Description
Verfahren und Anlage zur Behandlung von Synthesegas aus der Vergasung Kohlenstoffhaltiger Feststoffe Process and plant for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbonaceous solids
The invention relates to a process and a plant for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbon-containing solids, with the aid of which a carbon-containing synthesis gas for the production of methanol can be prepared.
To produce methanol, it is known to use a synthesis gas that is rich in CO and H 2 . This synthesis gas can be produced by gasification of carbon-containing solids. In the gasification, for example, coal is partially oxidized at a pressure of about 40 bar. In the gasification of coal, however, unwanted sulfur compounds, such as, for example, H 2 S, which must be separated off prior to the preparation of methanol, are produced for the production of methanol. After gasification, a CO conversion is performed to set, for example, an H 2 : CO ratio of about 2: 1. The resulting in the conversion CO 2 is to be separated from the synthesis gas. Due to the pressure of the synthesis gas of about 30 bar, the synthesis gas after gasification or after the CO conversion of a physical gas scrubbing to separate H 2 S and CO 2 using a liquid solvent.
A disadvantage of such a method is that, in particular on a large industrial scale with synthesis gas quantities of several 100,000 m / h, a high expenditure on equipment and high energy input is required. It is the object of the invention to provide a method and a plant for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbon-containing solids, in which the required energy consumption is reduced without increasing the apparatus required.
The object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1 and a system having the features of claim 7. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
In the method according to the invention for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbon-containing solids, provision is made of a synthesis gas obtainable by gasification of carbon-containing solid. The synthesis gas is purified in a gas scrubber. Subsequently, the scrubbed synthesis gas is compressed to an operating pressure for a subsequent synthesis, in particular methanol production, from the synthesis gas. According to the invention, an intermediate compression of the synthesis gas takes place directly before the cleaning in the gas scrubber.
Although the synthesis gas after gasification has a sufficiently high pressure for gas scrubbing, the syngas is additionally compressed before gas scrubbing and brought to an even higher pressure. The synthesis gas has, for example, a pressure of 30 bar ± 3 bar after gasification. The intermediate compression not only compensates for a loss of pressure over the length of the line in order to bring the synthesis gas back to the pressure level after gasification, but can go well beyond the pressure level reached after the gasification. The additional compression of the synthesis gas improves the absorption capacity of a physical solvent used in gas scrubbing, so that the solvent circulation can be significantly reduced. At the same time results in a constant flow rate of the synthesis gas, a lower flow rate, so that the gas scrubbing can be made smaller and less parallel production lines are required. Preferably in Industrial scale in particular with a volume flow of more than 500,000 m / h, it is thereby possible to reduce the number of parallel gas scrubbers connected, thereby reducing the expenditure on equipment. The regeneration of the solvent stream and the separation of the washed out with the solvent stream components of the synthesis gas, such as H 2 S and CO 2 can be made smaller and / or be carried out in a smaller number of devices. The leached CO 2 can be released in gas scrubbing from a higher pressure level. Due to the higher expansion cooling of the separated CO 2 , an additional cooling effect takes place during gas scrubbing. This makes it possible to cool the solvent for gas scrubbing to a much lesser extent with external energy from a cold reservoir. The energy input for the intermediate compression is thus again partially compensated by the saved cooling capacity of the gas scrubbing, so that a lower energy input is required for the inventive method. Due to the smaller dimensioning of the gas scrubbing, the apparatus required for the method according to the invention is not increased despite an additional compressor.

In particular, exactly one compressor drive is used for intermediate compression and compression. The compressor may, for example, comprise two or more compressor stages arranged in close proximity to each other, one stage being used as the main compressor for compression after gas scrubbing and the other stage as additional compressor for intermediate compression, both stages being arranged in a common housing could be. Further, the compressor may have a low pressure stage for intermediate compression and a high pressure stage for compression after gas scrubbing. The compressor thus has a first strand for the intermediate compression and a second strand separated from the first strand for compression after gas scrubbing. By using a common - A -

Compressor makes it possible to perform both the intermediate compression and the compression in a common unit, which is easier to maintain and easier to control. Furthermore, it is possible for the intermediate compression and the compression to use exactly one compressor drive, so that a common larger-sized compressor drive is sufficient to perform an increase in pressure before gas scrubbing and after gas scrubbing. Two separate compressor drives, which would increase the cost, are not required.
