- Advantageously, the elastic element is made of a wire with branches at its end portions and at least one protruding part at its central portion. This contributes to an easy production.
- For example, the branches and the protruding part extend within one plane in the relaxed state of the elastic element.
- Preferably, the branches are inserted in or insertable into the lid body and the protruding part is inserted in or insertable into the hopper or the casing of the washing machine.
- Further, the lid body and the hopper or the casing of the washing machine may be interconnected by two or more, preferably a pair, of hinges.
- Advantageously, the hinges may be inserted in or insertable into corresponding seats in the hopper or casing of the washing machine.
- At the lid, the hinges may be supported by the elastic element.
- Further, a control panel supported by a body may be arranged on the top side of the washing machine and behind the lid, wherein the designs of the cover sheet and the control panel are adapted to each other, and wherein the shapes of the body of the control panel and the lid body are advantageously adapted to each other.
