In this embodiment, the outer circumferential surface of theshaft portion 41 includes a cylindrical surface capable of matching thecurved surface 3211 of the receivingslot 321. When therear shelf 30 rotates, the cylindrical surface of theshaft portion 41 is concentric with and contacts thecurved surface 3211 of the receivingslot 321, to make therear shelf 30 rotate around theshaft portion 41. In this embodiment, theshaft portion 41 and the receivingslot 321 define the rotation shaft of therear shelf 30. - In this embodiment, a section of the
shaft portion 41 is approximately kidney-shaped. In an alternative embodiment, theshaft portion 41 may also be a circular body. - Each
support unit 4 includes arear supporting portion 42 for supporting therear shelf 30. Therear supporting portion 42 has arear supporting surface 420 extending in the front and rear direction and parallel to the horizontal plane. When therear shelf 30 is at the horizontal position, the lapping surface 322 located between thetop surface 311 and thebottom surface 320 of the firstside frame portion 3023 rrests on therear supporting surface 420 to be supported on thesupport unit 4. Therear supporting portion 42 is located in theaccommodation space 325. In a direction perpendicular to theside wall 21, therear supporting portion 42 is located between the mountingportion 32 and thecorresponding side wall 21, and therear supporting portion 42 is covered by the mountingportion 32 extending downwards and is blocked. Therefore, therear supporting portion 42 is basically not exposed in thestorage chamber 2, and a user may not see therear supporting portion 42. - Each
support unit 4 may further include a guidingportion 43 for guiding therear shelf 30 to be mounted in thestorage chamber 2 in a predetermined direction. An upper end surface of the guidingportion 43 inclines downwards in a direction from the front to the rear to form aninclined guiding surface 430. An angle formed between the guidinginclined surface 430 and the horizontal plane is approximately the same as the angle α. The guidinginclined surface 430 may be connected to the rear end of therear supporting portion 42. - As shown in
FIG. 8 , when theshelf assembly 3 or therear shelf 30 is mounted, thelower slot wall 3213 of therear shelf 30 may slide backward along the upper end surface of the guidingportion 43, which may make theshaft portion 41 insert into the receivingslot 31 whose rear end is open, and reaches the closed front end of the receivingslot 31. Afterwards, the front end of therear shelf 30 is grasped to rotate downwards, and the lapping surface 322 may be supported on therear supporting portion 42, so as to accomplish mounting of therear shelf 30 or theshelf assembly 3. - Each
support unit 4 includes afront rail portion 44 protruding from thebase portion 40. Thefront rail portion 44 is located in front of therear supporting portion 42. As shown inFIG. 5 , in a direction perpendicular to thecorresponding side wall 21, compared with therear supporting portion 42, thefront rail portion 44 is more protruding from thebase portion 40. Therefore, when therear shelf 30 is horizontally mounted on thesupport unit 4, as shown inFIG. 7 , the outer side surface of the mountingportion 32 covering therear supporting portion 42 and an outer side surface of thefront rail portion 44 are basically in the same vertical plane. - The
front rail portion 44 includes an approximately horizontalfirst section 441 located in a front end, an approximately horizontalsecond section 442 located in a rear end, and an inclinedthird section 443 connecting thefirst section 441 and thesecond section 442. As shown inFIG. 7 , when therear shelf 30 is at the horizontal position, a front end surface of the mountingportion 32 contacts a rear end surface of thesecond section 442 face to face. Thesecond section 442 and therear rail portion 323 are smoothly connected without a step therebetween, so that thefront shelf 40 may smoothly move from thefront rail portion 44 to thefront rail portion 323. - A lower end surface of the
second section 442 is even with abottom surface 320 of the firstside frame portion 3022. This helps to make the mountingportion 32 and thefront rail portion 44 look like a member, so as to make the interior of thestorage chamber 2 more concise. - When the
front shelf 40 is at the extending position protruding, the first protrudingportion 4026 is supported on thefirst section 441, and the secondrear frame portion 4022 is supported on and clamped to the extendingportion 3025 of therear shelf 30. When it is necessary to overlap thefront shelf 40 below therear shelf 30, the front end of thefront shelf 40 may be grasped and slightly pressed downwards to unlock thefront shelf 40 and therear shelf 30, then thefront shelf 40 is slightly pulled forward, and the front end of thefront shelf 40 inclines downwards to make the second protrudingportion 4027 lap on thefront rail portion 44. Afterwards, thefront shelf 40 is pushed backward, and slides along thefront rail portion 44 and the followingfront rail portion 323 through the second protrudingportion 4027, and thefront shelf 40 is guided to move below therear shelf 30 and is supported on therear rail portion 323. - Each
support unit 4 includes acover rib 45 located above thefront rail portion 44. Thecover rib 45 extends in the front and rear direction, and at least partially covers thefront rail portion 44 in a vertical direction. - When the
front shelf 40 is at the extending position protruding, as shown inFIG. 4 , thecover rib 45 covers a gap between the two sides of thefront shelf 40 and thecorresponding base portion 40. An upper surface of thecover rib 45 is preferably on the same plane with thetop surface 311. This may further improve visual consistency of therefrigerator 1 having theshelf assembly 3 and the ordinary shelf 8. - Correspondingly, the
top surface 311 may further include atrench 312 extending in the front and rear direction and basically even with a gap between thecover rib 45 and thefront shelf 40. This brings a more uniform impression of therear shelf 30 and thefront shelf 40. - Each
support unit 4 may further include a stoppingportion 46 located on the rear portion of thebase portion 40, for stopping theshelf assembly 3 from further rotatation backward after theshelf assembly 3 is retracted to one side of thestorage chamber 2. The stoppingportion 46 is located above theshaft portion 41, and when the rear side of theshelf assembly 3 leans against the stoppingportion 46, theshelf assembly 3 may not continue to rotate backward. As shown inFIG. 3 , at a standing state, a gap still exists between theshelf assembly 3 and therear wall 22 of thestorage chamber 2, which may avoid influences of the standingshelf assembly 3 on air circulation in thestorage chamber 2. - A
stop surface 461, towards the front, of the stoppingportion 46 is a plane. Preferably, an angle formed between thestop surface 461 and the horizontal plane is between 95 degrees and 100 degrees, for example, 100 degrees.
