Definitions
- the present invention relates to a high chair, in particular a high chair for toddlers or babies, with a foot part and a seat element, which is pivotably mounted relative to the foot part about a horizontal transverse axis in its inclination and which is lockable by means of a Ne Trentsarret ist in the tilt position, wherein the tilt adjustment mechanism of the seat member comprises at least one telescoping support arm extending from the seat member and at least one frame member pivotally connected to said support arm which in turn is connected to at least one hinge unit through which the transverse axis extends about which the seat member is pivoted.
- a high chair of the aforementioned type is for example in the US Pat. No. 7,905,549 B2 described.
- pivoting of the seat member from an approximately 50 to 60 ° inclined position, which corresponds to a sitting position of the toddler or baby, initially only possible in an approximately 30 to 40 ° inclined position of the seat element.
- the tilt adjustment mechanism has reached an end position in that the telescopic support arm is then fully retracted.
- the associated with this frame member is in this preliminary end position as well as in the steeper position in a horizontal position.
- the geometric relationships go out of the FIGS. 16 to 18 of the present application, which schematically represent this prior art in each case in the side view in three different inclination positions. Will one now proceed from the Inclination position according to FIG.
- FIG. 18 pivot the seat element further into an approximately horizontal position according to FIG. 18 , This is due to the rigid connection between the parallel to the table horizontally extending frame member and the hinge area only possible if you disassemble not only the table, but also the frame member and the telescopic support arm from the seat element. Only then can you continue to swing the seat element. This is off FIG. 18 seen.
- This dismantling process creates an unpleasant sound that may cause a baby in the highchair, who has fallen asleep, to wake up.
- This is disadvantageous, in particular, since the tilting into the approximately horizontal position is carried out in particular when the baby has fallen asleep, since it then makes sense to bring the baby into a lying position by tilting the seat element.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a high chair of the type mentioned, in which the pivoting of the seat element in a larger angular range is possible without noise so noise is connected.
- the frame member is pivotally connected to the at least one hinge unit and that a pivoting of the seat member is possible to an approximately horizontal inclination position without the frame member must be separated from the hinge unit.
- the pivoting range of the seat element is not limited by an end position of the telescopic support arm, in which it is fully retracted. Rather, it is possible by the articulated connection between the frame member and hinge unit to continue to pivot in the end position by the frame member is pivoted relative to the hinge unit. Frame member and connected to this at the other end telescopic support arm no longer need to be dismantled in the joint area. As a result, unpleasant noises are avoided and the seat element can be completely set up Position of the seat to be pivoted virtually without interruption in an approximately horizontal position in which the baby sleeps comfortably.
- the object according to the invention is preferably achieved structurally in that a strut element is pivotably connected at one of its ends to the frame component via a hinge, this strut element being connected at its other end to a hinge unit. It is thus quasi this strut element between the frame member and hinge unit inserted and due to the pivoting so a pivotal connection between the frame member and hinge unit is created instead of a rigid connection in the prior art.
- Said strut element can for example be inserted into a receptacle of the joint unit and releasably fixable there, so that an articulated in functional condition connection of the frame member on the strut element to the hinge unit is created, at the same time a disassembly of the frame member is given to the hinge unit.
- the latter is not necessary for the pivoting process, so that the dismantling of the frame member is usually made only when no baby is in the seat member.
- This also has a safety advantage, because if, in the solution known from the prior art, the frame component is removed, even though a child is in the seat element, additional measures are necessary to prevent the baby from falling out of the seat.
- a particularly preferred development of the invention provides that the frame member in a pivotal position in which the seat element occupies an approximately horizontal inclination position, seen in the side view is at an acute angle to the horizontal and frame member and strut thereby take a kinked position in the manner of a toggle lever.
- the pivoting process it may be the case, for example, that initially only the telescopic support arm shortens, while the frame member assumes an approximately horizontal position.
- the further pivoting of the seat element then takes place in that the frame component is opposite pivots the strut element with which it is hinged.
- the relative angular position between the frame member and telescopic support arm thus does not change in the further pivoting, but the relative angular position between the frame member and hinge unit.
- the overall larger pivoting of the seat member is thus achieved by a combination of two joints, once between telescopic support arm and frame member and once between the frame member and strut element.
