Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner with at least one illumination device.

A vacuum cleaner with a lighting device is for example from the EP 1 226 778 A1 known. There, the arrangement of LEDs is described on a suction head.

After vacuuming the vacuum cleaner is often placed in a storage room. There, poor lighting conditions can cause objects to be knocked over with the vacuum cleaner.

The invention addresses the problem of improving a vacuum cleaner of the aforementioned type so that the user is easier to handle.

According to the invention this problem is solved by a vacuum cleaner with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention will become apparent from the following subclaims.

The achievable with the invention advantages result from the lighting device is associated with a circuit device with which at least a short-term lighting after switching off the vacuum cleaner or disconnecting the vacuum cleaner from the mains voltage can be achieved. This allows the user to see well even in a dark environment, which makes it easier to park the vacuum cleaner.

The lighting device can be arranged in an advantageous manner in a holding device for a suction tool, here it acts to the effect that the insertion of the suction tool in the holding device is possible even in dark rooms.

FIG. 1 shows a canister vacuum cleaner 1 in the operating position, ie with the wheels not shown on the ground. The housing 2 of the vacuum cleaner 1 is equipped with a holding device 4 in its right-hand region 3 in the pulling direction. This is intended to receive a corresponding locking element on a suction tool (not shown), in particular on a floor nozzle. This results in a so-called parking position. A vacuum cleaner with a floor nozzle, connected via a suction hose and a suction tube and received in the park position, for example, from DE 40 36 314 C2 known and therefore not shown here. FIG. 2 shows the vacuum cleaner 1 on the rear side of the housing 5 standing in a so-called storage position. In the Figures 1 and 2 is the holding device 4 in the right housing area, in FIG. 1 nor a further holding device 6 in the rear housing area recognizable. A third holding device on the left side of the housing is present, but not visible in the figures. In the vacuum cleaner shown both holding devices 4 are equipped in the lateral area with lighting devices, see also Figures 2 and 4 ,

In the FIG. 1 is also a main switch 19 can be seen in the form of a foot switch, via which a not visible in the drawings vacuum cleaner fan is turned on.

Like in the FIG. 2 and in particular in the FIG. 3 can be seen, the lateral holding devices 4 comprise an insertion region 7 and a holding portion 8 for the not shown locking element on the floor nozzle. Both areas 7 and 8 are each equipped with a rather punctually acting illumination device, hereinafter referred to as point illuminations 9 and 10 respectively. In each case, a further, strip-shaped illumination device is arranged below the lateral holding devices, referred to below as light strips 11. The point lights 9 and 10 facilitate the insertion of the locking element to the user, the light strip 11 also serves in addition to the illumination of the suction area and even to illuminate the storage space of the vacuum cleaner. 1

FIG. 4 shows the lighting devices 9 to 11 with the side holding devices as a detail. On both sides lighting panels 12 can be seen, which are in the installed state inside the housing. They are connected via a line 13 to a supply and control electronics 14. On each lighting board, a plurality of LED's 15 are arranged as light sources, see FIG. 5 , Of the light sources lead on each lighting board light guide 16 in the insertion and in the holding area and form there the point lights 9 and 10. Further LED's 15 are associated with a lens 17, which also acts as a light guide and the light strip 11 is formed. The surfaces of the light guides 16 and 17 are flush with the surface of the housing 2.

The supply and control electronics 14 is equipped with a circuit device 18, which upon actuation of the main switch 19 (see FIG. 1 ) turns on the lighting devices 9 to 11 in addition to the vacuum cleaner fan. The circuit device 18 also includes two capacitors 20, which maintain a power supply of 30 to 60 seconds to the lighting boards 12 after the main switch is operated again and thus the vacuum cleaner 1 has been turned off. This time is sufficient for further lighting to unplug the power plug (not shown), parking the vacuum cleaner 1 and inserting the locking element. It goes without saying that the power supply of 30 to 60 seconds to the lighting boards 12 is maintained even after pulling the power plug without operating the main switch 19.
