Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen transportablen Kühlraum, beispielsweise zum Kühlen von Speisen und Speisenverteilkomponenten, mit einem Gehäuse (1) und mit einem Kältemittelspeicher (4) zur Kühlung eines Kühlgutauf-nahmeraums (5) innerhalb des Gehäuses (1). Der Kältemittelspeicher (4) ist oberhalb des Kühlgutaufnahmeraums (5) angeordnet und weist einen Kühlkörper (9) zur Verbesserung des Wärmeaustausches auf. Zur Initiierung und Führung einer im Kühlgutaufnahmeraum (5) zirkulierenden freien Konvektionsströmung ist eine Leitfläche (10) vorgesehen. Erfindungsgemäß ist der Kühlkörper (9) oberhalb der Leitflächen (10) angeordnet und weist eine Anordnung aus mehreren in den Kühlgutaufnahmeraum vorstehenden parallelen Kühlrippen (11) auf. Stellt sich eine zirkulierende freie Konvektionsströmung ein, die entlang einer wärmegedämmten Wandfläche des Gehäuses nach unten gerichtet ist und an einer gegenüberliegenden Wandfläche wieder aufsteigt.