- the frame member is an approximately U-shaped bracket, which is connected at its two ends in each case articulated to a strut element, which is releasably connectable to a hinge unit.
- a strut element which is releasably connectable to a hinge unit.
- the telescopic support arm can engage, for example, on the U-shaped frame component on its side facing away from the hinge units approximately in the middle.
- the strut element can be pulled out after releasing a locking button from its receptacle in the hinge unit.
- An unintentional release of the connection or even a release by the baby itself should of course be prevented.
- the said locking button may be a displaceably mounted against the force of a spring approximately transversely to the removal direction of the strut member and the release of the locking button can be done via an attached to the hinge unit, pressed in the axial direction of the hinge unit, operating button.
- a radially movable to the axis of the joint unit and transversely to the direction of movement of the strut element thrust element may be provided as a further backup, which prevents depression of the actuating button.
- such a pushing element blocks in a first push position an approximately axially extending push-button attached to the actuating button and thereby prevents depression of the actuating button, while the push element releases the actuating button in a second push position.
- the operation knob is thus blocked, so that the child in the high chair is not able to make even unlocking the strut element.
- it only requires a displacement of the thrust element and only then can the actuating button pressed and thus the locking button be unlocked. It has been shown that this system is very safe because a baby or toddler is unable to perform this combined sequence of movements.
- the frame member is preferably an approximately U-shaped bow-shaped member
- the strut member is preferably a spigot or an end portion or a strut which is hingedly connected at both ends to the frame member
- the joint area preferably comprises a joint sleeve which receives various previously described component of the hinge portion and the telescopic support arm engages approximately in the middle of the U-shaped bow-shaped frame member, at both ends of which are each the pivotally mounted strut elements, which in turn are releasably inserted into joint sleeves of the hinge units.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 Reference is made, showing a high chair according to the invention once in a perspective view and once in exploded view.
- This high chair comprises a foot part 1 1, a seat element 10 with a seat shell 13, a support device 20 and a table top 30.
- the seat shell 13 is height adjustable and releasably secured to a support column 12 which extends from the foot part 11 upwards.
- a footrest 131 is mounted so that a recorded in the seat bowl baby or toddler can support there with his feet.
- the support device 20 is connected to the seat member 10, wherein two hinge units 20 A are provided (see Figures 2 and 3 ), in which the two ends of a connecting bracket 20 B are releasably inserted, wherein approximately in the middle of the U-shaped connecting bracket 20 B from this down towards a support arm 20 C extends.
- This support arm 20 C is telescopically extendable and can extend or shorten, when the seat 13 is adjusted in its inclined position relative to the foot part 11, as later with reference to the FIGS. 12 to 14 is explained in more detail.
- the hinge units 20 A include each articulated sleeves 21, abutment discs 23, actuation buttons 22, a spring 24 associated therewith, a thrust element 28 and a spring associated therewith 27.
- the articulated sleeves 21 have in their front region a ring portion with a reduced diameter, whereby a paragraph is formed , They also have a lateral receptacle 211, for a radial insertion of each one of the end portions 261 of the connecting bracket 20 B, wherein the insertion of the connecting bracket perpendicular to the axis passing through the two hinge units 20 A pivot axis about which pivots the seat member in the tilt adjustment.
- the inner side of the joint sleeves 21 is in each case attached outside on one side of the seat shell 13. From the Figures 3 and 4 shows that a joint sleeve 21 in principle has three openings, once an approximately central opening on the outside through which the hinge axis extends, said opening abutment disc 23 and actuator button 22 receives. Secondly, the lateral receptacle 211, which extends transversely to the hinge axis and the end portions 261 of Connecting bracket 20 B receives, and thirdly, an opening or receptacle on the inside, which is radially surrounded by a ring ring annular ring (see FIG. 3 ). The opening on the outside of the joint sleeve communicates with that on the inside of the joint sleeve.
- a receptacle is provided on the underside for a stirrup-like strut, which establishes the connection to the support column 12, on which the seat member 10 rests, wherein one part of this seen from the front about U-shaped bow-shaped strut in FIG. 1 can recognize.
- FIG. 3 shows this bow-shaped strut extends both perpendicular to the lateral receptacle 211 and perpendicular to the hinge axis.
