Description
- The present invention relates to a cooking oven with a cooling channel according to the preamble of claim 1. The cooling channel in a cooking oven is typically arranged above the oven cavity. Further, electric and/or electronic components are arranged on the cooling channel. Usually, the cooling channel is made of metal. The costs of the materials for the metallic cooling channel are relative low. However, the operational costs of the tools for the fabrication of the metallic cooling channel are relative high. In contrast, the operational costs of the tools for the fabrication of a cooling channel made of plastics would cause cost within a medium range, while the costs of the materials for the plastic cooling channel would be relative high.

FIG 2 illustrates acooking oven 10 with acooling channel 16 according to the prior art. Thecooking oven 10 comprises anoven cavity 12 and afront panel 14. Thecooling channel 16 is arranged above theoven cavity 12. Thecooling channel 16 is made of metal sheet. Electric and/or electronic components are arranged upon thecooling channel 16. Printedcircuit boards 18 and acapacitor 20 are arranged on the top side of thecooling channel 16. Thecapacitor 20 is fixed bybrackets 26. Saidbrackets 26 are made of metal. Further, acasing 22 for a high voltage power supply is arranged on the top side of thecooling channel 16. Moreover, cable supports 24 for a high voltage line are arranged on the top side of thecooling channel 16. The electric and/or electronic components are formed as separate units. The raw materials and supplies for the cooling channel and peripheral components are relative high. The amount of work for assembling the cooking oven is also relative high. -
DE 10 2010 042 892 A1 discloses an exhaust channel for a cooking oven. The exhaust channel comprises a base plate, a cover for a vapours channel and a cover for an exhaust gas channel. The base plate includes an integrated cover element forming a portion of the exhaust gas channel. The exhaust gas channel and the cover element are made of different materials. An interlocking of the components allows a stiff exhaust channel. -
EP 2 463 588 A1 discloses a cooking oven with a ventiduct comprising a bottom element and a flat cover element. The cover element includes a draw lead bushing for a bulb holder. The draw lead bushing is enclosed by an air passage with a plurality of ventilation openings. The air passage allows a cooling air transfer from the ventiduct to the bulb. -
DE 198 46 862 A1 discloses a cooking oven with an exhaust channel. A cover element of the exhaust channel is made of plastics and includes support elements. Said support elements are provided for the components of an interlocking system. The exhaust channel is arranged above an oven cavity. The interlocking system is provided for latching a front door of the oven cavity. -
WO 2012/117378 A1 discloses a cooking oven with a cooling channel. An upper portion of said cooling channel comprises a plurality of coupling means for fixing functional elements of the cooking oven to said cooling channel. The coupling means are formed by the same moulding operation that forms the cooling channel made of plastics. The functional elements may be an electronic card, an interface card and/or a door lock device. - It is an object of the present invention to provide a cooking oven with a cooling channel, wherein the overall costs for the cooling channel are minimized.
- The object of the present invention is achieved by the cooking oven according to claim 1.
- According to the present invention at least one cable support for at least one high voltage line is an integrated part of a wall of the cooling channel, wherein a capacitor is fastened by the clamping element, and wherein a casing for a high voltage power supply is arranged on the upper part of the cooling channel, wherein at least a part of said casing is an integrated part of the upper part of cooling channel, and wherein the cooling channel is made of a heat resistant material and/or a flame retardant material.
- The core of the present invention is the cooling channel made of plastics on the one hand and the arrangement of plastic components and/or plastic peripheral parts of the electric and/or electronic elements as integrated parts of said cooling channel on the other hand. The integrated structure of the cooling channel with additional components allows a simplified assembling of the cooking oven.
- According to a special embodiment of the present invention the cooling channel and at least a part of the plastic components and/or plastic peripheral parts of the electric, electronic and/or mechanical elements form a single-piece part. This contributes for a reduction of the components of the cooking oven.
- For example, at least one printed circuit board is an integrated part of the cooling channel and/or is assembled to the cooling channel with supports that are integral with the cooling channel. Further, the cooling channel and the at least one printed circuit board form a single-piece part.
- In particular, the at least one printed circuit board on the cooling channel comprises at least one conductor path.
- According to the present invention, at least one clamping element for the electric and/or electronic element is an integrated part of the cooling channel. Moreover, the cooling channel and the at least one clamping element for the electric, electronic and/or mechanical element may form a single-piece part. The clamping element is provided for fastening a capacitor.
- According to the present invention, at least one cable support is an integrated part of the cooling channel. In this case, the cooling channel and the at least one cable support may form a single-piece part. The at least one cable support is provided for at least one high voltage line.
- According to the present invention, the cooling channel is made of a heat resistant material and/or a flame retardant material.
- Preferably, the cooling channel is provided for an optimized air flow distribution.
- For example, the cooling channel may include an integrated wire routing.
- Novel and inventive features of the present invention are set forth in the appended claims.

