Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Datenträgers (1), umfassend ein auf der Vorderseite durch Einwirkung von Laserstrahlung erhaltenes Kennzeichen und eine auf der Rückseite in einem streifenförmigen oder Patch-förmigen Sicherheitselement eingebrachte Markierung, die einen deckungsgleichen Ausschnitt des auf der Vorderseite aufgebrachten Kennzeichens bildet, wobei das Verfahren die folgenden Schritte enthält:
a) Bereitstellen eines Datenträgers (1), umfassend ein Datenträgersubstrat mit einem auf der Vorderseite angeordneten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereich (4) und einem auf der Rückseite angeordneten, in einem streifenförmigen oder Patch-förmigen Sicherheitselement gebildeten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereich, wobei der lasersensitive Kennzeichnungsbereich des Sicherheitselements mindestens zum Teil dem auf der Vorderseite des Substrats angeordneten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereich gegenüberliegt,
b) Beaufschlagen des auf der Vorderseite angeordneten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereichs (4) von der Vorderseite her mit Laserstrahlung, um den auf der Vorderseite angeordneten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereich (4) mit einem Kennzeichen (3) zu versehen und in dem auf der Rückseite angeordneten, im Sicherheitselement gebildeten lasersensitiven Kennzeichnungsbereich durch die das Substrat durchdringende Laserstrahlung eine Markierung (7) zu erzeugen, die einen deckungsgleichen Ausschnitt des auf der Vorderseite aufgebrachten Kennzeichens bildet.