- the abutment disc 23 is secured by fasteners such as screws in your receptacle in the joint sleeve 21 and has a central opening. This takes on a central plug-in extension 221 of the actuating knob 22, which also radially further outside a plurality of axially projecting latching hooks 223 has for its attachment in the joint sleeve.
- the plug-in extension 221 serves as an abutment for the compression spring 24 and it does not extend the same distance everywhere in the axial direction, so that at its free front end where it is shorter, an end face 224 is formed and where it is longer Positioning block 222.
- the compression spring 24 is seated on the plug-in extension 221 and is held between the outer surface of the abutment disc 23 and the inner surface of the actuating knob 22. When pressing the operating knob 22 in the axial direction, the compression spring 24 is compressed, as can be well by comparing the two Figures 10 and 11 can recognize.
- the thrust element 28 is in its longitudinal direction (see arrow in FIG. 6 ), wherein this displacement takes place radially with respect to the hinge axis and the axis of the actuating knob 22 with its plug extension 221.
- the pusher 28 is an elongated, perpendicular to the direction partially relatively flat component with an approximately T-shaped outline, which has a slightly wider head and a slightly narrower and flatter pus extension.
- the thrust element 28 has various recesses, of which the recess 281 has an irregular hexagon outline with a re-entrant corner (see FIG FIGS. 4 and 6 ), whereby a projection 282 is formed with locking function (in the FIGS.
- the recess 281 due to its irregular contour shape, has a narrower upper positioning region 2812 and a wider lower through region 2811, dimensioned so that the plug-in extension 221 can be pushed through with its complete outline, whereas in the narrower positioning region 2812 of the projection 282 is not possible.
- the positioning area is only so wide that only the narrower positioning block, ie the narrower extension at the front end of the plug-in extension 221, fits in there (see FIG FIG. 5 .)
- the end-face end surface 224 which results where the plug-in extension 221 is shorter, is in the position according to FIG. 5 at the projection 282, so virtually engages the projection, while the positioning block 222 then extends through the positioning portion 2812 of the recess 281 therethrough.
- FIG. 7 shows an enlarged partial section in the end region of the connecting bracket 20 B of FIG. 2 .
- This connecting bracket 20 B has seen in plan view approximately a U-shape and includes a U-frame 25 and two connected to this insertion ends 26, wherein these insertion ends are located at end portions 261 of the connecting bracket, which hingedly connected to the U-frame 25 are.
- the lateral shots 211 of in Figures 3 and 4 shown joint sleeves 21 which extend transversely to the hinge axis take on the end portions 261 of the connecting bracket 20 B.
- the FIGS. 7 and 8th show the exact structural design of these end areas.
- FIG. 9 shows how a plug-in area is inserted into the receptacle 211 of a joint sleeve.
- the end portion 261 has a lock button 262 which is movable against the force of a spring 263. At the insertion end projecting in the insertion direction eject button 265 is arranged, which is also loaded by the force of a spring 264.
- the end portion 261 has a cross-section approximately in a crescent shape, so that one side surface is flattened and the other side surface is more rounded.
- At the end, which faces the U-frame 25, are located below and above each inclined surfaces 2611 through which arise recesses that allow pivoting of the spigot ends 26 and the necessary Create a degree of freedom, so that the insertion ends 26 are pivotable relative to the U-frame about a joint axis connecting both.
- the movable lock button 262 projects partially outward from the end portion 261 and has an inclined guide surface 2621 (see FIG FIG. 9 .)
- the inner end of the lock button 262 is fixed to the end portion 261.
- the projecting outer end protrudes into a central opening in the joint sleeve 21, as can be seen in FIG FIG. 10 can recognize quite well, in which position the projection 282 of the pusher member 28 abuts the outside of the lock button 262 and the pusher between the locking button and the plug extension 221 of the operating knob 22 is located.
- the inclined guide surface 2621 on the locking knob 262 facilitates the insertion of the end portion 261 into the lateral receptacle 211 of the joint sleeve 21, which in FIG. 9 is shown.
- the ejection button 265 is movably supported in the end portion 261 at its front end against the force of the spring 264, and this is movably mounted in the direction of an axis which extends in the direction of insertion of the end portion 261 and thus perpendicular to the direction of movement of the locking knob 262, the eject button 265 in the extended state of the end portion (see FIGS. 7 and 9 ) protrudes at the front end of the end portion 261.
