Description

  • The invention relates to a method and system for the control of a lock and latch mechanism using a mobile device.
  • The invention relates to a method and a system for the control of pulse-coded electronic systems to control wirelessly technical objects within a distance of a few meters, in particular using devices designed to make phone calls, to open doors, gates, wickets, and the like.
  • The system for wireless communication between a remote transmitter and control module for opening and closing garage doors, using radio communication and identification of a unique number stored in the transmitter, is known from the patent U.S. 2011/0172885A1 "Universal garage door opener and appliance control system"..
  • Systems of this type, consisting of a mobile transmitter and a stationary receiver, usually rely on using an infrared beam generator on the transmitter side passing the signal, through an amplifier and a stabilizer, with a filtering system, and, in some embodiments, also with a programmable time base generator. The receiver circuit in these systems includes an infrared radiation detector, communicating through a system of filters, stabilizers and amplifiers with an identifying and counting system connected to an actuating drive unit, usually being a specialized, multi-contact, time-lag relay.
  • A system defined in the specification of the invention WO 2006083551 "Remote garage door monitoring system" is a method for controlling the opening and the closing of a garage door via a remote signal from a mobile phone, transmitted via mobile networks. The signal is received via a modem and passed to the door controller via a computer. The system requires installing cameras and transmitting the video signal via a mobile network, because the identification is performed by the user, without using other codes and keys.
  • The system is known from the Polish patent specification No. 165721 . It is a system for wireless transmission of signals to control technical objects, especially a programmable key, which consists of a known mobile transmitter and a stationary receiver including a known individual power source on both the sending and the receiving side, also including known systems for the formation and encoding of control impulses. That system is characterized in that its transmitter consists of - arranged in series and connected through a key to an autonomous power source - an encoder and a low power high frequency generator with output resonance circuit. The receiver consists of a set in the series and each connected to a common power supply through stabilizer: a high-frequency amplifier, equipped with a receiving antenna, supplied via oscillator, low frequency amplifier, a decoder, a logic block to executive block, especially a unit containing the electromagnetic relay at the output.
  • A control system for mechanical security of access, known from the Polish patent application No. P.390402 , consisting of a mobile control device and a controlled device that is combined with mechanical devices (units) for securing the access to facilities and equipped with a transmitter-receiver of wireless signals, an actuator as a signal generator for electro-mechanical security of access and a controller, all connected to a common power source. However, said patent application does not show the module nor the method for changing the access codes stored in the controller memory.
  • The essence of the method for the control of lock and latch mechanisms, using an encoded signal - transmitted wirelessly from a transmitter and received by a receiver - and processed into a signal controlling actuators, consists in that the encoded signal is sent out from the transmitter to a receiver, then the signal is transferred to a signal processing module, where the signal is decoded and then transmitted to a memory module where it is stored, subsequently, the processing module is disconnected from the memory module and the processing module is connected to a code identification module, next a subsequent signal or more signals are subsequently sent out from the transmitter to the receiver, wherefrom they are transferred to the signal processing module, and the decoded signal is transferred to the code identification module and compared with the code stored in the memory module, after which the signal is transferred to a module which generates signals for actuator, and when such code is positively identified, a signal is generated and transferred to an actuator, and when the code is negatively identified, the signal is generated and transferred to an alarm device.
  • The essence of the control system of the lock and latch mechanism, consisting of a mobile device for sending wireless signals, a controller with a transmitter-receiver of wireless signals, modules for processing and identification of codes, a memory module and an actuator connected to the lock and latch mechanism, is that the input of the processing module is connected to the output of the transmitter-receiver of signals, and the output of the processing module is connected to a mode switch whose one of the outputs is connected to the memory module and the other is connected to the input of the identification module, while the output of the identification module is connected to the signal generating module whose outputs are connected to the actuator and the alarm devices, and the output of the memory module is connected to the input of the code identification module.