Insbesondere weist das Synthesegas nach dem Komprimieren einen Druck PK von 70 bar < PK ≤ 180 bar, vorzugsweise 80 bar < PK ≤ 120 bar und besonders bevorzugtIn particular, the synthesis gas after compression has a pressure P K of 70 bar <P K ≤ 180 bar, preferably 80 bar <P K ≤ 120 bar, and particularly preferably
At such pressure, the subsequent synthesis, in particular a methanol production with a correspondingly high yield can take place.
Vorzugsweise weist das Synthesegas bei der Vergasung des Kohlenstoff-haltigen Feststoffes, beispielsweise Kohle, einen Druck pv auf, für den 10 bar < pv ≤ 50 bar, insbesondereIn the gasification of the carbonaceous solid, for example coal, the synthesis gas preferably has a pressure pv for which 10 bar <pv ≦ 50 bar, in particular
At such pressures as complete as possible gasification of carbon-containing solids can be carried out even at lower temperatures, whereby the energy input is kept low in the gasification.
Preferably, after the intermediate compression, the synthesis gas has a pressure pz for which 40 bar <p z <80 bar, in particular 45 bar <p z <70 bar and preferably 50 bar <pz <65 bar.
In particular, the cleaning in the gas scrubbing takes place with the aid of a physical, in particular liquid, solvent at an average temperature T G , for which -70 C <T G ≦ 10 C, in particular -60 C <T G ≦ -2 C and preferably -55 C <T G <-2 C applies. Further, the average temperature T G may be -25 ° C <T G <-2 ° C, preferably -15 ° C <T G ≤ -5 ° C. The increased by the intermediate compression synthesis gas pressure allows a higher relaxation of CO 2 in the gas scrubber. The resulting additional cooling effect allows the required cooling device to be dimensioned much smaller.
Die Anlage weist eine Gaswäsche zur Reinigung eines durch eine Vergasung von Kohlenstoff- haltigen Feststoffen erhältlichenThe invention further relates to a plant for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbon-containing solids, wherein the plant is particularly suitable for carrying out the method described above. Synthesis gas on. Further, a main compressor is provided for compressing the gas scrubber-cleaned synthesis gas. According to the invention, an additional compressor for the intermediate compression of the synthesis gas is provided directly before the gas scrubbing. The system can in particular be explained and further developed as described above with reference to the method according to the invention. Due to the intermediate compression, a lower volume flow is achieved with the same mass flow, so that in particular the subsequent gas scrubbing can be made smaller, as a result of which the outlay on equipment of the installation is reduced. At the same time, a greater release of the separated CO 2 is achieved in the gas scrubbing, whereby an additional cooling effect is generated in the gas scrubbing, due to which an energy-intensive cooling of a solvent for gas scrubbing can be reduced. This leads to a lower energy input.
In particular, the synthesis gas fed to the additional compressor before gas scrubbing has a pressure pv for which 10 bar <pv ≦ 50 bar, in particular 20 bar <pv ≦ 40 bar and preferably 25 bar <pv ≦ 35 bar. This pressure is about 6 to 10 bar lower than the operating pressure in the gasification of the carbonaceous solid in a gasification unit. Although this pressure is already for a physical gas scrubber with a Solvent would be done by the additional compressor additional intermediate compression.
Vorzugsweise ist ein mehrsträngiger Verdichter vorgesehen, wobei der Verdichter den Zusatzkompressor zur Ausbildung mindestens eines ersten Stranges und denPreferably, a multi-stranded compressor is provided, wherein the compressor, the additional compressor for forming at least a first strand and the
Main compressor for forming at least a second strand has. The main compressor and the additional compressor are thus combined in a common unit, wherein the first strand for the intermediate compression before the gas scrubbing and the second strand for the compression after gas scrubbing are separated. The main compressor and the auxiliary compressor may also be different stages of the compressor. For example, the compressor has a low pressure stage through which the auxiliary compressor is formed, and a high pressure stage through which the main compressor is formed.
Particularly preferably, the main compressor and the additional compressor can be driven by exactly one compressor drive. For example, a common drive shaft is provided for the main compressor and the auxiliary compressor, which is connected to exactly one motor. If due to a malfunction of the main compressor or the auxiliary compressor should fail, automatically falls off the other compressor also. Furthermore, the number of compressor drives is reduced, so that the maintenance is reduced.
After the intermediate compression, the additional compressor particularly preferably provides a pressure pz for which 40 bar <pz ≦ 80 bar, in particular 45 bar <pz ≦ 70 bar and preferably 50 bar <pz ≦ 65 bar, applies.