- the spring 264 urges the inward end of the eject button 265 and is fixed at the other end in the end portion 261 on an abutment surface (see FIG. 10 ).
- the spring 263 of the lock button, the spring 264 of the eject button and the spring 27 of the pusher 28 may be made of a plastic material, in particular of an elastomeric material, for example.
- the U-frame 25 is pivotally connected to the insertion ends 26 (see FIG. 7 ) so that the U-frame can pivot relative to these spigot ends.
- the two hinged ends of the U-frame 15 are pivotally connected to the respective ends of the end portions 261, wherein the creation of the necessary degree of freedom in the pivoting movement and the ends of the U-frame 25 each have inclined surfaces 251 (see FIG. 7 .) These are opposite to the previously described inclined surfaces 2611 at the end portions 261.
- the support arm 20 C (see Figures 2 and 12 ) is telescoping and hingedly connected at its upper end to the U-frame 25 of the connecting bracket 20 B approximately in the middle. At its lower end, the support arm 20 C is connected to the seat shell 13, approximately in the lower region in the middle.
- the table 30 is detachably attached to the U-frame 25 of the connecting bracket 20 B.
- pushing element 28 is in the extended position of the pusher, which in FIG. 5 is shown acted upon at its front end by the spring 27.
- the pulled-out position of the push element 28 according to FIG. 5 is a locking position, since the projection 282 prevents inward sliding of the transversely to the thrust member 28 movable operating knob 22 with its positioning block 222, because the projection protrudes in the displacement path.
- FIG. 10 is also shown the locking position and one can see how the protrusion 282 shown in section between the locking knob 262 and the shorter end of the plug-in extension 221 is located so that it is not possible to push the operating knob 22 inwardly. Now, when the pusher 28 is pushed inwards and upwards in the in FIG.
- FIG. 11 shows the in FIG. 6 shown position of the push element 28th
- FIG. 12 shows a nearly upright position of the seat 13. From this starting the lower end of the seat can be raised, the telescoping support arm 20 C is pushed together and this support arm pivots about a lower hinge axis, while the U-frame 25 initially still a horizontal position maintains until the support arm 20 C has taken its shortest position.
- This position is in FIG. 13 shown and as you can see it is a tilted position with a lower inclination of the seat than in FIG. 12 but still around a tilted position of the seat. According to the invention, it is now starting from this position FIG. 13 possible to pivot the seat 13 even further in an approximately horizontal position as in FIG.
- FIG. 14 shows one again enlarged view in the region of the joint sleeve, from which one can recognize the articulated connection between the U-frame 25 and end portion of the connecting bracket 261.
- FIGS. 16 to 18 show the previously known from the prior art solution. There it is different than in the present invention, because the seat can initially only to a maximum in the position according to FIG. 17 be panned. Since the connection of the frame structure to the seat shell is rigid, then frame strut and support arm must be dismantled, which is associated with noise. Only then is a pivoting of the seat in a horizontal position possible, as in FIG. 18 is shown.

Description
The present invention relates to a high chair, in particular a high chair for toddlers or babies, with a foot part and a seat element, which is pivotably mounted relative to the foot part about a horizontal transverse axis in its inclination and which is lockable by means of a Neigungsarretierung in the tilt position, wherein the tilt adjustment mechanism of the seat member comprises at least one telescoping support arm extending from the seat member and at least one frame member pivotally connected to said support arm which in turn is connected to at least one hinge unit through which the transverse axis extends about which the seat member is pivoted.
The object of the present invention is to provide a high chair of the type mentioned, in which the pivoting of the seat element in a larger angular range is possible without noise so noise is connected.
The solution to this problem provides a high chair of the type mentioned above with the characterizing features of the main claim. According to the invention it is provided that the frame member is pivotally connected to the at least one hinge unit and that a pivoting of the seat member is possible to an approximately horizontal inclination position without the frame member must be separated from the hinge unit. Due to the solution according to the invention, the pivoting range of the seat element is not limited by an end position of the telescopic support arm, in which it is fully retracted.