FIG 1 illustrates a perspective rear view of acooking oven 10 with acooling channel 16 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. - The
cooking oven 10 comprises anoven cavity 12 and afront panel 14. The coolingchannel 16 is arranged above theoven cavity 12. The coolingchannel 16 is made of plastics. Electric and/or electronic components are arranged upon the coolingchannel 16. Printedcircuit boards 18 are integrated parts of an upper part of the coolingchannel 16. For example, the upper part of the coolingchannel 16 and the printedcircuit boards 18 are formed as a single-piece part. - A
capacitor 20 is arranged on the top side of the coolingchannel 16. Clampingelements 28 for thecapacitor 20 are integrated parts of the upper part of the coolingchannel 16. For example, the upper part of the coolingchannel 16 and theclamping elements 28 are formed as a single-piece part. - A
casing 22 for a high voltage power supply is arranged on the upper part of the coolingchannel 16. At least a part of saidcasing 22 for the high voltage power supply is an integrated part of the upper part of the coolingchannel 16. For example, the upper part of the coolingchannel 16 and the at least one part of thecasing 22 are formed as a single-piece part. - Further, cable supports 24 for a high voltage line are integrated parts of the upper part of the cooling
channel 16. For example, the upper part of the coolingchannel 16 and the cable supports 24 for the high voltage line are formed as a single-piece part. - In the
inventive cooking oven 10 the coolingchannel 16 is made of plastics and several components form peripheral parts of saidcooling channel 16. In particular, such components producible of plastics and arrangeable upon or beside the coolingchannel 16 are integrated part of the coolingchannel 16. Further, the coolingchannel 16 and some peripheral parts of saidcooling channel 16 may be formed as a single-piece part. Theinventive cooking oven 10 with the coolingchannel 16 reduces the number of components. -
FIG 2 illustrates a perspective rear view of thecooking oven 10 with the coolingchannel 16 according to the prior art. Thecooking oven 10 comprises theoven cavity 12 and thefront panel 14. The coolingchannel 16 is arranged above theoven cavity 12. The coolingchannel 16 is made of metal sheet. The electric and/or electronic components are arranged upon the coolingchannel 16. The printedcircuit boards 18 and acapacitor 20 are arranged on the top side of the coolingchannel 16. Thecapacitor 20 is fixed bybrackets 26. Saidbrackets 26 are made of metal. Further, thecasing 22 for the high voltage power supply is arranged on the top side of the coolingchannel 16. Moreover, the cable supports 24 for the high voltage line are arranged on the top side of the coolingchannel 16. The electric and/or electronic components are formed as separate units. -

Claims (7)
- A cooking oven (10) with a cooling channel (16) arranged upon or besides the oven cavity (12) comprised in the cooking oven (10), wherein- the cooling channel (16) is made of plastics and attached or attachable at a top wall or a side wall of the oven cavity (12),- the cooking oven (10) comprises electric, electronic and/or mechanical elements (18, 20) arranged or arrangeable upon or beside the cooling channel (16),- at least a part of plastic components (18, 22) and/or plastic peripheral parts (24, 28) of the electric, electronic and/or mechanical elements (18, 20) are integrated parts of the cooling channel (16), and- at least one clamping element (28) for the electric and/or electronic element (18, 20) is an integrated part of the cooling channel (16),characterized in that
at least one cable support (24) for at least one high voltage line is an integrated part of a wall of the cooling channel (16), wherein a capacitor (20) is fastened by the clamping element (28), and wherein a casing (22) for a high voltage power supply is arranged on the upper part of the cooling channel (16), wherein at least a part of said casing (22) is an integrated part of the upper part of cooling channel (16), and wherein the cooling channel (16) is made of a heat resistant material and/or a flame retardant material. - The cooking oven according to claim 1,
characterized in that
the cooling channel (16) and at least a part of the plastic components (18, 22) and/or plastic peripheral parts (24, 28) of the electric, electronic and/or mechanical elements (18, 20) form a single-piece part. - The cooking oven according to claim 1 or 2,
characterized in that
at least one printed circuit board (18) is an integrated part of the cooling channel (16) and/or is assembled to the cooling channel with supports that are integral with the cooling channel. - The cooking oven according to claim 3,
characterized in that
the at least one printed circuit board (18) on the cooling channel (16) comprises at least one conductor path. - The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in that
the cooling channel (16) and the at least one clamping element (28) for the electric, electronic and/or mechanical element (18, 20) form a single-piece part. - The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in that
the cooling channel (16) and the at least one cable support (24) form a single-piece part. - The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in that
the cooling channel (16) includes an integrated wire routing.
