Description

The invention relates to a protective element for connecting iron in reinforced concrete parts and the like according to claim 1.

Connecting iron, for example, rebar, which protrude beyond the working joint in case of work interruptions to ensure the connection of the following concrete part. In general, therefore, one means the protruding parts of reinforcing bars made of reinforced concrete parts in structures that are executed piece by piece. Connection iron is often arranged in rows and often presents a considerable risk of injury. The invention relates in particular to a protective element which is accessible via individual or a number of connecting rods or a number of pointed or sharp-edged elements which in some way, for example horizontally or vertically, are überstülpbar, whereby the risk of injury is reduced.

Statutory regulations, such as the Swiss Construction Workers Ordinance, BauAV (SR 832.311.141, Art. 8f), write u.a. that sharp-edged or pointed objects are to be covered. Projecting reinforcing bars must be formed with hooks. If this is not possible, the risk of injury must be excluded by suitable covers.

Known solutions for covering of protruding reinforcing bars are, for example, protective caps made of plastic, which are individually attachable to the protruding ends of the reinforcing bars. Most such caps are held in striking signal colors, so they are also seen. A disadvantage of such caps, however, is that they must be placed individually and that also because of the large number of the diameter of reinforcing bars and different cap sizes must be kept in stock.

Another known solution is in the WO84 / 03348 disclosed. The document shows a generic protective element for connecting iron, which consists of an elongated plastic part with a substantially omega-shaped cross-section. The protective element consists of a flexible material and can be attached via a series of connecting rods. Because of the flexurally elastic construction, this protective element can be attached via connecting rods of different diameters. In appearance, the attached protective element then resembles, for example, the handrail of a railing, which also represents an additional safety gain compared to individual protective caps by the load distribution over a larger area. Disadvantageous in the subject of WO84 / 03348 is, however, that the plugging or placing on the connection iron is difficult, because it requires two-handed manipulation.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an improved protective element for connecting iron in reinforced concrete parts or similar pointed or sharp-edged components, which is easily aufstülpbar.

This object is solved by the features of patent claim 1. The solution is that in a pocket-like molded part of a generic protection part, which has an approximately U-shaped or teardrop-shaped cross-sectional profile with a first and a second leg, the first leg projects beyond the second leg by a distance and in which also the second leg a Has grip groove. In this case, the first leg can serve as a stop leg.

Due to the shape that the first leg projects beyond the second leg by a distance, it is achieved that this part of the protective element can be applied or struck virtually simultaneously to a row of connecting iron even before the ends of the connecting iron are inserted into the pocket-like formation. By means of the handle groove, the two legs can then be easily pulled apart, so that then all ends of the connecting iron can be inserted simultaneously and effortlessly in the pocket-like shape. Thus, the placement or slipping of the inventive protective element designed easier and faster than with the known prior art.

Advantageously, the handle channel is dimensioned so that it is easily accessible even with work gloves.

Furthermore, the first leg advantageously has an outer bend, which serves as a placement aid. This facilitates the insertion of the connecting iron into the pocket-like shape because of the guiding action. Of course, the same applies to the second leg, where the outer bending can be combined very well with the shape of the finger trough.

Furthermore, the proposed shape of the protective element is very well suited for the production by means of a continuous casting process. For example, the protective elements according to the invention can already be made up very well in various suitable lengths during production. These partial lengths are freely selectable, it may for example be part lengths of about 1 m. For longer rows of terminal iron, a number of the protection elements are simply strung together.

Preferably, the inventive protective elements are made of a stable and unbreakable plastic, for example, colored polyethylene (PE). PE has the property that it is still easy to work and cut to length, for example by cutting, even at the place of use. By means of the coloring so the attention is drawn and so the risk of accidents can be further reduced.

Dabei zeigt

Fig. 1
ein Querschnittsprofil eines erfindungsgemässen Schutzelements,

An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to figures. It shows
Fig. 1
a cross-sectional profile of a protective element according to the invention,
Fig. 2
a side view of the protective element according to Fig. 1 , and
Fig. 3
a schematic view of how the protective element is placed on a series of connecting iron.

The Figures 1 and 2 show a cross-sectional profile of a protective element according to the invention and a side view of the protective element according to Fig. 1 from the direction A. The protective element consists of a molded part 1, which has an approximately U-shaped or teardrop-shaped cross-sectional profile, as that of the Fig. 1 is apparent. The cross-sectional profile has a first leg 2, which projects beyond a second leg 3 by a distance. The molded part 1 thus has a pocket-like shape 4 for receiving ends of the connecting iron. Furthermore, the molded part 1 has an integrally formed on the second leg 3 Griffrinne 5. The molded part 1 consists of a flexurally elastic or resilient material, such as polyethylene (PE). Of course, another suitable material can be used. The two legs 2, 3 are so springy apart. The pocket-like shape 4 will close as far as possible due to the elastic restoring forces.

The molded part 1 has at the end of the first leg 2 an outer bend 6, which facilitates the insertion of the connecting iron into the pocket-like formation 4 as a result of the guiding action. The molded part 1 has at the end of the second leg 3, a further Außenumbiegung, but here is formed as the mentioned gripping trough 5 or combined with it and of course also facilitates the insertion of the connecting iron in the pocket-like shape 4 because of the guiding action.

The Fig. 3 finally shows a schematic view of how the inventive protective element is placed on a series of connecting iron 7. The connecting rods 7 are, as mentioned above, usually in a row behind or next to each other (here, of course, only one is visible). The molded part 1 is thereby initially applied, or struck, before the introduction of the ends of the connecting iron 7 into the pocket-like formation 4, with the inside of the first leg 2 against the row of connecting iron 7. In many cases (with good alignment of the connection iron) this can be done practically simultaneously. The first leg 2 thus serves as a stop leg. Of course, such a striking is only possible if the first leg 2 projects beyond the second leg 3 by a distance. Then, by means of the gripping trough 5, the two legs 2, 3 are easily pulled apart, so that subsequently all the ends of the connecting bars 7 can be inserted into the pocket-like formation 4 simultaneously and effortlessly. The Fig. 3 So shows the situation in which the two legs 2.3 are still pulled apart, but the connecting iron 7 are already introduced. The spring action of the molded part 1 finally holds the protective element securely in its position.

Thus, the placement of the inventive protective element designed easier and faster than with the known prior art.
