The drawer rails 20 protrude in front of the front wall of the plinth 14. Each drawer rail 20 comprises a front wheel 44 in its front portion.
  • FIG 8 illustrates a perspective rear view of the plinth 14 with drawer rails 20 installed for the back position according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG 8 clarifies that the drawer rails 20 are fixed by four screws 42 at the rear wall of the plinth 14 in the same way as in FIG 5. For the front position the four screws 42 fixed at the front wall of the plinth 14, while the four screws 42 for the back position are fixed at the rear wall of the plinth 14.
  • FIG 9 illustrates a perspective rear view of the plinth 14 with the drawer 16 for the front position according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG 9 shows that the drawer 16 comprises a pair of rear wheels 46. The rear wheels 46 are provided for rolling on the drawer rail 20. While the rear wheels 46 are fastened at the rear portion of the drawer 16, the front wheels 44 are fastened at the front portion of the drawer rail 20.
  • FIG 10 illustrates a perspective view at an inner side of the drawer rail 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • The drawer rail 20 comprises a fixation flange 48 in each end portion. The fixation flange 48 has two different functions. The front wheel 44 is fixable at the fixation flange 48 by using an axle 50. Further, the fixation flange 48 acts as a wheel stop for the rear wheels 46. The front portion and the rear portion of the drawer wheel 20 are symmetric. Thus, the same drawer wheel 20 can be used for the left hand side and right hand side.
  • In FIG 10 the front wheel 44 is fixed at the fixation flange 48 at the right hand side, while the other fixation flange 48 at the left hand side acts as the wheel stop for the rear wheel 46 at the drawer 16. Thus, the drawer rail 20 in FIG 10 is provided for the right side of the cooking appliance 10. The same drawer rail 20 can be used for the left side of the cooking appliance 10, when the front wheel 44 is removed from the fixation flange 48 on the right hand side and fixed at the fixation flange 48 on the left hand side. Thus, a set of two identical drawer rails 20 can be used as a pair of drawer rail 20 for the left hand side and right hand side.
  • Further, an entry flange 60 is arranged at both end portions of the drawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are prolongations of a vertical part of the drawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are inclined outwardly. The insertion of the drawer into the drawer rail 20 is simplified by the entry flanges 60.
  • FIG 11 illustrates a perspective view at an outer side of a portion of the drawer rail 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. An axle screw 58 is provided for fixing the axle 50. The axle screw 58 is inserted from the outer side of the drawer rail 20, while the axle is inserted from the inner side of the drawer rail 20.
  • FIG 12 illustrates a front view of two symmetric drawer rails 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. FIG 13 illustrates a left view of said two symmetric drawer rails 20 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • A symmetry axis 52 characterizes the symmetry between the both drawer rails 20 in FIG 12. A symmetry axis 54 characterizes the symmetry between the front portion and rear portion of each drawer rail 20 in FIG 12.
  • Further, the drawer rail 20 comprises two clamp fixations 56. Each clamp fixation 56 corresponds with one of the fixation flanges 48. The clamp fixation 56 retains the rear wheel 46 of the drawer 16, when the corresponding fixation flange 48 acts as wheel stop. The entry flange 60 is arranged at both end portions of the drawer rail 20. The entry flanges 60 are inclined outwardly.
  • The change of the position of the plinth 14 can be performed by the user. In the delivery condition of the cooking appliance 10 the plinth 12 has the front position shown in FIG 1. Sometimes, the user wants to have the back position shown in FIG 2. In order to change the position, the user has to remove the drawer 16 out of the drawer rails 20. Then, the screws 42 have to be disconnected from the front wall of the plinth 14, and the drawer rail 20 can be removed. Next, the screws 26 connecting the corpus 12 to the plinth 14 are removed, so that the corpus 12 and the plinth 14 can be disjoint. Then, the plinth 14 is placed at the corpus 12 in the back position. As next, the screws 26 connecting the corpus 12 to the plinth 14 are reinserted again. Then, the drawer rails 20 are inserted, and the screws 42 are screwed into the front wall of the plinth 14. At last, the drawer is reinserted again.
  • Although an illustrative embodiment of the present invention has been described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to that precise embodiment, and that various other changes and modifications may be affected within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