  • A favorable effect of the invention is that the alarm device and the controller mode switch allowing for modification of the codes stored in the controller memory are turned on simultaneously with the actuator. Using in the system of the optical signal as a carrier of information, according to the present invention, is important for safety reasons, facilitating the user direct monitoring of the operation of the locks and latches mechanism control system. In addition to the above, applying cellular telephony devices as the mobile devices allows for remote transfer of access keys and getting the access and monitoring the access to public facilities.
  • The invention is illustrated in the drawing (Figue 2 and Figure 2). Figure 1 is a block diagram of the method for the control of the lock and latch mechanism, and Figure 2 depicts the system for the control of lock and latch mechanism.
  • The method of the control of a lock and latch mechanism using a coded signal transmitted wirelessly from a transmitter and received by a receiver, processed into a signal controlling actuators, consists in sending an encoded signal from a transmitter T to a receiver 1, and then transmitting that signal to a signal processing module 2. In service mode, a processing module 3 and a memory module 4 are connected through a switch 3, and the signal is decoded and subsequently transmitted to the memory module 4 where it is stored. Next, the processing module 2 is disconnected from the memory module 4 and the processing module 2 is connected to the code identification module 5, thus switching the device into the identification mode, and then the signal(s) is (are) sent from the transmitter T to the receiver 1, wherefrom the signal(s) is (are) transferred to the signal processing module 2, to be decoded, and next the decoded signal is transferred to the code identification module 5 and compared with the code stored in the memory module 4. Subsequently, the signal is sent to module 6 of signal generation for actuators where, if the code is positively identified, a signal is generated and transferred to an actuator 7, while in the case of negative identification, a signal is generated and transferred to an alarm device 8.
  • The control system for lock and latch mechanism consists of a mobile device T for sending wireless signals, a controller equipped with a wireless signal transmitter-receiver 1, a processing module 2, a device operating mode switch 3, a memory module 4, a code identification module 5, a signal generator module 6 for actuator modules: module 7 connected to the lock mechanism and the alarm module 8. In this arrangement, the input of the processing module 2 is connected to the output of the signal transmitter-receiver 1, and the output of the processing module 2 is connected to the mode switch 3, whose one output is connected to the memory module 4 and the other output is connected to the input of the identification unit 5, and the output of the identification module 5 is connected to the actuator signal generation module 6 whose outputs are connected to an actuator 7 and an alarm device 8, and the output of the memory module 4 is connected to the input of the code identification module 5.
  • Access code is written in the electronic business card menu items in VCARD format in a SIM card or in the memory of a mobile phone T, capable of communicating with the IrDA protocol (IrPHY 1.4, IrLAP 1.1, IrLMP 1.1, OBEX 1.3 or newer).
  • On the SIM card or in the memory of the mobile telephone T having the ability to initiate communication using IrDA protocol (IrPHY 1.4, IrLAP 1.1, IrLMP 1.1, OBEX 1.3 or later) the access code is stored and located in the Card name field in VCARD format.
  • During programming of the controller of the device according to the invention, the device was switched using a mode switch 3 into service mode, which resulted in connecting the output of the code processing module 2 to the input of the memory module 4. Next, using the phone book of a mobile phone T, an item from the contact list containing the access code and the function of sending a business card using wireless transmission (IrDA), were selected. Communication was established between the transmitter-receiver of the phone T and the transmitter-receiver 1 of the device according to the invention, and then the signal sent from the phone, containing the code, was received. The signal was transmitted to the processing module 2 where it was decoded and the resulting code was transferred to the memory module 4 where it was saved.
  • Afterward, the device was switched using the mode switch 3 into the identification mode, which resulted in connecting the output of the code processing module 2 to the input of the code identification module 5, and the operations related to sending from the phone the business card containing code were repeated. In this case, the signal received in the device according to the invention was transferred to the processing module 2 and then to the identification module 5, where the comparison of that code with the code previously stored in the memory module 4 took place. As a result of the comparison, a positive result was obtained, which was passed to the control signal generation module 6, which generated a signal for changing the state of the actuator module 7, that is, closing or opening of the actuator connected to the mechanism of closing / opening of the door lock.
