Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a lipstick case structure, and more particularly, to a slide type lipstick case structure which is configured wherein a protection cap adapted to surround the outer periphery of a lipstick is coupled to a body through a triple spiral in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulations, thereby allowing the lipstick to be extracted out of the body and to be retracted into the body.
- Generally, a lipstick, which is one of cosmetic products used for making a user's face look beautiful, is generally mounted into a case adapted to allow the lipstick to be moved up and down manually, and so as to use the lipstick, a cover of the lipstick case structure is open to make the lipstick extracted out of the interior of the case. According to the typical lipstick case structure, if a lower tube is rotated in a state where a lipstick-inserted tube is taken by a user's fingers, a rotary tube disposed at the inside of the lower tube is rotated so that guide protrusions of the lipstick-inserted tube are moved up and down along spiral grooves formed on a guide tube to cause the lipstick to be extracted out of the lipstick-inserted tube and to be retracted into the lipstick-inserted tube. Next, the lipstick extracted from the top end periphery of the lipstick-inserted tube is applied to the user's lips.
- The lipstick, one of cosmetic products for make-up, is applied to lips, and thus, the lipstick is mounted in the case for coloring the lips directly or by means of a separate brush rod.
- The lipstick case structure is twistedly rotated to cause the lipstick to be moved up from the interior of a case and at the same time to be extracted out of the front end periphery of the case, thereby applying the lipstick protruded from the case to the lips. In this case, a separate inner case is inserted into the case, that is, an outer case, so that the lipstick can be moved up and down from the outer case through the coupling structure between the outer case and the inner case.
- Moreover, the outer case is made with various colors and designs, thereby satisfying a user's various preferences.
-
FIG.1 is a separate perspective view showing a lipstick case structure of the prior art. As shown inFIG.1 , the lipstick case structure of the prior art largely includes aholder 10, aguide tube 20, and arotary tube 30, and further has alower case 40 coupled to the lower outer periphery of theguide tube 20 if necessary and acover 50 coupled to the upper outer periphery of theguide tube 20. - At this time, the
holder 10 has alipstick 12 having various colors and shapes mounted on the top side thereof, and it further has twoelevating protrusions 11 formed on both sides of the outer periphery thereof. - The
guide tube 20 has vertical guide slots formed on both sides thereof. - The
rotary tube 30 has aspiral groove 31 formed on the inner periphery thereof. - Accordingly, the
holder 10 is inserted into theguide tube 20 in such a manner as to allow theelevating protrusions 11 thereof to be inserted into theguide slots 21 of theguide tube 20, and therotary tube 30 is inserted into the outside of theguide tube 20 in such a manner as to allow theelevating protrusions 11 of theholder 10 protruded through theguide slots 21 to be located in thespiral groove 31 thereof. - In the above-mentioned coupling state, as a result, if the
guide tube 20 or therotary tube 30 is twistedly rotated or both of them are twistedly rotated in opposite directions to each other, theholder 10 is moved up and down inside theguide tube 20, and thelipstick 12 is extracted out of theguide tube 20 and is retracted into theguide tube 20. - If the
rotary tube 30 is rotated in one side direction thereof, thespiral groove 31 is rotated to cause theelevating protrusions 11 located in thespiral groove 31 to be moved up along the inclined portion of thespiral groove 31. Since theelevating protrusions 11 are located in theguide slots 21, they are moved up only within the range of the interior of theguide slots 21 to cause thelipstick 12 to be protruded in a vertical direction. - The lipstick case structure of the prior art having the above-mentioned operating configuration is operated to convert the rotary motions of the
guide tube 20 and therotary tube 30 into the linear motion of theholder 10, thereby allowing thelipstick 12 to be extracted out of theguide tube 20 and to be retracted into theguide tube 20. - However, the conventional lipstick case structure is made by coupling a plurality of parts like the
holder 10, theguide tube 20, therotary tube 30 and thelower case 40, which causes the manufacturing cost thereof to be undesirably raised. - Further, the coupling of the plurality of parts causes the man hours to be increased to make the productivity undesirably deteriorated.
- Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a slide type lipstick case structure which is configured wherein a protection cap adapted to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulations is coupled to a body, so that the lipstick is extracted out of the body at the time when the protection cap is moved down.
- To accomplish the above object, according to the present invention, there is provided a slide type lipstick case structure including: a body having a mounting portion formed on the center thereof, into which a lipstick is mounted; a protection cap coupled through triple spirals to the outer periphery of the body in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation, thereby allowing the lipstick to be exposed to the outside or inserted into the body; and a cover adapted to open and close the upper portion of the body into which the protection cap is mounted.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the body has an elevating passage formed between an inner tube and an outer tube spaced apart from each other by a given distance, along which the protection cap is moved up and down by means of the triple spiral, and the elevating passage has escape prevention means formed thereon in such a manner as to be engaged with the lower end of the protection cap, thereby preventing the protection cap from escaping from the body.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the escape prevention means has a protrusion formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube and the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the body has a spiral groove formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube and the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube, and the protection cap has a guide projection formed on any of the outer and inner peripheral surfaces thereof in such a manner as to be received into the spiral groove of the body.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the protection cap has a spiral groove formed on any of the outer and inner peripheral surfaces thereof and the body has a guide projection formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube and the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube in such a manner as to be received into the spiral groove of the protection cap.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the spiral groove and the guide protrusion are formed at the same time in three directions.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the cover is made of a transparent material.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the outer tube has a fastening ring formed along the top end periphery thereof in such a manner as to be engaged with the lower end periphery of the protection cap, thereby preventing the protection cap from escaping from the outer tube.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the inner tube has the mounting portion formed on the upper portion thereof to mount the lipstick thereon.
- According to the present invention, preferably, the mounting portion has a shape of a hopper having an upper diameter larger than a lower diameter thereof.
- According to the present invention, the slide type lipstick case structure is configured wherein the protection cap adapted to surround the outer periphery of the lipstick is directly coupled through triple spirals to the body in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulation, thereby allowing the lipstick to be exposed to the outside and to be inserted into the body, so that the opening and closing operations of the lipstick can be achieved just with the simple combination of the protection cap and the body. As a result, the number of parts used is substantially decreased to permit the manufacturing cost to be lowered, and further, the assembly man hours are shortened to improve the productivity.

FIGS.2 to 4 , the slide type lipstick case structure according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes: abody 100 into which alipstick 400 is mounted, aprotection cap 200 coupled to the outer periphery of thebody 100 through a triple spiral in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulations, thereby allowing thelipstick 400 to be extracted out of thebody 100 and retracted into thebody 100, and acover 300 adapted to open and close the upper portion of thebody 100 into which theprotection cap 200 is mounted. -
FIGS.5a and 5b are a sectional view and an enlarged view showing the main parts of the slide type lipstick case structure according to the first embodiment of the present invention. Referring toFIGS.5a and 5b , thebody 100 has amounting portion 130 formed on the center thereof to mount thelipstick 400 thereinto. At this time, as shown, themounting portion 130 has a shape of a hopper having an upper diameter larger than a lower diameter thereof. Such hopper-shaped mounting portion 130 is capable of mounting thelipstick 400 therein, without having a separate support plate. - For example, the whole diameter of the
