Abstract

The present invention relates to a drilling rig for the attachment to a lifting arm, comprising a foot part (10), a stand part (11) secured to the foot part (10) and extending upwards from the foot part (10), and on which stand part (11) a drill holder (2) is movably arranged, a lifting part (12) provided with an attachment arrangement (120) arranged to be connected to said lifting arm, and a drive arrangement (3, 31, 32, 34) for the movement of said drill holder (2), wherein said drive arrangement is arranged to supply force for the motion upwards of said drill holder (2), and that the drill holder (2) is arranged to be moved downwards on the stand part (11) by gravity.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to a drilling rig for the attachment to a lifting arm, comprising a foot part, a stand part secured to the foot part and extending upwards from the foot part, and on which a drill holder is movably arranged, a lifting part provided with an attachment arrangement arranged to be connected to said lifting arm, and a drive arrangement for the movement of said drill holder.
  • PRIOR ART
  • At many places, making holes in rocks and the like suitably takes places by means of an excavator, or the like, which is equipped with a drilling rig intended for the desired making of holes. Thus, such drilling rigs are adapted to be exchangeably attached to e.g. a bucket holder of an excavator. Thanks to the use of a working machine with a controllably movable lifting arm, the drilling may be performed quickly and without any hard manual assistance by personnel. From a working environmental view, the use of this drilling method is definitely advantageous. However, it is a drawback that today's known drilling rigs are rather expensive, often on a cost level of about 300 kSEK, i.a. depending on the comparatively complex and hence expensive mechanism for the movement of the drill along the drilling rig. The consequence of this high cost is that the use is limited to a fewer number of users than would be the case if the cost were lower. As a consequence of this, there are today many enterprises which have to perform manually heavy and from an environmental view unfavourable making of holes. Therefore, there is an obvious need of means which can offer an improvement of the problems mentioned above.
  • DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
  • The object of the present invention is to eliminate or at least minimize the problems mentioned above, which is achieved by means of a drilling rig in accordance with the subsequent claim 1.
  • Thanks to the invention, a drilling rig is obtained, which may be used for making holes in rocks (and the like), which is much cheaper than the alternatives known today, which implies that the drilling work may be performed with an essentially improved working environment for a substantially increased number of workers at the making of holes in rocks, and the like.
  • Further, the invention involves an advantage in the fact that essentially smaller working machines than conventionally used today can be used at the making of holes. This also implies that the use can be offered on a broader basis than was previously the case, as the investment costs for a small machine are essentially lower than for a large machine.
  • Additional advantageous aspects of the invention will be apparent from the detailed description below.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • Fig. 1 shows a drilling rig 1 in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention. The drilling rig 1 comprises in a general meaning a stand 11, 12, a drill holder 2 movably arranged on one part 11 of the stand, a wire rope arrangement 3 for the movement of the drill holder 2 along the first stand part 11, a bushing 4 for the control of the drill at the foot part 10 of the stand, a second stand part 12 with an attachment arrangement 120 for a connection to a lifting arm (e.g. belonging to an excavator bucket), and a support arrangement 5 to be able to place the drilling rig 1 in a standing, non-active position.
  • Thus, the drill stand 1 has a bottom part 10, which in the example shown consists of a U-beam with a longitudinal extension exceeding the width of the beam. At one end of this bottom part 10 a square beam 11 is stationary secured (suitably by welding), extending in a right angle upwards in relation to the foot part 10. This square beam forms a stand part 11, which constitutes the very stand for the movable drill holder 2. This stand part 11 suitably extends at least 2 m, and in many cases suitably about 3 to 4 m above the bottom plate 10. This stand part 11 extends preferably quite vertically in relation to the bottom plate, when this is horizontally positioned.
  • A second stand part 12 is stationary secured (suitably by welding) to the lower portion of the first stand part 11. This second stand part 12 extends in an angle α in relation to the first stand part 11, which angle is acute and suitably in the region of 10° to 45°, more preferred 15° to 30°. The vertical extension of the second stand part is suitably less than half of the extension of the first stand part 11. At the end of the second stand part 12 an attachment plate 120 is arranged for the attachment of the drilling rig 1 to an attachment arrangement on a lifting arm, suitably belonging to an excavator in a small size, i.e. an excavator with a maximal weight of 6 tons. The attachment plate 120 has an attachment plane, which preferably extends essentially perpendicularly in relation to the longitudinal direction of the first stand part 11, which in combination with the angle of the second stand part implies a comfortable positioning of the attachment plate 120 at the mounting/dismounting.
  • Further, a female means 122 is arranged on the second stand part 12, approximately in its longitudinal extension, which female means is adapted to receive a male means 50 belonging to a support arrangement 5 (see Fig. 7). Suitably, the female means 122 and the corresponding male means 50, respectively, have a rectangular cross-section implying the advantage that standardized square tubes may be used as construction elements and that the square shape implies a form-fit which eliminates the risk for rotation. Suitably, the rig 1 is dimensioned with an attachment plate 120 for small excavators with a weight of between 1 and 6 tons and similar, small working machines, preferably for quick couplers of the dimensions S30, S40, and S45, respectively.
