Description
- La présente invention concerne un procédé de formation d'images laser couleur. Elle trouve des applications notamment dans les images d'identité relatives aux documents identitaires : cartes d'identité, cartes de crédit, cartes vital, passeports, permis de conduire, badges d'entrée sécurisés, etc.
- Le brevet
WO 2011/124774 A1 , décrit un procédé de personnalisation d'images latentes encastrées, pour documents, identitaires, comprenant une image latente, composée d'une matrice de pixels constitués de sous pixels colorés, encastrée sous une couche de protection transparente. A l'aide d'un faisceau laser, des niveaux de gris sont créés sur les sous pixels en les recouvrant d'une surface non réfléchissante noire, au travers de la couche transparente de protection, créant ainsi les niveaux de gris de l'image laser couleur définitive. Ce traitement permet la personnalisation de l'image latente, constituée des sous pixels colorés. - L'image ainsi personnalisée, est observée par réflexion au travers de la couche transparente de protection. L'image personnalisée doit être suffisamment réfléchissante, pour être observée en lumière ambiante, sans le recours à une source lumineuse additionnelle.
- La demande de brevet n°
11/00578 - Bien qu'intéressantes à certains égards, ces structures limitent néanmoins la qualité de l'image personnalisée. En effet, les surfaces noires non réfléchissantes, formant les niveaux de gris de l'image personnalisée, se situant soit sur les sous pixels, soit au dessus des sous pixels de l'image latente, forment des effets d'ombre, qui assombrissent l'image personnalisée définitive.
- La présente invention, a pour but de remédier aux inconvénients de l'état de la technique, en améliorant la qualité de l'image personnalisée définitive. Pour ce faire l'invention propose que les surfaces non réfléchissantes constituant les niveaux de gris de l'image personnalisée définitive, soient formées sous l'image latente constituée de sous pixels colorés.
- De façon plus précise, l'invention a pour objet un procédé de formation d'images laser couleur personnalisées à partir d'un assemblage comprenant une couche de protection transparente, une image latente imprimée constituée de sous pixels colorés et de surfaces non colorées, une couche lasérisable sous l'image latente, des moyens réfléchissants et un faisceau laser qui au travers de la couche de protection, au travers des sous pixels de l'image latente,et des surfaces non colorées, forme dans la couche lasérisable les niveaux de gris d'une image personnalisée définitive, l'ensemble étant laminé sur un support.
- Les niveaux de gris conduisant à la personnalisation de l'image latente pour former l'image définitive, sont calculés à l'aide d'un logiciel, qui à partir de l'image d'origine, la segmente en sous pixels, calcule les nuances de couleurs correspondantes et détermine les niveaux de gris à carboniser dans la couche lasérisable, sous les sous pixels colorés et les zones non colorées de l'image latente, afin d'obtenir les mêmes nuances de couleurs que celles de l'image d'origine.
- Les niveaux de gris de l'image personnalisée, sont obtenus par le degré de noircissement qui est rendu proportionnel à l'énergie déposée par le laser, grâce à un logiciel de linéarisation, connu de l'homme de l'art, ainsi que par des surfaces variables de carbonisation.
- L'énergie du faisceau laser, est de plus ajustée en fonction de la couleur des sous pixels, et des zones non colorées qu'il traverse, car selon la couleur des sous pixels, la transparence des zones non colorées , l'énergie laser requise doit être ajustée.
- Des matériaux lasérisables qui par carbonisation sous l'effet d'un faisceau laser, forment les niveaux de gris de l'image personnalisée, sont, à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, des polycarbonates, certains polychlorures de vinyle traités, des acrylonitrille-butadiène-styrènes traités, ou des poly-téréphtalates d'éthylène traités.

- -- le support du document identitaire est de couleur blanche, et dopé en surface, afin d'être sensible au rayonnement laser pour former les niveaux de gris de l'image personnalisée, surface sur laquelle l'image latente constituée de sous pixels colorée et de zones non colorées, est imprimée.
- --les sous pixels colorés de l'image latente sont imprimés sur la surface de la couche de protection destinée à être laminée sur la couche lasérisable.
- --la couche lasérisable est transparente. Elle est laminée sur une surface réfléchissante qui peut avantageusement être constituée par le corps du document de couleur blanche.
