- the upper surfaces of the tables 300 are preferably generally planar and the upper surface of one table may contact the upper surface of another table when multiple tables are stacked together, a load or force on the tables may be distributed over a large area which may help prevent the tables from being damaged.
- the table 400 may include a frame 402 that is attached to the perimeter 18 of the table top 12.
- the table 400 may have generally the same size, shape, configuration and arrangement as the tables 10, 200 and 300.
- the frame 402 may include side rails 404 that include a receiving portion 406 that is sized and configured to receive an edge of the table top 12.

For example, when tables 10 are stacked and/or nested for manufacturing, transportation, storage, display and the like, a significant amount of weight or force may be applied to the tables. The weight or force may be particularly significant for the tables 10 disposed towards the lower portion of the stack.
- the pads 170 may include a clip 172 that is sized and configured to be attached to a portion of the frame 36, such as cross members 38, 40, 52, support structures 28 and/or other suitable portion of the table 10.
- the pad 170 may include a generally planar contact surface 174 that is sized and configured to contact an upper surface 14 of a nested table.
- the pad 170 may help distribute weight or force more equally, evenly and/or over a larger surface area of the adjacent table.
- the pad 170 may be attached by the clip 172, that may allow the pad to be easily and quickly attached and/or removed by the manufacturer, retailer and/or consumers.
- the number of pads 170 may depend upon the number of tables 10 to be stacked. For instance, a larger number of pads 170 may be used if a greater number of tables 10 are to be stacked or if the tables have to support a larger weight or force.
- a table 10 may include one or more foot caps 180 attached to feet 182 of the support structures 28 and/or legs 30.
- the table 10 may include the support structure 28 wherein the legs are elongated members 30 connected by a connecting member 32.
- the elongated members 30 may be constructed from tubular pieces of metal with a generally circular, oval, oblong, rectangular or other suitable cross-sectional configuration.
- the elongated members 30 may be bent or curved such that the upper portions of the elongated members are spaced closer together than the lower portions of the elongated members. Claims (15)
- Table (10) dimensionnée et configurée pour s'empiler avec une ou plusieurs autres tables adjacentes (10) afin de réduire la hauteur de la table (10) dans une configuration empilée, la table (10) comprenant :- un dessus de table (12) fabriqué en plastique moulé, le dessus de table comprenant :- une partie supérieure (14) ;- une partie de réception (64) formée au moins partiellement dans la partie supérieure (14), la partie de réception (64) étant dimensionnée et configurée pour recevoir une partie d'engagement (76) d'un châssis (36) d'une première table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) et la première table adjacente (10) se trouvent dans une configuration empilée ;- une partie inférieure (16) ;- une lèvre (20) s'étendant vers le bas depuis la partie inférieure (16) du dessus de table (12) ; et- un évidement dans la lèvre (20), la partie supérieure (14), la partie de réception (64), la partie inférieure (16), la lèvre (20) et l'évidement étant formés de manière intégrale en construction en une seule pièce unitaire ;- un châssis métallique (36) connecté au dessus de table (12), le châssis (36) comprenant :- un corps allongé disposé à proximité de la lèvre (20) du dessus table (12) ; et- une partie d'engagement (76) dimensionnée et configurée pour être disposée dans une partie de réception (64) d'une deuxième table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) et la deuxième table adjacente (10) se trouvent dans une configuration empilée, la partie d'engagement (76) étant disposée au moins à proximité de l'évidement dans la lèvre (20) ;- une première structure de support (28) pouvant se déplacer entre une position étendue et une position repliée par rapport au dessus de table (12) ;- une deuxième structure de support (28) pouvant se déplacer entre la position étendue et la position repliée par rapport au dessus de table (12).
- Table (10) selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la table (10), la première table adjacente (10), et la deuxième table adjacente (10) sont sensiblement identiques.
- Table (10) selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, dans laquelle une surface extérieure de la partie d'engagement (76) est visible et exposée dans l'évidement de la lèvre (20).
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre :- une partie réceptrice de châssis (64) formée de manière intégrale dans la partie inférieure (16) du dessus de table (12) en tant que construction en une seule pièce unitaire, une paroi de côté (66) de la partie réceptrice de châssis (64) étant sensiblement alignée et coplanaire avec une paroi intérieure de la lèvre (20) ;- dans laquelle une partie supérieure du châssis (36) est au contact de la paroi de côté (66) du châssis (36) et la paroi intérieure de la lèvre (20).
- Table (10) selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la partie d'engagement (76) est disposée au moins partiellement dans l'évidement de la lèvre (20) et dans laquelle au moins une partie de la partie d'engagement (76) est sensiblement alignée et coplanaire avec l'évidement de la lèvre (20).
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre une partie du châssis (36) s'étendant vers le haut qui est au contact avec une partie inférieure de la lèvre (20), la partie s'étendant vers le haut étant au moins partiellement disposée dans l'évidement de la lèvre (20).
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle :- au moins une partie de la lèvre (20) comporte un bord de compression (92) ; et- dans laquelle au moins une partie du bord de compression (92) est disposée dans au moins une partie de l'évidement.
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre une surface de support de la partie de réception (64) du dessus de table (12) dimensionnée et configurée pour se mettre en contact avec une surface d'engagement (78) de la partie d'engagement (76) de la première table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) et la première table adjacente (10) se trouvent dans la configuration empilée.