  • Fig. 3 shows the base part 20 of the movable drill holder 2, which is used according to a preferred embodiment of the invention. The base part 20 comprises a square tube 200 with an inner size in the transverse directions exceeding the outer size of the first stand part 11 by 10 to 30 mm. The reason for this comparatively large gap in all transverse directions aims at giving enough space to the use of wear protection means 203 which are applied on the inside of the square body 200. According to a preferred embodiment, four wear protection means 203 are applied on each inner side of the square body 200, two comparatively near its upper end and two comparatively near its lower end, respectively. These wear protection means may be manufactured of many different kinds of suitable materials, such as Teflon or any other durable polymer with low friction, or brass, in order to offer a comparatively low friction between the base part 20 and the first stand part 11 at the movement of the drill holder 2. Suitably, these wear protection means 203 have a thickness of 4 to 10 mm, depending on the size of the gap between the support body 200 and the first stand part 11, so that there is a suitable play to achieve a squeeze-free movement but without any disturbing motion degree in the transverse direction of the base body 200 relatively the first stand part 11.
  • Further, Fig. 3 shows that the square body 200 is provided with two flange portions 201 facing away, in which attachment holes 202 are arranged to attach a drill attachment 21. In addition, it is shown that attachment rods 204 are arranged at opposite sides of the base body 200, which rods extend parallel to the flanges 201. These attachment rods 204 are intended for the application of weights 22 (see Fig. 5), which are provided with corresponding holes 220 and a width and a hole location implying that the weights will be supported by the flanges 201, as well as suitably be clamped by means of the attachment screws (not shown) penetrating through the attachment holes 202 through the flanges 201. The extension in the longitudinal direction of the base body 200 is essentially much longer than the largest cross-sectional dimension of the square profile, which results in that a good stability is obtained at a gliding motion along the first stand part 11.
  • Fig. 4 shows a first preferred drill attachment 21 for the attachment of a drilling machine (not shown) at the performance of drilling in a rock or the like. The drill attachment has a securing plate 211 with holes 213 adapted to an attachment to the flanges 291 of the base part 20. Right at the top of the attachment body 210 an ear 212 is arranged for the attachment of a wire rope 3 for the movement of the drill holder 2.
  • Fig. 6 shows a wire rope reel 31 intended to be used to redirect the wire rope 3 moving the drill holder 2 in the vertical direction. A first wire rope reel 31 of that kind is arranged right up near the end of the first stand part 11. The wire rope reel 31 is arranged inside an upper opening 111 in one side of the first stand part 11, which results in the wire rope being redirected around the upper wire rope reel 31, so that it, after a redirection of 180°, extends downwards inside the first stand part 11. A corresponding second wire rope reel 32 (of which only the shoulder attachment in shown in Fig. 1) is arranged in the lower portion of the first stand part 11, so that the wire rope is redirected around said second reel and is given an extension upwards inside the second stand part 12. A channel portion 121 is arranged on the second stand part, which channel portion opens from the second stand part 12 at a level essentially below the attachment plate 20. Above the opening of the channel portion 121 a wire rope motor 34 is fixedly mounted with a roller for the winding and unwinding of the wire rope 3. By means of activation of that (suitably electric driven) wire rope roller 34 a desired movement upwards and downwards, respectively, of the drill holder 2 is obtained.
  • Thus, the movement of the drill holder 2 takes places in an active drilling direction by means of the attraction of gravity and may be adapted by choosing weights 22, suitable for the purpose, which are arranged on the drill holder 2. Thanks to this construction, the drilling rig will be very cost-efficient as compared to conventional hydraulic drilling rig equipment.
  • Fig. 7 shows a support arrangement 5 intended to be used together with the drilling rig 1 for the parking thereof when it is not in use. The support means 5 has a male means 50 intended to be inserted into a corresponding female means 122 on the second stand part 12. A through hole 501 is arranged for reliable securing of the support part 5 to the second stand part 12. Two support legs 51, 52 are arranged at the end of the essentially horizontally running male part 50 in an upside-down V-formation, wherein the angle β between these legs suitably is in the region of 70° to 110°.
  • Fig. 8 shows a bushing 4 intended to be used for the control of the drill through the opening 40 in the bushing 4. The bushing 4 is fixed (suitably by screws) to the foot part 10 included in the stand 10, 11, 12, in the opposite end of the foot part as compared to the attachment of the first stand part 11. The bushing suitably has a diameter of max 40 to 45 mm in order to be used for the control of drills with a diameter in the region of 25 to 38 mm.
