Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Erwärmung oder Trocknung von langgestreckten Materialien, insbesondere für Game oder Fäden. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung weist mindestens einen an den Stirnseiten 5, 6 offenen Hohlkörper mit mindestens einem langgestreckten Hohlraum 4 zur Aufnahme der langgestreckten Materialien 2 auf, die den Hohlkörper in einem kontinuierlichen Prozess durchlaufen, Die Vorrichtung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass sich eine Strahlungsheizung 9 nur über einen Teilabschnitt 7 des langgestreckten Hohlraums 4 erstreckt, wobei eine Einrichtung 14 zum Zu- und Abführen von Kühlluft für die Strahlungsheizung vorgesehen ist, die derart ausgebildet ist, dass die Kühlluft den Teilabschnitt 7 des langgestreckten Hohlraums, in dem die Strahlungsheizung 9 angeordnet ist, zugeführt wird und die Luft aus dem Teilabschnitt 8, in dem die Strahlungsheizung nicht angeordnet ist, abgeführt wird. Folglich gliedert sich der Erwärmungs- bzw. Trocknungsprozess in zwei Teilprozesse, wobei in dem einen Teilprozess die Erwärmung bzw. Trocknung mit einer konvektiven Wärmestrahlung und in dem anderen Teilprozess in einem von der Strahlungsheizung zuvor erwärmten Luftstrom erfolgt.