lipstick 400 is similar to the upper diameter of the hopper-shaped mounting portion 130, and thus, even though thelipstick 400 is pushed toward thebody 100 by means of the pressure caused at the time of coloring lips, it is not pushed further by the inclined face of the hopper-shaped mounting portion 130. - Accordingly, the lower portion of the hopper-
shaped mounting portion 130 is formed of a hollow tube, which minimizes the volume of thebody 100 and reduces the material cost thereof. Further, thebody 100 has a spiral groove formed on the outer periphery thereof, to which theprotection cap 200 is coupled spirally. In this case, theprotection cap 200 has a guide protrusion formed on the inner periphery thereof, to which the spiral groove of thebody 100 is coupled. Of course, thebody 100 may have the guide protrusion, and theprotection cap 200 may have the spiral groove. - The
protection cap 200 is spirally coupled to thebody 100 in such a manner as to be moved up and down, and so as to prevent the escape from thebody 100, theprotection cap 200 has an escape prevention structure. For example, a prevention projection may be formed to allow theprotection cap 200 and thebody 100 to be engaged with each other, thereby preventing theprotection cap 200 from escaping from thebody 100. - The prevention projection may be formed on the top periphery of the
body 100 and the bottom periphery of theprotection cap 200 in such a manner as to face each other. Desirably, the prevention projection has a shape capable of climbing over each other by the application of an external force, for example, has a hemispherical section. - Further, as shown in
FIGS.5a and 5b, thebody 100 has a double tube structure wherein aninner tube 120 and anouter tube 110 are spaced apart from each other by a given distance. - At this time, an
elevating passage 140 is formed between theinner tube 120 and theouter tube 110, along which theprotection cap 200 is moved up and down in the state of being spirally coupled thereto. The elevatingpassage 140 is closed on the underside thereof and is open on the top thereof. - Escape prevention means 160 is formed on the elevating
passage 140 in such a manner as to be engaged with the lower end of theprotection cap 200, thereby preventing theprotection cap 200 from escaping from thebody 100. The escape prevention means 160 is formed of a round protrusion having a hemispherical section. - The escape prevention means 160 is formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of the
inner tube 120 and the inner peripheral surface of theouter tube 110. - The
inner tube 120 has the mountingportion 130 formed on the center portion thereof to mount thelipstick 400 thereinto, and the mountingportion 130 has a shape of a hopper having an upper diameter larger than a lower diameter thereof. The lower portion of the hopper-shaped mountingportion 130 is formed of a hollow tube. - The
protection cap 200 is spirally coupled directly to the outer periphery of thebody 100 in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulations, thereby allowing thelipstick 400 to be extracted out of thebody 100 and retracted into thebody 100. Theprotection cap 200 is formed of a hollow tube and has anescape prevention lip 210 formed along the lower end periphery thereof when the lipstick case structure is vertically upright. - The
escape prevention lip 210 is engaged with the escape prevention means 160 formed on thebody 100, thereby preventing theprotection cap 200 from escaping from thebody 100, and theescape prevention lip 210 is formed of a round protrusion having a hemispherical section. - The
escape prevention lip 210 is formed on any of the outer and inner peripheral surfaces of theprotection cap 200. - So as to perform the spiral coupling between the
protection cap 200 and thebody 100, additionally, a spiral groove and a guide projection for coupling to the spiral groove are formed. For example, aspiral groove 150 is formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of theinner tube 120 and the inner peripheral surface of theouter tube 110, and aguide projection 220 is formed on any of the outer and inner peripheral surfaces of theprotection cap 200. - Also, the
outer tube 110 has a round steppedportion 170 formed along the top end periphery thereof in such a manner as to be detachably coupled to the bottom end periphery of thecover 300. The steppedportion 170 and the top end periphery of thecover 300 are press-fitted to each other. - For example, a round protrusion (not shown) is formed along the stepped