- --le corps du document est transparent.
- --la couche de protection est formée à chaud lors du laminage, pour former un réseau de lentilles.
- L'épaisseur de la couche lasérisable ou l'épaisseur de la partie dopée du support de document, sont les plus minces possibles, compatibles avec les niveaux de gris requis. Cette épaisseur peut avantageusement être comprise entre quelques microns, et une centaine de microns.
- Les sous pixels colorés sont imprimés par offset, jet d'encre, ou toute autre technique connue de l'homme de l'art. Des zones non colorées, ou des sous pixels non colorés, augmentent la réflectivité de l'image définitive. Les sous pixels colorés, et les zones non colorées sont organisés en colonnes parallèles, ou en petites surfaces uniformément réparties. L'image latente peut être constituée de triplets ou de quadruplets de sous pixels colorés. La couleur des sous pixels est de préférence choisie parmi les couleurs indépendantes, c'est-à-dire que le mélange de deux d'entre elles , ne peut former une troisième couleur de sous pixels. Les couleurs rouges, vert bleues, ou jaunes, magenta et cyan font partie de ces couleurs.
- Dans la seconde étape de fabrication, appelée « laminage » la couche de protection, et la couche de matériau lasérisable, sont soudées à chaud sous pression sur le corps du document identitaire emprisonnant la matrice de sous pixels colorés et les zones non colorées, entre la couche de protection, et la couche de matériau lasérisable.
- Selon une autre variante de l'invention, lors du laminage, la couche de protection peut être moulée pour lui donner des formes spécifiques, comme un réseau de lentilles, permettant au faisceau laser selon des angles d'incidences particuliers, de graver sous l'image latente, la personnalisation de plusieurs images laser couleur distinctes.
- La carbonisation laser qui fait apparaître les niveaux de gris, obstruent plus ou moins la lumière incidente, et la lumière réfléchie qui traverse les sous pixels colorés, et les zones non colorées de l'image latente, limitant ainsi les réflexions parasites et des effets d'ombrage qui obscurcissent l'image personnalisée définitive.
- L'invention concerne également un document comportant une image laser personnalisée réalisée par la mise en oeuvre du procédé ci-dessus.
- Ce document comporte une feuille de protection transparente, une image latente constituée d'une matrice de sous pixels colorés et de zones non colorées, une couche en matériaux lasérisable située sous l'image latente cette feuille étant au moins partiellement carbonisée par un rayonnement laser, et un support de document. La feuille de protection, l'image latente, la couche lasérisable, et le support sont aptes à être laminés ensemble.
- Selon des modes de réalisation particuliers :
- la couche lasérisable est obtenue par dopage en surface du corps du document de couleur blanche, l'image latente constituée de sous pixels colorés et de zones non colorées est imprimée sur la surface dopée du corps du document.
- les sous pixels de l'image latente sont imprimés sur la surface de la couche de protection destinée à être laminée sur la couche lasérisable.
- la couche lasérisable est transparente. Elle est laminée sur une surface réfléchissante qui peut avantageusement être constituée par le corps du document de couleur blanche.
- --le corps du document est transparent.
- --la couche de protection est formée à chaud lors du laminage, pour lui donner la forme d'un réseau de lentilles permettant au laser de graver sur l'image latente, plusieurs images laser couleur personnalisées distinctes.
