- As the
Figs. 1~2 show, a lockset includes abase 10 defining abolt opening 12, alatch mechanism 20 movably connected with thebase 10, apulling mechanism 30 rotatably disposed in thebase 10 and alock mechanism 40 arranged in thebolt opening 12. Thepulling mechanism 30 is driven rotating by thelatch mechanism 20, thelock mechanism 40 is driven protruding out from or retracting the bolt opening 12, and thelatch mechanism 20 protrudes out or retracts in thebase 10 along the direction perpendicular to the direction of thelock mechanism 40 protruding or retracting. - The bolt opening 12 is defined in a sidewall of the
base 10. Thebase 10 defining agroove 14 extending inward the sidewall of thebase 10. In the illustrated embodiment, alimiting protrusion 16 is disposed on the sidewall of thebase 10 to limit the move path of thelatch mechanism 20. Along the direction of thelatch mechanism 20 protruding out, openings 18 are defined on opposite sides of thebase 10 for receiving thelatching mechanism 20, thelatching mechanism 20 is capable of sliding in theopenings 18. In a preferred embodiment, thebase 10 defines a U-shaped groove, thelatch mechanism 20 may be capable of sliding in the U-shaped groove. - The
latch mechanism 20 is received in thegroove 14, and includes asliding plate 22 and adriving rod 24 connected to thesliding plate 22. In the illustrated embodiment, thesliding plate 22 contact the bottom of thegroove 14 closely, thedriving rod 24 is arranged along the direction of thelatch mechanism 20 protruding out and retracting. More specifically, twopins 221 are disposed at the edge of thesliding plate 22 and opposite to each other, twoholes 242 corresponding to thepins 221 are defined in thedriving rod 24, and thedriving rod 24 connects with thesliding plate 22 by inserting thepins 221 in theholes 242. Thedriving rod 24 passes through theopenings 18 for the users pushing or pulling. Besides, thesliding plate 22 includes aprotrusion 222 disposed on an end of thepins 221. Theprotrusion 222 contacts thepulling mechanism 30. As for thebase 10 with alimiting protrusion 16, theprotrusion 222 pushed against thelimiting protrusion 16 to limit the move path of thesliding plate 22. The number ofprotrusion 222 may be two, which can be arranged at two ends of the diagonal of thesliding plate 22 to improve the stability of thesliding plate 22. The twoprotrusions 222 can also be arranged at one side of thesliding plate 22. Moreover, a kidney shaped limitinghole 224 is defined on thesliding plate 22, and thesliding plate 22 can be fixed to thebase 10 by passing a bolt through thelimiting hole 224, such that the move path of thesliding plate 22 is limited in the scope of thelimiting hole 224. - The
pulling mechanism 30 includes apulling claw 32 and aspindle 34 for fixing thepulling claw 32 on thebase 10. In the illustrated embodiment, thespindle 34 passes through thepulling claw 32, and thespindle 34 is matched up with ashaft sleeve 36 and arand 38 to be fixed on the two opposite wall of thebase 10, making thepulling claw 32 connected to theprotrusion 222 andlock mechanism 40 respectively. The number of thepulling mechanism 30 may be two. Specifically, thepulling claw 32 includes anpulling arm 322 and alock arm 324 connect to thepulling arm 322, thepulling arm 322 connects with thesliding plate 22 via theprotrusion 222, thelock arm 324 connect with thelock mechanism 40. The tail end of thepulling arm 322 is arrange on theprotrusion 222 to form a poking connection, therefore pushing or pulling thedriving rod 24 will drive the pullingclaw 32 rotating around thespindle 34. Thelock arm 324 may be U-shaped, L-shaped or other shape. Thelock arm 324 is rotated by thepulling arm 322, thus jacks up thelock mechanism 40 and drives thelock mechanism 40 rotating to retract. - The
lock mechanism 40 includes abolt 42, a restoringspring 44 disposed in thebolt 42 and aposition pin 46 inserted in thebolt 42 and restoringspring 44, theposition pin 46 fixes thebolt 42 in the bolt opening 12. In the illustrated embodiment, thebolt 42 is hook shaped for locking with a lock catch. In a preferred embodiment, the surface of thebolt 42 contacting the lock catch is cambered surface for decreasing resistance of unlocking the lock set. One end of thebolt 42 opposite to the free end defines ahouse 422 and a locatinghole 424 interconnected with thehouse 422. The restoringspring 44 is arranged in thehouse 422 and the axis of the restoringspring 44 is aligned with that of the locatinghole 424. Theposition pin 46 passes through the locatinghole 424 and the restoringspring 44 to fix thewhole lock mechanism 40 in thebase 10. Thebolt 42 rotates around theposition pin 46 at thebolt opening 12, making thebolt 42 protruding out or retracting in thebolt opening 12. Thelock mechanism 40 further includes a pullingpin 48. Apin hole 426 corresponding to the pullingpin 48 is defined on thelock mechanism 40 at one side of the locatinghole 424 near the pullingmechanism 30. Thelock arm 324 connects with the pullingpin 48, thus therotating lock arm 324 drives the pullingpin 48, which drives thebolt 42 rotating to protrude out or retract. - The operating process is described below.
- When the lockset is locked, as the
Figs.3-5 show, thebolt 42 protrudes out from thebolt opening 12, the slidingplate 22 locates in the middle of thebase 10. As theFigs.6∼ 8 show, when the slidingplate 22 is pushed or pulled to the right side via the drivingrod 24, theprotrusion 222 on theplate 22 pokes the pullingarm 322, the pullingclaw 32 rotates around thespindle 34, thelock arm 324 jacks up the pullingpin 48, as a result, thebolt 42 retracts in thebase 10. As theFigs 9∼11 show, when the lockset is locked, and the slidingplate 22 is pushed or pulled to the left side via the drivingrod 24, theprotrusion 222 on theplate 22 pokes the pullingarm 322, the pullingclaw 32 rotates around thespindle 34, thelock arm 324 jacks up the pullingpin 48, as a result, thebolt 42 retracts in thebase 10. - The above locksets may be applied to burglar locks with multiple lock points.
- The above locksets can be locked or unlocked by poking the
latch mechanism 20 to drive thelock mechanism 40 to lock or unlock, the structure is simple and transmission is reliable and is easy to install. - The way of unlocking the locksets includes pushing, pulling and double side movement, thus the operating direction is variable, so that the generality is fine, and the locks suit to be installed in various conditions. When the using condition is complicated, the above lockset is easier to install and maintain.
