Abstract
Bei der Frequenzkompression von Audiosignalen soll das Auftreten von Artefakten vermindert werden. Dazu wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, bei dem das zu komprimierende Audiosignal in mehreren Frequenzkanälen bereitgestellt und ein Anteil des Audiosignals von einem ersten Frequenzkanal (14') der mehreren Frequenzkanäle in einen zweiten Frequenzkanal (11') der mehreren Frequenzkanäle verschoben wird. Eine dominante Momentanfrequenz (14") wird in dem ersten Frequenzkanal (14') ermittelt. Bei dem Verschieben oder Abbilden wird zunächst der gesamte erste Frequenzkanal (14') einschließlich der dominanten Momentanfrequenz in den zweiten Frequenzkanal (11') verschoben oder abgebildet, wobei die dominante Momentanfrequenz eine Zwischenfrequenzposition (fz) erhält. Eine endgültige Frequenzposition (fd) für die dominante Momentanfrequenz wird durch eine vorgegebene Kompressionskennlinie in dem zweiten Frequenzkanal (11'), ausgehend von der Frequenzposition (fs) der dominanten Momentanfrequenz in dem ersten Frequenzkanal (14'), ermittelt. Schließlich wird die dominante Momentanfrequenz von der Zwischenfrequenzposition (fz) auf die endgültige Frequenzposition (fd) geschoben oder abgebildet.