portion 170, and a round protrusion (not shown) is formed along the top end periphery of thecover 300 correspondingly to the round protrusion of the steppedportion 170, so that the protrusions are engaged with each other to prevent thecover 300 from escaping from theouter tube 110.FIGS.6a and 6b are a sectional view and an enlarged view showing the main parts of a slide type lipstick case structure according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Referring toFIGS.6a and 6b , the configuration of the second embodiment of the present invention is almost similar to that of the first embodiment of the present invention, except that theouter tube 110 has afastening ring 500 formed along the top end periphery thereof in such a manner as to be engaged with the lower end periphery of theprotection cap 200, thereby preventing theprotection cap 200 from escaping from theouter tube 110. - For example, the forced coupling structure made by the escape prevention means 160 and the
escape prevention lip 210 can be adopted when thebody 100 and theprotection cap 200 are made of a deformable soft material like a synthetic resin, and accordingly, the forced coupling structure cannot be used when they are made of a material having low deformity such as a metal material, glass and the like. - Accordingly, as shown in
FIGS.6a and 6b , theescape prevention lip 210 is formed along the lower end periphery of theprotection cap 200, and theouter tube 110 has thefastening ring 500 formed along the top end periphery thereof, thefastening ring 500 having an inside protrusion formed to be located on top of theescape prevention lip 210. - At this time, the
fastening ring 500 has a round stepped portion formed along the top end periphery thereof in such a manner as to be detachably coupled to the lower end periphery of thecover 300. The stepped portion and the top end periphery of thecover 300 are press-fitted to each other. - For example, a round protrusion (not shown) is formed along the stepped portion, and a round protrusion (not shown) is formed along the top end periphery of the
cover 300 correspondingly to the round protrusion of the stepped portion, so that the protrusions are engaged with each other to prevent thecover 300 from escaping from theouter tube 110. - The
cover 300 is adapted to open and close the top portion of thebody 100 into which theprotection cap 200 is mounted and is made of a transparent material so that thelipstick 400 mounted can be seen from the outside. -
FIGS.8a and 8b are a perspective view and an enlarged view of the main parts of a protection cap of a slide type lipstick case structure according to a third embodiment of the present invention, andFIGS.9a and 9b are a perspective view and a bottom view showing a body in the slide type lipstick case structure according to the third embodiment of the present invention. - Referring to
FIGS.8a to 9b , the configuration of the third embodiment of the present invention is almost similar to that of the first embodiment of the present invention, except that aspiral groove 230 is formed on any of the outer and inner peripheral surfaces of theprotection cap 200 and aguide projection 121 is formed on any of the outer peripheral surface of theinner tube 120 and the inner peripheral surface of theouter tube 110 in such a manner as to be received with thespiral groove 230 of theprotection cap 200. - At this time, as shown in
FIGS.8a and 8b, theprotection cap 200 has aninclined guide portion 250 formed on a portion from which the lower endportion spiral groove 230 starts, so that theguide protrusion 121 climbs over the inclined face of theinclined guide portion 250 and is received into thespiral groove 230, thereby preventing the escape from theprotection cap 200 in a reverse direction. - Further, as shown in
FIGS.9a and 9b, in case where theguide protrusion 121 is formed on thebody 100, a portion of the bottom surface of thebody 100 is formed open to allow molding to be easily carried out. - Moreover, the mounting
portion 130 in which thelipstick 400 is mounted has apartition 131 formed thereon, and the structure of thepartition 131 can be applied to the first and second embodiments of the present invention. -
FIG.7 is a perspective view showing a spiral groove in the slide type lipstick case structure according to the second embodiment of the present invention, and as shown, the spiral groove and the guide protrusion in the first to third embodiments of the present invention have a triple spiral coupling structure where they are formed at the same time in three directions. - As mentioned above, the slide type lipstick case structure according to the preferred embodiments of the present invention is configured wherein the protection cap adapted to surround the outer periphery of the lipstick is directly coupled to the body through a triple spiral in such a manner as to be moved up and down by means of rotation manipulations, thereby allowing the lipstick to be extracted out of the body and to be retracted into the body, so that the extracting and retracting operations of the lipstick can be achieved just with the simple combination of the protection cap and the body. As a result, the number of parts used is substantially decreased to permit the manufacturing cost to be lowered, and further, the man hours for assembling are shortened to improve the productivity.
- While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
