Abstract
The cooking device (F) of the present invention comprises at least one top surface (F1), at least one top lid (1) which closes on and opens from the top surface (F1); and at least one protection apparatus (2), mounted to at least one hole (1a) on the top surface (F1) or on the lid (1) and mounted to the hole (1a) in line with its own longitudinal axis (Y); the apparatus (2) comprising at least one resilient bottom component (2a) comprising at least one snap (2b) thereon, extending vertically to the longitudinal axis (X), and at least one slot (2c) therein extending in line with the longitudinal axis (Y), and at least one top component (2d) mounted to the said slot (2c). The cooking device (F) of the present invention develops a protection apparatus (2) which is snap fittingly engaged to the hole (1a) and does not disengage in due course, and therefore protects against the impact effects to be created by closure of the lid (1).
Description
- The present invention relates to cooking devices comprising a top lid.
- The cooking devices of the prior art are provided with a top lid to cover the burners which are on the device, when the device is not in use. Said lid both prevents a contact to the burner and creates a decorative view. The top lid, which is preferably made of transparent material, is mounted to the device from one side by at least one swivel joint. Thus, the lid may be opened and closed by pivoting around the said side.
- At least one resilient protection apparatus may be mounted to the lid to prevent the glass lid from being damaged by hitting hard while closing. The apparatus prevents the lid from being damaged by dampening the impact effect. However, the protection apparatus, which are fixed to the lid by a snap fit or adhesive bonding, may disengage from the lid and lose functionality in due course.
- In the patent document No
CN1895061A , which discloses one of the known cooking devices of prior art, cooking device comprises at least one protection apparatus which is fixed to the lid by a screw. Although, said embodiment partially ensures that the apparatus is secured in its place, it is possible that the screw disengages in due time and therefore, the apparatus may disengage. - The patent document No
JP2007/285546 - The cooking device of the present invention comprises at least one top surface, at least one top lid which closes on and opens from the top surface; and at least one protection apparatus, mounted to at least one hole on the top surface or on the lid and mounted to the hole in line with its own longitudinal axis; the apparatus comprising at least one resilient bottom component comprising at least one snap thereon, extending vertically to the longitudinal axis, and at least one slot therein extending in line with the longitudinal axis, and at least one top component mounted to the said slot.
- The cooking device of the present invention develops a protection apparatus which is snap fit to the hole and does not disengage in due course, and therefore protects against the impact effects to be created by closure of the lid.
- The aim of the present invention is to develop a cooking device comprising a top lid and a protection apparatus for the top lid.
- The other aim of the present invention is to develop a cooking device comprising a protection apparatus which protects the lid against hits to be occurred while being closed.
- Another aim of the present invention is to develop a cooking device comprising a protection apparatus which maintains its position on the lid for a long time.

- A side view of the cooking device (F) of the present invention is illustrated in
Figure 1 . The cooking device (F) of the invention comprises at least one top surface (F1), at least one top lid (1) which closes on and opens from the top surface (F1); and at least one protection apparatus (2) provided to the top lid (1) or to the top surface (F1). - Detailed view of the protection apparatus (2) which is comprised by the cooking device (F) of the present invention is illustrated in
Figure 2 . The apparatus (2) is mounted to at least one hole (1a) provided to the top lid (1) in the said exemplary embodiment. The apparatus (2) comprises at least one resilient bottom component (2a) mounted to the hole (1 a). On the bottom component (2a) is located at least one snap (2b), extending in a different line (X line) from the longitudinal axis of the component (2a), which ensures snap fitting of the bottom component (2a) to the hole (1a) and prevents its disengagement therefrom. The bottom component (2a) comprises at least one slot (2c) therein which extends in line with the longitudinal axis (Y line) of the component (2a). - Apparatus (2) comprises at least one top component (2d) snap fittingly engaged to the said slot (2c). When the top component (2d) is mounted to the slot (2c), this enables clamping of the bottom component (2d) in the hole (1a) and does not allow its disengagement from the hole (1a). Preferably the top component (2d) comprises at least one protrusion (2e) which, by contacting around the slot (2c) and/or the hole (1a) of the top component (2d), prevents the whole top component (2d) from being inserted into the slot (2c) and extends in different line (e.g. X line) from the longitudinal axis of the component (2d). Protrusion (2e) prevents the whole top component (2d) from being fixed into the slot (2c), and therefore it enables the formation of a holding section in order to disengage the top component (2d).
- In an embodiment of the invention, at least one thread (not illustrated) is located on a literal face (2f) of the top component (2d). Said thread may be in circular or helical form. Thread enables the top component (2d) to snap fit into the slot (2c).
- Bottom component (2a) is inserted to the hole (1a) on the lid (1) in order to mount the apparatus (2) of the invention to the lid. Then, top component (2d) is mounted to the slot (2c) which is on the bottom component (2a), and thus, the bottom component (2c) is clamped into the hole (1 a). Therefore, it is ensured that the protection apparatus (2) remains on the lid as long as the top component (2d) is not disengaged.
- The protection apparatus (2), used in the cooking device (F) of the invention, is tightly fixed to the lid (1), and therefore the lid (1) is prevented against the damages to be inflicted in case of hitting to the device (F).
Claims (3)
- A cooking device (F) comprising at least one top surface (F1); a top lid (1) opening from and closing on the top surface (F1) and at least one protection apparatus provided to the top surface (F1) or to the lid (1) characterized in that the said protection apparatus (2) comprises;- at least one resilient bottom component (2a) which is mounted to at least one hole (1a) on the top surface (F1) or on the lid in line with its own longitudinal axis (Y) and which comprises at least one snap (2b) thereon, extending in different line from the longitudinal axis (X), and at least one slot (2c) therein extending in line with the longitudinal axis (Y), and- at least one top component (2d) which is engaged to the said slot (2c).
- A cooking device (F) according to the Claim 1 characterized in that the top component (2d) comprises at least one protrusion (2e) which extends in a different line from the longitudinal axis of the top component (2d).
- A cooking device (F) according to the Claim 1 characterized in that the top component (2d) comprises at least one thread which is located on a lateral face (2f) thereof.