In particular, the gas scrubbing has a physical, in particular liquid, solvent. Further, a cooling device is provided, which in the gas scrubbing an average Temperature T G regulates for which -70 0 C <T G <10 0 C in particular -60 0 C <T G <-2 ° C and preferably -55 ° C <T G <-2 ° C applies. Due to the additional cooling effect of the relaxation of the CO 2 in the gas scrubbing, the cooling device can be significantly smaller dimensions. In addition, it is possible to introduce the solvent at a correspondingly higher temperature in the gas scrubber and cool down by the expansion cooling to the intended temperature. Thereby, an increase in the required cooling capacity for cooling the solvent can be avoided.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 : Ein schematisches Fließbild einer erfindungsgemäßen Anlage.Fig. 1: A schematic flow diagram of a system according to the invention.
In the plant 10 shown in Fig. 1 for the treatment of synthesis gas from the gasification of carbon-containing solids, an air stream 12, which contains substantially ambient air, separated in an air separation 14 in an oxygen stream 16 and a nitrogen stream 18. The nitrogen stream 18 may also contain other gases, such as CO 2 or noble gases. The oxygen stream 16 is fed to a gasification unit 20, to which a solids stream 22 of carbonaceous solids, such as coal, is supplied. In the gasification unit 20, the carbon-containing solid is gasified, for example, by a partial oxidation with the aid of the supplied oxygen stream 16. The gasification in the gasification unit 20 takes place in particular at an elevated pressure of for example 40 bar.
Ein gereinigterThe synthesis gases 24 generated in the gasification unit 20 leave the gasification unit 20 and, if necessary, a CO conversion 25 is supplied to the Composition of the synthesis gas 24 optimally adjust. For this purpose, for example, a ratio of H 2 ICO of about 2: 1 is set. A synthesis gas 27 leaving the CO conversion 25 is subsequently fed to a gas scrubber 26. With the aid of a solvent stream 28 which is supplied to the gas scrubber 26, sulfur-containing compounds, in particular H 2 S, and the CO 2 formed in the CO conversion 25 can be washed out of the synthesis gas 27. As a result, a solvent stream 30 loaded with sulfur compounds and CO 2 leaves the gas scrubber 26. The laden solvent stream 30 is purified in a purification unit 32, so that a gas stream 34 containing sulfur-containing compounds and a CO 2 stream 35 can be separated from the loaded solvent stream 30. A cleaned one
Solvent stream 36 is circulated and returned to the gas scrubber 26. For this purpose, the purified solvent stream 36 is first supplied to a cooling device 38 in order to set a suitable temperature for the solvent stream 28.
After gas washing with the aid of a physical liquid solvent, a purified synthesis gas 40 exits the gas scrubber 26 and is compressed in a main compressor 42 to an operating pressure for subsequent synthesis. The purified synthesis gas 40 can be further processed in the following synthesis. For example, the purified synthesis gas 40 is supplied to a methanol unit 44 to produce methanol from the purified synthesis gas 40 having a high proportion of carbon monoxide and hydrogen. In the production of methanol in the methanol unit 44 resulting by-products can be removed in a purge stream 46 and in particular further processed. A methanol stream 48 leaving the methanol unit 44 can be further refined in a further step. For example, the methanol stream 48 may be supplied to a fuel unit 50 to produce from the methanol stream 48 a fuel stream 52 that may be used as fuel for automobiles. In the inventive system 10 shown in FIG. 1, an intermediate compression of the synthesis gas 27 takes place directly before the gas scrubbing 26 with the aid of an additional compressor 54. The intermediate compression reduces the volumetric flow rate for the same mass flow, so that the apparatus required for the system 10 can be reduced. In particular, it is possible on a large industrial scale to reduce the number of production lines, in particular for the subsequent production steps. At the same time, during the expansion of the CO 2 separated from the synthesis gas 27 in the gas scrubber 26, a greater expansion cooling occurs, so that the energy input for the cooling unit 38 can be reduced. In the illustrated embodiment, both the main compressor 42 after the gas scrubbing 26 and the additional compressor 54 are combined before the gas scrubbing 26 in a common compressor 56. However, the synthesis gas 27 and the purified synthesis gas 40 are separated from each other in the compressor 56. In particular, it is possible to drive both the main compressor 42 and the additional compressor 54 with exactly one compressor drive 58, for example via a common drive shaft 60.
