Abstract

L'invention porte sur des techniques de distribution d'objets de contenu dans un réseau de distribution de contenu (CDN). Dans un mode de réalisation, un serveur de distribution CDN détecte la disponibilité d'un objet de contenu et détermine si l'objet de contenu est candidat ou non pour une distribution. Le serveur de distribution peut détecter la disponibilité de l'objet de contenu en réponse à la disponibilité d'un nouveau contenu ou à la mise à jour d'un contenu par un fournisseur au niveau d'un site de contenu ou d'un emplacement dans le CDN. Le serveur de distribution obtient des informations d'identification pour un objet de contenu candidat et détermine une partie sélectionnée de l'objet de contenu à distribuer dans le CDN. La partie sélectionnée peut être un nombre prédéterminé d'octets se trouvant à une position prédéterminée dans l'objet de contenu, dont la taille et l'emplacement peuvent être déterminés conformément à des données de mise en correspondance spécifiques au contenu. Le serveur de distribution peut pousser la partie sélectionnée de l'objet de contenu vers un ou plusieurs groupes de serveurs de périphérie de CDN en l'absence d'une requête d'utilisateur final.