  • The invention is not limited to what has been described above but may vary within the frames of the subsequent claims. Thus, it is realized, that for instance many other shapes than square tubes may be used to obtain the desired functionality according to the invention, such e.g. oval tubes, circular tubes, octagon tubes, and the like. Also other pertinent details may vary in a corresponding manner as well as that the materials may, of course, vary to a great extent without falling outsides the scope of the invention. Further, it is realized that the man skilled in the art understands that the expression wire rope has to be interpreted functionally and that all kinds of flexible, force transmission means may be used to obtain the functionality which the wire rope admits, such as e.g. a steel-cable, of course, is a possible alternative. In addition to this, it is realized that also an embodiment where the wire rope motor with the roller 34 is arranged right at the top of the first stand part 11 makes the same kind of functionality possible as has been previously described, but that for several reasons the man skilled in the art realizes an advantage of arranging the wire rope motor with the roller 34 easily available at the lower part of the drilling rig 1. Moreover, it is realized that the opening 111 not necessarily must be located in a side portion of the first stand part 11 but that also a location of the redirection reel 31 may imply that the upper opening of the stand part 11 may be used to let the wire rope 30 run into and inside the stand part. Further, it is realized that the attachment arrangement 120 may be placed in many different angles in relation to the extension of the stand part and still obtain the advantages which are achieved by placing the attachment arrangement at a distance from the stand part, which i.a. implies good and easy accessibility. Thus, the expression essentially perpendicular may be interpreted in wide frames. Finally, it is realized that the basic functionality of the drilling rig according to the invention also functions with circular tubes, even if then no form-fit exits, which prevents turning of the base body 200 in the transverse direction, but such a turning may easily be prevented by the arrangement of a slot in a circular tube and a corresponding tap controlling at the base body 200. However, it is, of course, advantageous to use a form-fit, as additional production steps may then be eliminated.

Claims (10)

  1. A drilling rig for the attachment to a lifting arm, comprising a foot part (10), a stand part (11) secured to the foot part (10) and extending upwards from the foot part (10), and with which a drill holder (2) is movably arranged, a lifting part (12) provided with an attachment arrangement (120) arranged to be connected to said lifting arm, and a drive arrangement (3,31,32,34) for the movement of said drill holder (2), characterized in that said drive arrangement (3,31,32,34) is provided with a rope (3) and a rope motor with a roller (34) arranged to supply force for a motion upwards of said drill holder (2), and that the drill holder (2) is arranged to be moved downwards on the stand part (11) by gravity.
  2. A drilling rig according to claim 1, characterized in that the drill holder (2) is provided with a rope holder (212) for the attachment of one end of the rope (3), the other end of which is attached to said roller, and that said drive motor is secured to the drilling rig (1) for the movement of the drill holder (2) along said first stand part (11).
  3. A drilling rig according to claim 2, characterized in that said rope motor with a roller (34) is arranged in the lower portion of said drilling rig (1) and that an opening (111) is arranged at the upper end of said stand part (11), into an interior cavity in said stand part (11), and that a rope reel (31) is arranged in said opening (111) to redirect the rope (3) for an extension downwards inside the cavity in said stand part (11).
  4. A drilling rig according to claims 3, characterized in that a second rope reel (32) is arranged inside the lower portion of said first stand part (11), and that said lifting part (12) is provided with a cavity in which the rope (3) extends, and that said lifting part is provided with an opening (121) for the passage by the rope (30), and said rope motor with a roller (34) is arranged to said second stand part (12) above said opening (121).
  5. A drilling rig according to claim 4, characterized in that said rope motor with a roller (34) is arranged in the lower portion in relation to said attachment arrangement (120).
  6. A drilling rig according any of the previous claims, characterized in that said attachment arrangement (120) is provided with attachment holes (121) intended for the quick coupler S30, S40 and/or S45.
  7. A drilling rig according to claim 2, characterized in that said drill holder (2) comprises a tubular base body (200) arranged to admit a safe securing in the transverse direction and at the same time a free movement in the longitudinal direction on said stand part (11), wherein a sliding means (203) is arranged on the inside of said base body (200) to control the base body (200) in relation to said stand part (11) and to provide a desired play between said base body (200) and the stand part (11).
  8. A drilling rig according to claim 7, characterized in that said sliding means (203) is exchangeably arranged and consist of a material which reduces the friction between the base body (200) and the stand part (11).
  9. A drilling rig according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that said drill holder (2) comprises attachment means (204) for detachable attachment of one or more weights (22), wherein preferably said attachment means (204) is arranged to be able to interact with a flange (201) for safe positioning of said weights (22) on said drill holder (2).
  10. A drilling rig according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that said foot part (10) is provided with an opening (101), with which a drill bushing (4) is arranged, wherein preferably said drill bushing has a hole (40) with a maximal hole diameter of 50 mm, more preferred maximal 45 mm.