The object according to the invention is preferably achieved structurally in that a strut element is pivotably connected at one of its ends to the frame component via a hinge, this strut element being connected at its other end to a hinge unit. It is thus quasi this strut element between the frame member and hinge unit inserted and due to the pivoting so a pivotal connection between the frame member and hinge unit is created instead of a rigid connection in the prior art.
Said strut element can for example be inserted into a receptacle of the joint unit and releasably fixable there, so that an articulated in functional condition connection of the frame member on the strut element to the hinge unit is created, at the same time a disassembly of the frame member is given to the hinge unit. However, the latter is not necessary for the pivoting process, so that the dismantling of the frame member is usually made only when no baby is in the seat member. This also has a safety advantage, because if, in the solution known from the prior art, the frame component is removed, even though a child is in the seat element, additional measures are necessary to prevent the baby from falling out of the seat.
A particularly preferred development of the invention provides that the frame member in a pivotal position in which the seat element occupies an approximately horizontal inclination position, seen in the side view is at an acute angle to the horizontal and frame member and strut thereby take a kinked position in the manner of a toggle lever. At the beginning of the pivoting process, it may be the case, for example, that initially only the telescopic support arm shortens, while the frame member assumes an approximately horizontal position. After reaching the end position of the support arm, the further pivoting of the seat element then takes place in that the frame component is opposite pivots the strut element with which it is hinged. The relative angular position between the frame member and telescopic support arm thus does not change in the further pivoting, but the relative angular position between the frame member and hinge unit. The overall larger pivoting of the seat member is thus achieved by a combination of two joints, once between telescopic support arm and frame member and once between the frame member and strut element.
In a preferred embodiment of the inventive concept, it is for example such that the frame member is an approximately U-shaped bracket, which is connected at its two ends in each case articulated to a strut element, which is releasably connectable to a hinge unit. So there are two strut element respectively at the ends of the U-shaped bow-shaped frame member available, which correspond respectively to the hinge units on both sides of the seat member. With such a construction, the telescopic support arm can engage, for example, on the U-shaped frame component on its side facing away from the hinge units approximately in the middle.
For example, to create a secure yet releasable connection between the said strut elements and the hinge units, for example, the strut element can be pulled out after releasing a locking button from its receptacle in the hinge unit. An unintentional release of the connection or even a release by the baby itself should of course be prevented.
For example, the said locking button may be a displaceably mounted against the force of a spring approximately transversely to the removal direction of the strut member and the release of the locking button can be done via an attached to the hinge unit, pressed in the axial direction of the hinge unit, operating button.
If you want to make the detachable connection between the strut element and joint unit even safer, you can, for example, provide another backup, the one prevents accidental release of the lock button by preventing the depression of the locking button provided for the locking. For such a further assurance, for example, a radially movable to the axis of the joint unit and transversely to the direction of movement of the strut element thrust element may be provided as a further backup, which prevents depression of the actuating button.
Preferably, such a pushing element blocks in a first push position an approximately axially extending push-button attached to the actuating button and thereby prevents depression of the actuating button, while the push element releases the actuating button in a second push position. By this solution, the operation knob is thus blocked, so that the child in the high chair is not able to make even unlocking the strut element. For this purpose, it only requires a displacement of the thrust element and only then can the actuating button pressed and thus the locking button be unlocked. It has been shown that this system is very safe because a baby or toddler is unable to perform this combined sequence of movements.
For example, one can achieve the blocking function of the pusher when the pusher has a recess which is irregular in shape and has a projection against which the front end of the pus extension abuts in the first push position, the recess further having a passage region through which in the second thrust position of the thrust element of the plug-in extension of the actuating knob is pushed past.
In the context of a possible concrete constructive solution variant of the highchair according to the invention, the frame member is preferably an approximately U-shaped bow-shaped member, the strut member is preferably a spigot or an end portion or a strut which is hingedly connected at both ends to the frame member, the joint area preferably comprises a joint sleeve which receives various previously described component of the hinge portion and the telescopic support arm engages approximately in the middle of the U-shaped bow-shaped frame member, at both ends of which are each the pivotally mounted strut elements, which in turn are releasably inserted into joint sleeves of the hinge units.
The features described in the dependent claims relate to preferred developments of the task solution according to the invention. Further advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description.
