- the tilted angle of the first portion is relatively smallest
- the tilted angel of the second portion is smaller than the tilted angle of the third portion and is larger than the first tilted angle (a ⁇ b ⁇ c).
- the tilted angle of the second grill part 113 has been gradually increased based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102 as a distance is increased from the central part 111 based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102.
- the portion nearer to the central part 111 on the second grill part 113 is positioned in a vertical direction with respect to an eye line and is positioned nearer to a horizontal direction with respect to an eye line as going to the outside. - the second grill part 113 of the discharge grill 11 is formed to be the same as the shape of the trailing edge 109 of the fan 102, the flow resistance occurring while the air, which forcibly flows by the fan 102, passes through the discharge grill 11 can be minimized.
- the second grill part 113 is positioned to be tilted based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102, the air, which forcibly flows by the fan 102, can minimize the flow resistance occurring while passing through the discharge grill 11. The reason is that the second grill part 113 of the discharge grill 11 is positioned in a parallel direction with the flow direction of the air passing through the discharge grill 11.
- the air passing through the discharge grill flows in a direction that forms a relatively small angle based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102 at a point approaching the central part 111 and flows in a direction that forms a relatively large angle based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102 at a point approaching the edge part 112.
- the discharge grill 11 of the outdoor unit 1 forms a relatively small tilted angle based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102 at a point approaching the central part 111 and forms a relatively large tilted angle based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102 at a point approaching the edge part 112. Therefore, the discharge grill 11 may be positioned in a parallel direction with the flow direction of air passing through the discharge grill 11. Therefore, the air, which forcibly flows by the fan 102, can minimize the flow resistance occurring while passing through the discharge grill 11.
- the air which passes through a point adjacent to the central part 111, flows in a direction that forms a relatively smallest angle to the rotating orbit of the fan 102.
- the discharge grill 11 of the outdoor unit 1 since the ends of the second grill part 113 adjacent to the central part 111 are connected in a state that forms a relatively smallest angle based on the rotating orbit of the fan 102, the flow resistance of air passing through the discharge grill 11 can be more minimized.
- the flow resistance of air discharged through the discharge grill 11 is minimized, the flow of air passing through the outdoor heat exchanger 101 can be more smoothed. In other words, since the air volume passing through the outdoor heat exchanger 101 can be increased, the heat exchange performance of the outdoor heat exchanger 101 can be more improved.

second grill part 113 with respect to the rotating orbit of thefan 102 has been gradually changed according to the distance from thecentral part 111. In more detail, a cross section of three portions of thegrill part 113 is the same as one shown inFIGS. 4 to 6 At this time, a cross section of the first portion nearest to thecentral part 111 among three portions is the same as one shown inFIG. 4 , a cross section of the second portion secondly nearest thereto is the same as one shown inFIG. 5 , and a cross section of the third portion farthest therefrom is the same as one shown inFIG. 6 . - When being viewed from the cross section of the second grill part, if the rotating orbit of the
fan 102 is H, a tilted angle of the first portion with respect to the rotating orbit of thefan 102 may be defined as a, a tilted angle of the second portion, a tilted angle with respect to the rotating orbit of thefan 102 may be defined as b, and in the third portion, and a tilted angle of the third portion with respect to the rotating orbit of thefan 102 may be defined as c. - At this time, the tilted angle of the first portion is smaller than the tilted angle of the second portion (a < b) and the titled angle of the second portion is smaller than the tilted angle of the third portion (b < c). To the contrary, the tilted angle of the third portion is relatively largest than the tilted angle, the tilted angle of the first portion is relatively smallest, the tilted angel of the second portion is smaller than the tilted angle of the third portion and is larger than the first tilted angle (a < b < c).
- Therefore, the tilted angle of the
second grill part 113 has been gradually increased based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102 as a distance is increased from thecentral part 111 based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102. When viewing the discharge grill from the front, the portion nearer to thecentral part 111 on thesecond grill part 113 is positioned in a vertical direction with respect to an eye line and is positioned nearer to a horizontal direction with respect to an eye line as going to the outside. Therefore, when viewing thedischarge grill 11 from the front, the portion near to thecentral part 111 on thesecond grill part 113 is relatively widely shown and the portion nearer to the edge of thedischarge grill 111 is relatively narrowly shown. - One portion of the
second grill part 113 adjacent to the edge of thedischarge grill 11 is vertically formed to the rotating orbit of thefan 102. In other words, the end ofsecond grill part 113, which is connected to theedge part 112, is positioned in a vertical state to the rotating orbit of thefan 102. - With the outer unit 1, the flow resistance of air discharged through the
discharge grill 11 can be minimized. In detail, since thesecond grill part 113 of thedischarge grill 11 is formed to be the same as the shape of the trailingedge 109 of thefan 102, the flow resistance occurring while the air, which forcibly flows by thefan 102, passes through thedischarge grill 11 can be minimized. - Since the
second grill part 113 is positioned to be tilted based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102, the air, which forcibly flows by thefan 102, can minimize the flow resistance occurring while passing through thedischarge grill 11. The reason is that thesecond grill part 113 of thedischarge grill 11 is positioned in a parallel direction with the flow direction of the air passing through thedischarge grill 11. - In more detail, the air passing through the discharge grill flows in a direction that forms a relatively small angle based on the rotating orbit of the
fan 102 at a point approaching thecentral part 111 and flows in a direction that forms a relatively large angle based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102 at a point approaching theedge part 112. Thedischarge grill 11 of the outdoor unit 1 according to the present invention forms a relatively small tilted angle based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102 at a point approaching thecentral part 111 and forms a relatively large tilted angle based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102 at a point approaching theedge part 112. Therefore, thedischarge grill 11 may be positioned in a parallel direction with the flow direction of air passing through thedischarge grill 11. Therefore, the air, which forcibly flows by thefan 102, can minimize the flow resistance occurring while passing through thedischarge grill 11. - In particular, the air, which passes through a point adjacent to the
central part 111, flows in a direction that forms a relatively smallest angle to the rotating orbit of thefan 102. In thedischarge grill 11 of the outdoor unit 1 according to the present invention, since the ends of thesecond grill part 113 adjacent to thecentral part 111 are connected in a state that forms a relatively smallest angle based on the rotating orbit of thefan 102, the flow resistance of air passing through thedischarge grill 11 can be more minimized. - When the flow resistance of air discharged through the
discharge grill 11 is minimized, the flow of air passing through theoutdoor heat exchanger 101 can be more smoothed. In other words, since the air volume passing through theoutdoor heat exchanger 101 can be increased, the heat exchange performance of theoutdoor heat exchanger 101 can be more improved. - The invention is defined in the appended claims.
