Description
- The present invention relates to a draw bar. In particular, the present invention relates to a rotary draw bar for pulling cases or bags.
- Conventional draw bars for pulling cases or bags typically can only stretch out and draw back, but cannot rotate relative to its perpendicular plane. Thus, the pulled cases or bags can only move in a tilt state, but cannot move in a horizontal state. When things such as pets (e.g., dogs and cats) in the case or bag need to be maintained in horizontal state, this is not possible to achieve with the conventional draw bars. Currently, some products have draw bars that can make rotation. However, the draw bar can only have a one-section telescopic rod, which limits the extension in length. In addition, the rotary structure of the draw bar is relatively complex, with high cost and less reliability.
-
CN 2 686 395 Y discloses a rotary draw bar comprising a telescopic rod rotatably connected with a fixed base, and a jumping bead device having a jumping bead spring biased in a longitudinal direction of the telescopic rod for embedding the jumping bead in a positioning hole. By rotating the telescopic rod relative to the fixed base, said jumping bead retracts from the positioning hole so that the telescopic rod can be rotated freely relative to fixed base until the jumping bead snaps into another positioning hole defining another angle position of the telescopic rod. - It is an object of the present invention to provide a rotary draw bar that not only has simple structure, reliable operation, less space occupancy, and can randomly change the number of sections of the telescopic rod, but also can rotate.
- In order to solve the above problem, the present invention provides a rotary draw bar according to
claim 1. - The fixed rod is a hollow rod.
- The hollow rod preferably has a rectangular section.
- The linkage between the leading end of the telescopic rod and the rotary shaft use rabbet joint. The rotary shaft has a radial rabbet, which is provided with an axial opening for exposing the jumping bead. The telescopic rod has a choke plug at the leading end. The leading end of the telescopic rod embeds into the radial rabbet, and the axial opening faces to the inclined surface and positioning hole on the fixed base.
- The telescopic rod preferably is composed of at least two sections of hollow rods in nested connection. Each section of hollow rods has a leading end that is provided with a jumping bead device. Each section of the hollow rods of the telescopic rod preferably has a rectangular cross section.
- The fixed base preferably is composed of a left part and a right part that are joined in alignment. The right part has an inclined surface and a positioning hole thereon.
- In use, the fixed rod and fixed base are secured at a bottom of the case or bag. When in use, the telescopic rod needs to be stretched out. The second section hollow rod will be pulled backwards. The push rod of the jumping bead device will back out under the action of the spring. At the same time, the spring will pop out the jumping bead. The exposed jumping bead is in contact with the inclined surface of the fixed base, to rotate the telescopic rod upwards. The telescopic rod will rotate with the rotary shaft. During rotation, the jumping bead slides on the inclined surface of the fixed base. When the telescopic rod rotates a certain angle, the jumping bead will embed into the positioning hole to position the telescopic rod. Only by setting the location of the positioning hole as desired, the rotational angle of the telescopic rod can be controlled and adjustment of the position of the case or bag can be realized (e.g., to have the case or bag in horizontal position). When not in use, the telescopic rod needs to be drawn back. The second section hollow rod will be pushed forwards. The bottom surface of the support of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the second section hollow rod will press the push rod of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first section hollow rod, to make the push rod move forward, to force the spring of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first section hollow rod to be tightened, so that the jumping bead of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first section hollow rod will be retracted and not exposed. This allows the jumping bead to leave the positioning hole, and the telescopic rod can downwardly turn around. When the telescopic rod rotates to the initial state (i.e., the telescopic rod is coaxial with the fixed rod), the telescopic rod can be received in the fixed rod. This substantially reduces the space occupied.
- Thus, the present invention not only is simple in structure, reliable in operation, occupies less space and can randomly change the number of sections of the telescopic rod, but also can rotate and is very convenient to use.

hollow rod 41. The jumping bead device in the first sectionhollow rod 41 has asupport 411, a push rod 412, aspring 413 and a jumping bead 414. Thesupport 411 is secured in the central hole at the leading end of the first sectionhollow rod 41. The push rod 412 is positioned on thesupport 411 and slidably fits with thesupport 411. Thespring 413 is positioned in the spring hole of thesupport 411. The jumping bead 414 has one end connected with thespring 413, and the other end exposed radially out of thehollow rod 41. Theright part 22 has aninclined surface 23 for the jumping bead 414 to slidably contact, and apositioning hole 24 for embedding the jumping bead 414. An identical jumping bead device is also arranged in a central hole at the leading end of the second sectionhollow rod 42. The jumping bead device has asupport 421, apush rod 422, aspring 423 and a jumpingbead 424. The jumpingbead 424 is positioned in the positioning hole (not shown inFigs. 1-5 ) on the inner wall of the central hole at the leading end of the first sectionhollow rod 41. The second sectionhollow rod 42 has ahandle 44 at the trailing end. - In use, the fixed
rod 1 and fixed base are secured at the bottom of the case or bag. - When in use, the telescopic rod needs to be stretched out. The second section
hollow rod 42 will be pulled backwards. The push rod 412 of the jumping bead device will back out under the action of thespring 413. At the same time, thespring 413 will pop out the jumping bead 414. The exposed jumping bead 414 is in contact with theinclined surface 23 of the fixed base, to rotate the telescopic rod upwards. The telescopic rod will rotate with therotary shaft 3. During rotation, the jumping bead 414 slides on theinclined surface 23 of the fixed base. When the telescopic rod rotates a certain angle, the jumping bead 414 will embed into thepositioning hole 24, to position the telescopic rod. Only by setting the location of the positioning hole as desired, the rotational angle of the telescopic rod can be controlled and adjustment of the position of the case or bag can be realized (e.g., to have the case or bag in horizontal position). - When not in use, the telescopic rod needs to be drawn back. The second section
hollow rod 42 will be pushed forwards. The bottom surface of the support of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the second sectionhollow rod 42 will press the push rod 412 of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first sectionhollow rod 41, to make the push rod 412 move forward, to force thespring 413 of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first sectionhollow rod 41 to be tightened, so that the jumping bead 414 of the jumping bead device at the leading end of the first sectionhollow rod 41 will be retracted and not exposed. This allows the jumping bead to leave the positioning hole, and the telescopic rod can downwardly turn around. When the telescopic rod rotates to the initial state (i.e., the telescopic rod is coaxial with the fixed rod 1), the telescopic rod can be received in the fixedrod 1. This substantially reduces the space to be occupied.