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre :- une partie réceptrice de châssis de (214) formée de manière intégrale dans la partie inférieure du dessus de table (12) en tant que membre de la construction à pièce unique unitaire ;- une partie d'engagement (220) disposée dans la partie réceptrice de châssis (214) du dessus de table (12), la partie d'engagement de (220) étant dimensionnée et configurée pour faciliter la fixation du châssis (36) au-dessus de table (12) ; et- une partie de réception (214) étant disposée dans le châssis (36), la partie de réception (214) comportant une partie élargie (220) dimensionnée et configurée pour recevoir la partie d'engagement (220), la partie de réception (214) comportant une partie plus petite dimensionnée et configurée pour se mettre au contact et s'engager avec la partie d'engagement de (220), la partie plus petite de la partie de réception (214) étant dimensionnée et configurée pour maintenir le châssis (36) dans une position généralement fixe par rapport au dessus de table (12).
- Table (10) selon la revendication 9, comprenant en outre :- un rebord (228) dans la partie d'engagement (220), un bord de la partie de réception (214) étant dimensionné et configuré pour être disposé dans le rebord (228) afin de maintenir le châssis (36) dans une position généralement fixe par rapport au dessus de table (12) ; et- dans laquelle le rebord (228) et la partie d'engagement (220) sont formés de manière intégrale avec le dessus de table (12) en tant que membre de la pièce unique de construction unitaire.
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre :- une première surface porteuse de charge (116) du châssis (36) dimensionnée et configurée pour se mettre en contact avec une surface supérieure généralement plane de la deuxième table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) est empilée avec la deuxième table adjacente (10), la première surface porteuse de charge (116) présentant une configuration sensiblement plane ; et- une deuxième surface porteuse de charge de la partie d'engagement (76) du châssis (36) dimensionnée et configurée pour se mettre en contact avec une partie de réception (64) de la deuxième table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) est empilée avec la deuxième table adjacente (10).
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle :- une surface inférieure de la partie d'engagement (76) est sensiblement alignée et coplanaire avec une surface inférieure d'un côté du dessus de table (10) ;- dans laquelle la surface inférieure de la partie d'engagement (76) est sensiblement alignée et coplanaire avec une surface inférieure d'un coin (24) du dessus de table (12) ; et- dans laquelle la surface inférieure de la partie d'engagement (76) est sensiblement alignée et coplanaire avec une surface inférieure d'une extrémité (26) du dessus de table (12).
- Table (10) selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, comprenant en outre un bord de compression (92) dans une partie inférieure de la lèvre (20), le bord de compression (92) et la partie d'engagement (76) du châssis (36) étant dimensionnés et configurés pour être disposés de manière simultanée dans la partie de réception (64) de la deuxième table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) est empilée avec la deuxième table adjacente (10).
- Table (10) selon la revendication 13, dans laquelle le dessus de table (12) en plastique moulé présente une épaisseur de paroi mesurée entre une surface intérieure et une surface extérieure d'une paroi extérieure ;- dans laquelle le bord de compression (92) présente une épaisseur deux fois celle de l'épaisseur de la paroi ;- dans laquelle le châssis métallique (36) présente une épaisseur de paroi mesurée entre une surface intérieure et une surface extérieure du châssis (36) ; et- dans laquelle la partie d'engagement (76) du châssis (36) présente une épaisseur deux fois celle de l'épaisseur de la paroi.
- Dessus de table (12) pour une table (10) dimensionné et configuré pour s'empiler avec une ou plusieurs tables adjacentes (10), afin de réduire la hauteur de la table (10) lorsque la table se trouve dans une configuration empilée avec la une ou plusieurs tables adjacentes (10), le dessus de table étant fabriqué en plastique moulé par soufflage, le dessus de table (12) comprenant :- une partie supérieure (14) ;- une partie de réception (64) disposée autour de la partie supérieure (14), la partie de réception (64) étant dimensionnée et configurée pour recevoir une partie d'engagement (76) d'un châssis (36) d'une table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) est empilée avec une table adjacente (10) ;- une partie inférieure (116) ;- partie intérieure creuse disposée entre la partie supérieure (14) et la partie inférieure (16) ;- une lèvre (20) s'étendant vers le bas depuis la partie inférieure (16) du dessus de table ; et- un évidement dans la lèvre (20), la partie supérieure (14), la partie de réception (64), la partie inférieure (16), la partie intérieure creuse, la lèvre (20) et l'évidement étant formés de manière intégrale en tant que pièce de construction unique unitaire pendant le moulage par soufflage ;- un châssis métallique (36) étant connecté au dessus de table (12), le châssis comprenant :- un corps allongé disposé à proximité de la lèvre (20) du dessus de table (12) ; et- une partie d'engagement (76) étant dimensionnée et configurée pour être disposée dans une partie de réception (64) d'une table adjacente (10) lorsque la table (10) est empilée avec une table adjacente (10), la partie d'engagement (76) étant disposée au moins à proximité de l'évidement dans la lèvre (20) ;- dans laquelle la table (10) et les tables adjacentes (10) sont sensiblement identiques ; et- dans laquelle le dessus de table (12) et le châssis sont dimensionnés et configurés pour permettre la réduction de la hauteur d'une table (10) en configuration empilée d'au moins 20 % ou plus par rapport à une hauteur de table (10) dans une configuration non-empilée.
