Definitions
- the invention relates to a sound absorber, in particular for internal combustion engines, according to the patent claim 1 and a corresponding method according to the patent claim 13.
- Turbocharger also known as turbocharger, short ATL, serve to increase the performance of internal combustion engines by increasing the fuel mixture throughput per cycle of the internal combustion engine.
- combustion engines such as turbochargers
- resulting sound can affect the environment and or the occupants of the vehicle in vehicles, such as cars, or at least be perceived as unpleasant, so that the ride comfort can be impaired or, for prolonged sound impact, such as longer trips, even an additional burden on the occupants can adjust.
- the invention provides a sound absorber for absorbing sound, in particular for an internal combustion engine, comprising: a perforated foil, preferably of metal, with a perforation with a hole proportion of 0.5-5%, preferably 3-5%.
- Perforation is understood here as the perforation of the film. Typically, any burrs are removed such that typically no artifacts formed by the piercing, possibly formed on only one side of the surface, occur.
- the appropriate choice of perforation creates a hole portion of the film of the most efficient sound can absorb by means of the film. Hole ratios of 0.5-5%, preferably 3-5%, may be particularly efficient. In this case, the ratio of a selected, perforated area or a perforated area of the film to a correspondingly selected non-perforated area should be considered as the proportion of perforations. If the perforation is subject to a periodicity or lattice-like structure, it should be compared in units of one period.
- the considered surfaces should be continuous and not concave. Typically, a rectangle or square or a rhombus / parallelogram corresponding to the structure of the perforation can be used. It should be explicitly considered the perforated area of a slide. For example, for transparencies that have an unperforated edge area, the unperforated edge area should not be viewed.
- the film used is preferably made of metal, for example, thin metal foils with a thickness of 0.5 .mu.m up to 200 .mu.m can be used. But other values are possible. It is also possible to use heat-resistant plastics.
- the film may have holes of the perforation with a hole diameter between 0.5 mm and 1 mm.
- the hole diameter is one of the parameters that can control the hole proportion.
- the hole diameter between 0.5 mm and 1 mm is efficient in terms of sound absorption and permeability of a film.
- the hole spacing can be considered, which is usually measured from hole center to hole center.
- the hole diameter of the perforation may be substantially constant.
- the hole diameters of the perforation will be constant, i. All holes of the film have substantially the same diameter. It is understood that it may be possible to have multiple hole diameters. Typically, however, the number will be limited to a few hole diameters. In terms of manufacturing, it is least expensive to provide only one hole diameter.
- the perforation can be lattice-like, in particular regularly grid-shaped.
- the perforation is lattice-like or even regular lattice-like. That is, the perforation may have a simple rectangular or even square structure, with each of the four corners being perforated.
- the film may be composed of several sub-films, wherein the sub-films may be welded or folded together.
- a sound absorber or sound absorbing structure can be composed of several sub-films to a surface or a body in the room.
- the partial films that form this body or structure can be suitably assembled, such as by folding or welding.
- Each of the sub-films may have a different hole proportion.
- partial films each have a different hole proportion. It is possible that some of these partial films are not perforated.
- the sound absorber may further comprise an insulating body, such as a nonwoven, wherein the insulating body comprises a fiber fabric, wherein the fiber fabric comprises mineral fibers, such as silicate fibers and / or glass fibers and / or ceramic fibers, which are preferably twisted.
- an insulating body such as a nonwoven
- the insulating body comprises a fiber fabric
- the fiber fabric comprises mineral fibers, such as silicate fibers and / or glass fibers and / or ceramic fibers, which are preferably twisted.
- An insulating body is typically mounted in the sound absorber nearby, in a film typically on one side of the film.
- the insulating body can absorb sound which passes through the holes of the film. It is also possible that the insulating body surrounds the film in at least some areas.
- the perforated film may additionally at least partially embossed with an embossed pattern, so that a relief-like structure is formed on the surface of the film.
- the embossing should be understood in addition to the perforation.
- Other designations for imprinting may be dotting or embossing.
- the result is a relief-like structure on the surface of the film, which in addition to perforation on the film, i. on the surface of the film can absorb sound.
- the relief-like "mountain and valley" structure can be suitably adapted in the production to be absorbed frequency ranges of sound.
- the embossing pattern can have an embossing depth in the range of 0.2 to 2 mm.
- the embossing depth can be substantially constant.
- the embossing pattern may be lattice-like, in particular regular lattice-like.
- the embossing depth can be different or it can be constant or even grid-like or regular lattice-like.
- the embossing pattern can be independent of the perforation. Similar to the perforation of the holes, distances are typically measured from the center, the highest point of a structure, to the corresponding center of another structure.
- the embossed pattern may match the perforation.
- the embossing pattern may coincide in its structure and / or its periodicity with the perforation of the film. But both can still be independent of each other. It is also possible that both match and are superimposed, i. where there is a hole in the film, especially in a regular perforation, is also an embossed structure, such as a mountainous top of the coinage.
- the embossing can be variable or only in partial areas of the film. If an unambiguous sound source with a sound direction can be determined, the embossing can also be varied as a function of the distance of the sound absorber from the sound source relative to the sound direction.
- the invention further provides a method of making a sound absorber for absorbing sound for an internal combustion engine, comprising the steps of: providing a foil, preferably of metal; Embossing at least a portion of the film, thereby embossing an embossing pattern, so that a relief-like structure is formed on the surface of the film, wherein the embossing pattern has an embossing depth in the range of 0.2 - 2 mm; Perforating the film so that the perforated film has a hole content of 0.7-5%, preferably 3-5%; Providing an insulating body, such as a nonwoven, wherein the insulating body comprises a fiber fabric, wherein the fiber fabric comprises mineral fibers, such as silicate fibers and / or glass fibers and / or ceramic fibers, which are preferably twisted.
- suitable tools such as variable in length needles can be used to punch the film after an embossed pattern is already impressed. This allows the embossing even before punching, i. Perforating the film done, which is manufacturing technology advantageous.
- the punching direction is for punching the foil, i. from which side the film is perforated, not crucial.
- a further aspect of the invention relates to the use of a sound absorber as described above for the sound absorption of sound of a turbocharger in an engine compartment of a vehicle.
- a further aspect of the invention relates to a vehicle with an engine compartment which comprises an engine, in particular an internal combustion engine with a turbocharger, and a sound absorber as described above.

Abstract
Description

Fig. 1A zeigt eine Schemazeichnung einer perforierten Folie 1.
- In
- In
