drawer rail 20 comprises afixation flange 48 in each end portion. Thefixation flange 48 has two different functions. Thefront wheel 44 is fixable at thefixation flange 48 by using anaxle 50. Further, thefixation flange 48 acts as a wheel stop for therear wheels 46. The front portion and the rear portion of thedrawer wheel 20 are symmetric. Thus, thesame drawer wheel 20 can be used for the left hand side and right hand side. - In
FIG 10 thefront wheel 44 is fixed at thefixation flange 48 at the right hand side, while theother fixation flange 48 at the left hand side acts as the wheel stop for therear wheel 46 at thedrawer 16. Thus, thedrawer rail 20 inFIG 10 is provided for the right side of thecooking appliance 10. Thesame drawer rail 20 can be used for the left side of thecooking appliance 10, when thefront wheel 44 is removed from thefixation flange 48 on the right hand side and fixed at thefixation flange 48 on the left hand side. Thus, a set of two identical drawer rails 20 can be used as a pair ofdrawer rail 20 for the left hand side and right hand side. - Further, an
entry flange 60 is arranged at both end portions of thedrawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are prolongations of a vertical part of thedrawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are inclined outwardly. The insertion of the drawer into thedrawer rail 20 is simplified by theentry flanges 60. -
FIG 11 illustrates a perspective view at an outer side of a portion of thedrawer rail 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. Anaxle screw 58 is provided for fixing theaxle 50. Theaxle screw 58 is inserted from the outer side of thedrawer rail 20, while the axle is inserted from the inner side of thedrawer rail 20. -
FIG 12 illustrates a front view of two symmetric drawer rails 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.FIG 13 illustrates a left view of said two symmetric drawer rails 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. - A
symmetry axis 52 characterizes the symmetry between the both drawer rails 20 inFIG 12 . Asymmetry axis 54 characterizes the symmetry between the front portion and rear portion of eachdrawer rail 20 inFIG 12 . - Further, the
drawer rail 20 comprises twoclamp fixations 56. Eachclamp fixation 56 corresponds with one of thefixation flanges 48. Theclamp fixation 56 retains therear wheel 46 of thedrawer 16, when thecorresponding fixation flange 48 acts as wheel stop. Theentry flange 60 is arranged at both end portions of thedrawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are inclined outwardly. - The change of the position of the plinth 14 can be performed by the user. In the delivery condition of the
cooking appliance 10 theplinth 12 has the front position shown inFIG 1 . Sometimes, the user wants to have the back position shown inFIG 2 . In order to change the position, the user has to remove thedrawer 16 out of the drawer rails 20. Then, thescrews 42 have to be disconnected from the front wall of the plinth 14, and thedrawer rail 20 can be removed. Next, thescrews 26 connecting thecorpus 12 to the plinth 14 are removed, so that thecorpus 12 and the plinth 14 can be disjoint. Then, theplinth 14 is placed at thecorpus 12 in the back position. As next, thescrews 26 connecting thecorpus 12 to the plinth 14 are reinserted again. Then, the drawer rails 20 are inserted, and thescrews 42 are screwed into the front wall of theplinth 14. At last, the drawer is reinserted again. - Although an illustrative embodiment of the present invention has been described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to that precise embodiment, and that various other changes and modifications may be affected within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
