The manhole cover according to claim 1, characterized in that the means for attaching the gasket (11) to the skirt (10) comprise an internal tenon (13) protruding from the core (11a) of the gasket (11) perpendicularly to the latter between both branches (11b) of the latter and flexible lips (14) located on each side of the tenon (13) capable of elastically engaging into a groove (15) formed in the edge of the skirt (10) in order to retain the tenon (13) in the groove (15).
  3. The manhole cover according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the means for attaching the gasket (11) to the skirt (10) further comprise substantially parallel striations (16) secured to both internal faces of the branches (11b) of the gasket (11) and capable of closely bearing upon both side faces of the skirt (10), respectively.
  4. The manhole cover according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the groove (15) cross-sectionally has substantially the shape of an isosceles trapezium exteriorly opening out from the edge of the skirt (10) through its large base.

The manhole cover according to claim 4, characterized in that at least two pairs of parallel lips (14) protruding on either side of the tenon (13) from the free end of the tenon (13) are tilted by a same angle relatively to the tenon (13) towards the core (11a) of the U of the gasket (11) so as to have in a cross-section of the tenon (13) an external isosceles trapezium profile with a conjugate form to the groove 15.
  6. The manhole cover according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that both branches (11b) of the U of the gasket (11) converge towards each other in order to clasp the skirt (10) of the lid (3).
  7. The manhole cover according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gasket (11) comprises at least one flexible external peripheral lip (17) sealably bearing upon the internal face of the peripheral wall (6) of the frame (2).
  8. The manhole cover according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gasket (11) is made in a single piece from a material based on synthetic rubber, such as an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer.
  9. The manhole cover according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the frame (2) and the lid (3) are circular, the bearing peripheral rib (8) is a radially internal flange, the skirt (10) is cylindrical, the groove (15) of the skirt (10) is a ring-shaped groove and the gasket (11) and its internal tenon (13) are ring-shaped.
  10. The manhole cover according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the frame (2) and the lid (3) are rectangular or square, the skirt (10) is formed by four ribs with the general shape of a rectangle or square each comprising a groove (15) and the gasket (11) consists of four independent strips attached by clipping on the four ribs of the skirt (10), respectively.

The seal and sound-insulation gasket according to claim 12, characterized in that the means allowing attachment of the gasket (11) to the skirt (10) comprise an internal tenon (13) protruding from the core (11a) of the gasket (11) perpendicularly to the latter between both branches (11b) of the latter and flexible lips (14) located on each side of the tenon (13) capable of elastically engaging into a groove (15) formed in the edge of the skirt (10) for retaining the tenon (13) in the groove (15).
  14.   16. The seal and sound-insulation gasket according to one of claims 12 to 15, characterized in that both branches (11b) of the U of the gasket (11) converge towards each other.
  17. The seal and sound-insulation gasket according to one of claims 12 to 16, characterized in that it comprises at least one flexible external peripheral lip (17) which may sealably bear upon the internal face of the peripheral wall (6) of the frame (2).
  18. The seal and sound-insulation gasket according to one of claims 12 to 17, characterized in that it is made in a single piece from a material based on synthetic rubber, such as an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer.
