) comprenant :
    un ensemble stationnaire (104) présentant une forme globale allongée, dans laquelle une extrémité arrière de l'ensemble stationnaire forme un manche stationnaire (110) et une extrémité avant de l'ensemble stationnaire forme une mâchoire stationnaire (108) ;
    un ensemble mobile (106) présentant un levier opérationnel (124) et une mâchoire mobile (114), dans laquelle la mâchoire mobile est couplée de manière pivotante à l'ensemble stationnaire (104) par un axe de mâchoire (120) pour permettre le serrage d'un objet entre les mâchoires mobile (114) et stationnaire (108) et dans laquelle le levier opérationnel (124) présente une extrémité avant qui est couplée de manière pivotante à la mâchoire mobile par un premier pivot (126) et le levier opérationnel présente une extrémité arrière qui forme un manche mobile (132) ;
    un ressort (170) pour l'inclinaison de la rotation du mâchoire mobile (114) autour de l'axe de mâchoire (120) loin de la mâchoire stationnaire (108) ; et
    une tige d'actionnement (128) présentant une extrémité avant couplée de manière pivotante au levier opérationnel (124) par un deuxième pivot (130) à mi-chemin le long du levier opérationnel et une extrémité arrière couplée de manière pivotante au manche stationnaire à l'aide d'un troisième pivot (148) et dans laquelle la tige d'actionnement (128) et une portion du levier opérationnel (124) qui s'étend entre le premier (126) et le deuxième (130) pivots définit un mécanisme de verrouillage (116),
    dans laquelle la tige d'actionnement (128) et le levier opérationnel (124) présentent chacun des moyens de butée et dans laquelle les moyens de butée sont mutuellement alignés pour empêcher le mécanisme de verrouillage (116) de passer au-delà d'un point d'alignement des premier (126), deuxième (130) et troisième (148) pivots suite au mouvement du manche mobile (132) vers le manche stationnaire (110) pendant le serrage,
    dans laquelle la tige d'actionnement (128) et le levier opérationnel (124) présentent chacun des reliefs de serrage respectifs (166, 152) et dans laquelle les reliefs de serrage sont mutuellement alignés pour venir en prise avant que le moyen de butée de la tige d'actionnement (128) et du levier opérationnel (124) ne soit actionné pour empêcher le mécanisme de verrouillage (116) de se déplacer au-delà du point d'alignement des premier (126), deuxième (130) et troisième (148) pivots,
    dans laquelle le relief de serrage (166) du levier opérationnel (124) est couplé à un déclencheur (160) pour la mise hors prise des reliefs de serrage (152, 166) et dans laquelle le déclencheur (160) est actionnable manuellement par un opérateur suite à l'exercice d'une force de serrage sur le manche mobile,
    caractérisée en ce que l'axe de mâchoire (120) sur un parmi la mâchoire mobile (114) et l'ensemble stationnaire (104) est sélectivement déplaçable par rapport à l'autre de la mâchoire mobile (114) et de l'ensemble stationnaire (104) pour le rapprochement ensemble ou l'éloignement de la mâchoire stationnaire (108) et la mâchoire mobile.
  2. Pince-étau (102) selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle l'axe de mâchoire (120) sur l'un parmi la mâchoire mobile (114) et l'ensemble stationnaire (104) est déplaçable entre une pluralité de supports d'axe de mâchoire (150a-150e) sur l'autre parmi la mâchoire mobile et l'ensemble stationnaire (104) et dans laquelle chaque support d'axe de mâchoire est formé pour supporter l'axe de mâchoire (120) pendant le serrage.
  3. Pince-étau (102) selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle la pince-étau (102) comprend un deuxième ressort (178) pour l'inclinaison de l'axe de mâchoire (120) vers les supports d'axe de mâchoire (150a-150e).
  4. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une des revendications 2 ou 3, dans laquelle l'axe de mâchoire (120) est sur la mâchoire mobile (114) et les supports d'axe de mâchoire (150a-150e) sont sur l'ensemble stationnaire (104).
  5. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 4, dans laquelle chaque support d'axe de mâchoire est une encoche (150a-150e) et dans laquelle les encoches (150a-150e) sont raccordées par une piste (122).
  6. Pince-étau (102) selon la revendication 5, dans laquelle la piste (122) est orientée pour résister au mouvement de l'axe de mâchoire (120) entre les encoches (150a-150e).
  7. Pince-étau (102) selon la revendication 6, dans laquelle un côté de la piste (122) est formé pour faciliter le mouvement de l'axe de mâchoire (120) entre les encoches (150a-150e).
  8. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 5 à 7, dans laquelle la mâchoire mobile (114) est coulissante entre des côtés opposés de l'ensemble stationnaire (104) et dans laquelle la piste (122) comprend une paire de fenêtres encochées mutuellement alignées (122a, 122b), chaque fenêtre encochée étant dans un côté opposé respectif de l'ensemble stationnaire.
  9. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre un troisième ressort (176) pour l'inclinaison du relief de serrage (166) du déclencheur (160) vers la mise en prise avec le relief de serrage (152) de la tige d'actionnement (128).
  10. Poignées de verrouillage selon la revendication 9, dans lesquelles le relief de serrage du déclencheur (160) comprend une première dent (166) et le relief de serrage de la tige d'actionnement (128) comprend une seconde dent (152).
  11. Poignées de verrouillage selon la revendication 10, dans lesquelles le déclencheur (160) est immobilisé par rapport au levier opérationnel (128) dans toutes les positions du mécanisme de verrouillage (116) autres que la position de mise en prise des première (166) et seconde (152) dents.
  12. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle le déclencheur (160) est monté de manière pivotante sur le levier opérationnel (124).
  13. Pince-étau (102) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle le troisième point de pivot est ajustable le long d'une longueur du manche stationnaire (110).
