-
FIGS. 1 to 4 show an adjustable exercise device, by example, in the form of a dumbbell. The adjustable exercise device can also be e.g. a barbell. - The dumbbell or
adjustable exercise device 1 comprises ahandle 10 including ahand grip 11 having twoends 12 and a compartment 14. Twocarriers 20 each include atube 21 attached to theends 12 of thehandle 10 with apin 15, aninner anchor plate 22 having an outer diameter greater than that of thetube 21, and one or more (such as three) notches or cut-offportions 23 for forming a non-circular or triangular cross section. Thecarriers 20 each include a chamber 24 (FIG. 1 ), and one ormore slots 25 located in the cut-offportion 23 and communicative with thechamber 24, thepins 15 are engaged with the anchor plate 22 (FIGS. 3, 6 ) for securing thetubes 21 of thecarriers 20 to thehandle 10. - A
latch 30 includes ashank 31 engaged into thetube 21 and having a bore 32 (FIGS. 1 ,4-5 ) for receiving thehandle 10, and one or more (such as two opposite)grooves 33 for engaging with thepin 15 and for limiting thelatch 30 to rotate relative to thecarrier 20 and thehandle 10. Thelatch 30 includes aknob 34 at one end or outer end of theshank 31 and having an outer diameter greater than that of theshank 31, and having an outer contour similar to that of thetube 21 of the carrier 20 (FIGS. 2-3 ,8 ), and thelatch 30 is rotatable relative to thecarrier 20 and thehandle 10 to an interlock or crisscross position (FIGS. 6-7 , and9 ). - The
