Um alle Bauteile eines Dampfgenerators, inklusive Steuerelektronik und Dampferzeuger in einem kompakten Gehäuse unterzubringen, ohne das Gefahr für eine Überhitzung im Gehäuse oder des Gehäuses selbst besteht, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, das das Gehäuse des Dampfgenerators 1 durch eine im Gehäuse 2 angeordnete Trennwand 17 zweigeteilt ist, wobei in einem ersten Gehäuseteil eine Elektrikeinheit 16 angeordnet ist und in einem zweiten Gehäuseteil ein Dampferzeuger 10 angeordnet ist und an der Trennwand 17 eine Kühleinheit 20 angeordnet ist, in der eine Ausnehmung 57 vorgesehen ist, durch die Kühlmedium fließt
