Claims (10)

  1. Apparatus for ambient lighting, essentially consisting of a housing, in which there is arranged a device for supplying power to numerous LED lamps which are arranged in an encircling manner and are supplied with power via an electric cable, characterised in that the housing (12) is provided with an encircling surface (15) which is inclined with respect to the horizontal (H) and has a framework-like construction with numerous openings (18, 20), at least some of which are provided for receiving exchangeable LED modules (16).
  2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterised in that the LED lamps (16) are arranged in a manner encircling in a region of 360°.
  3. Apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the angle (α) between the inclined surface (15) and the horizontal (H) is between 10° and 45°, preferably 30°.
  4. Apparatus according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing (12) is of frustoconical form and is upwardly open.
  5. Apparatus according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing (12) has additional openings (18, 20) in the region of the inclined surface (15) and/or of the underside (19).

  8. Apparatus according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing (12) is provided with a strain relief (26) for the power cable (13), which strain relief is formed from a body, preferably a sphere (27), fastened on the cable (13) and releasably arranged in a correspondingly formed, trough-shaped receptacle (28) present in the housing (12).
