Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a cap strip of a safety cap, in particular to an adjustable cap strip with a light emitting module.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • At present, people pays more attention to their health than ever, and riding bicycle becomes one of the popular fitness sports, and activities such as fixed-point or around-the-island bicycling tours are promoted and developed rapidly. However, riders ride their bicycles very fast in some of the bicycle activities, and accidents may occur once the bicycle is toppled over and the riders may fall and hit their head, or the vision is relatively poor when the riders ride at night. The bicycle rider may not pay enough attention to the road condition in the front and hit other bicycles or motor vehicles, and injuries may occur. Therefore, bicycle riders start wearing bicycle helmet. However, the conventional bicycle helmet only comes with a cap strip fastened at the lower chin of the rider. Since the size of the riders' heads is different, and it is difficult to find a perfect match of the right-sized helmet, therefore an adjustable cap strip is added to the bicycle helmet for adjusting the head size of the bicycle helmet. However, riders riding at night still have the aforementioned risk, and thus it is a main subject of the present invention to overcome the foregoing problems.
  • The conventional adjustable cap strip comprises a base, a strip body and a knob assembly, wherein the base has a containing groove formed at the middle and a through slot formed separately at both ends and interconnected with the containing groove, and a long slot with a rack is disposed separately at both ends of the strip body and passed through the through slots at both ends of the base and stacked with one another in the containing space. The knob assembly has a gear installed at an end of the knob assembly, wherein an end of the knob assembly having the gear installed at the base is contained in the containing space, such that the gear can be passed and installed into each long slot and engaged and transmitted with the rack, so that the knob assembly can be rotated to adjust the length of the strip body to achieve the function of adjusting the head size of the bicycle helmet.
  • Although the conventional adjustable cap strip has the function of adjusting the head size of the bicycle helmet, yet it still has the following drawbacks. Since the bicycle helmet does not emit light, therefore when a rider rides at night time, the rider still has the risk of being hit by other bicycles or motor vehicles coming from behind due to the low visibility at night. Obviously, the prior art requires further improvements.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide an adjustable cap strip with a light emitting module, wherein a light emitting unit is installed at an end of a knob assembly to form a light emitting module, so that a safety cap can emit light at night time to remind and warn cars coming from behind.
  • To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides an adjustable cap strip with a light emitting module, comprising a base, a strip body and a light emitting module, wherein the base has a containing space and a through slot interconnected with the containing space, and a long slot is formed separately at both ends of the strip body, and a rack is formed at an inner edge of each long slot, and the through slots are stacked with one another in the containing space, and the light emitting module includes a knob assembly and a light emitting unit coupled to the knob assembly, and the knob assembly includes a knob, a shaft extended from the knob and pivotally coupled to the base at a position corresponding to the containing space, and a gear is driven and rotated by the knob, passed into each long slot, and engaged and transmitted with each of the racks.
  • In addition, the present invention further has the effect of changing batteries when the battery power is low or exhausted by covering the upper cover plate onto the case cover, and the light emitting unit in the light emitting module is a light source of light emitting diodes, so that the power consumption is very small, and an excellent power saving effect can be achieved. In addition, there is no need to replace the battery frequently, and thus avoiding unnecessary waste of resources.