- L'invention apparaîtra mieux après la description qui suit, donnée à titre explicatif et nullement limitatif. Cette description se réfère aux dessins annexés, sur lesquels :

figure 4 montre la coupe d'un troisième mode de mise en oeuvre de l'invention. - La
figure 1 montre la coupe, selon l'art antérieur d'un document identitaire comprenant une image laser couleur. La couche de protection transparente (4) la couche lasérisable (3), la matrice de sous pixels sont laminées sur le corps du document identitaire (1).La surface (5) noire, produite par carbonisation par le faisceau laser, se situe à l'aplomb du sous pixel coloré (2) de l'image latente. Si les rayons lumineux ambiants (6) incidents, ne sont pas parfaitement perpendiculaires au plan du document, alors, l'ombre portée par la surface noire (5) sur le sous pixel coloré (2), déborde largement la surface de ce sous pixel en créant une zone d'ombre (7) qui assombrit l'image personnalisée. - La
figure 2 montre la coupe d'un premier mode de mise en oeuvre de l'invention. Le corps (1) du document identitaire est blanc. Il est dopé en surface, afin de créer une couche (3) lasérisable. Sur cette couche (3), l'image latente comportant les sous pixels colorés (2) et les zones non colorées, est imprimée. Alternativement, elle peut être imprimée sur la couche de protection transparente (4). La couche de protection (4) est laminée sur cet ensemble. Le faisceau laser (8) forme dans la couche lasérisable (3) les niveaux de gris (5) de l'image personnalisée définitive. Aucune zone d'ombre n'apparaît selon l'invention. - La
figure 3 montre la coupe d'un second mode de mise en oeuvre de l'invention. Sur le corps de carte (1) une couche de matériau lasérisable (3) est laminée. Sur cette couche lasérisable (3) les sous pixels colorés (2) sont imprimés comprenant également les zones non colorées, l'ensemble constituant l'image latente. Alternativement, les sous pixels colorés (2) peuvent être imprimée sur la couche de protection.
Puis la couche de protection (4) est laminée sur l'ensemble. - La
figure 4 montre la coupe d'un troisième mode de mise en oeuvre de l'invention. Sur le corps de carte (1), la couche lasérisable (3) est obtenue par dopage en surface du corps de carte (1). Selon une variante, cette couche lasérisable (3) est laminée sur le corps de cartes (1). L'image latente (2) comportant les sous pixels colorés, et les zones non colorées, est imprimée sur la couche lasérisable (3). Alternativement, l'image latente peut être imprimée sur la couche de protection (4). La couche de protection (4) est laminée sur l'ensemble précédent. Au cours de la lamination, sa surface supérieure vue du coté de l'observateur, est pressée à chaud pour former un réseau de lentilles (9). Les rayons laser (8) et (8') ayant un certain angle d'incidence par rapport au plan du document, forment par carbonisation dans la couche lasérisable (3), sous les sous pixels colorés (2) de l'image latente, deux images personnalisées distinctes (5) et (5'). Par réflexion inverse de la lumière incidente, ces deux images laser couleurs sont vues séparément. Selon une alternative, trois image laser personnalisées sont réalisées.
Claims (9)
- Procédé de formation d'images laser couleur personnalisées à partir d'un assemblage comprenant une couche de protection transparente, une image dite « latente » imprimée constituée de sous pixels colorés et de surfaces non colorées, une couche lasérisable sous l'image latente, des moyens réfléchissants et un faisceau laser qui au travers de la couche de protection, au travers des sous pixels de l'image latente,et des surfaces non colorées, forme dans la couche lasérisable les niveaux de gris conduisant à la personnalisation de l'image latente pour former une image personnalisée définitive, l'ensemble étant laminé sur un support.
- Procédé de formation d'images laser couleur personnalisées selon la revendication 1 dans lequel la couche lasérisable (3) est obtenue par dopage de surface du corps de carte (1).
- Procédé de formation d'images laser couleur, personnalisées selon la revendication 1, dans lequels la couche lasérisable (3) est laminée sur le corps de carte (1)
- Procédé de formation d'images image laser couleur personnalisées, selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, dans lequel l'image latente comprenant les sous pixels (2) et les zones non colorées, est imprimée sur la surface de la couche lasérisable (3)
- Procédé de formation d'images laser couleur personnalisées, selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel la face supérieure de la couche de protection (4) est pressée à chaud pour former un réseau de lentilles (9) permettant de graver plusieurs images laser couleur personnalisées distinctes.
- Document comportant des images laser couleur personnalisées, réalisé par la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une feuille de protection transparente, une image dite « latente » constituée d'une matrice de sous pixels colorés et de zones non colorées, une couche en matériaux lasérisable située sous l'image latente cette feuille étant au moins partiellement carbonisée par un rayonnement laser, et un support de document, la feuille de protection, l'image latente, la couche lasérisable, et le support étant aptes à être laminés ensemble.
- Document selon la revendication 6, dans lequel la couche de protection (4) forme en surface un réseau de lentilles (9).
- Document selon la revendication 6, dans lequel le corps de document (1) est blanc
- Document selon la revendication 6, dans lequel le corps de document (1) est transparent.
