Description

The present invention relates to a confectionery packaging box made from a folded carton blank which is foldable from a flat, folded state to an erected condition, in which front and rear wall parts and interconnecting opposite side wall portions form a cubic jacket, through a bottom wall in the ground plane folded and interconnected extension parts of the front, rear and side wall parts is formed and the upper opening is closed by a hinged lid, which is formed from an extension portion of the rear wall portion, wherein the extension area is formed so far extended that it folded in the Condition is reaching beyond the front wall portion, wherein the extension portion is provided at the end with a tab which is plugged into a provided in the front wall portion at the appropriate slot to the extension area as a lid in the closed Zu stood detachable to attach to the front wall part.

Such a packaging box is made, for example WO 2006/028960 A2 known, in particular from the embodiment described there in connection with FIGS. 47 to 49. The packaging box has a packaging blank, the front, rear and side wall parts and the rear wall portion forms an extension region from which a hinged lid is formed. At the front, rear and side wall portions projections are provided on the opposite end side of the extension portion, which can be folded when folding the packaging box in the ground plane and connected to each other, so as a bottom wall of the packaging box to build. On at least one of the front, rear and side walls, a projection over the last fold line is provided at the end of the blank. The front, back and side wall parts are defined in the blank by four fold lines. The blank is folded along these fold lines and the blank is thereby brought into the form of a cubic jacket, whereby the projecting region projecting beyond the fold line comes into contact with the inner surface of the next wall part and is fixed there by gluing. The bottom wall can be fixed by nesting or also by gluing. Such packages are known for many types of confectionery. In particular, the package for chewing gum sticks described in said PCT application is intended to be accommodated in several stacks of, for example, five superimposed chewing gum sticks next to each other in the packaging box.

To remove a chewing gum strip, the hinged lid is opened by pulling the tab of the extension area out of the slot in the front part and then opening the lid. Then a stick of chewing gum can be removed from one of the stacks. With the box still completely filled, the juxtaposed stacks of superimposed chewing gum sticks fill the interior of the box so that the arrangement is kept stable and slipping of chewing gum sticks is prevented. However, if the packaging box is already partially emptied, the chewing gum stacks no longer support each other so that individual sticks of chewing gum can slip out of their stack and into the interior of the box, for example also in it. This makes accessibility difficult if the user wants to remove another stick of chewing gum, since under certain circumstances it no longer reaches into the region of the opening, but slips and slants in the mouth Interior of the packaging box is located. To address this problem, in WO 2006/028960 A2 proposed to combine each chewing gum stick stack into a unit by the stack is summarized at least over part of its height by a sheath, which includes the stack such as a band and holds together. It is also contemplated that the envelopes of the stacks may each be adhesively secured to the inner surface of the packaging box. In this way, the stacks can be kept substantially stable, even if the packaging box is already partially emptied by multiple withdrawals, since the shells of the individual stacks each contained chewing gum sticks in the specified by the shell portion of the interior of the packaging box. The envelope is formed by a paper sheet or film that can be wrapped around a stack and then made by gluing in the overlap area and forming a bottom surface by folding. In any case, this means to be made in advance forming stacks, producing an envelope on this stack, a splice on the envelope for their attachment to the inner surface of the packaging box and the positionally accurate introduction of the wrapped stack to its intended location in the interior of the packaging box means that several Further work steps for the operations mentioned are required. The manufacture and filling of such a packaging box for confectionery is therefore complicated. The problem is not limited only to chewing gum sticks, similar problems arise in other elongated or rod-shaped products to be housed in substantially cubic packaging in larger numbers.

DE-U-82 12 586 describes a packaging box with inner wall parts that have a lower height than the side wall parts and do not fill the entire height of the interior.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a packaging box for confectionery, in which the goods packed therein well and conveniently accessible even in part emptied packaging box are kept sorted, with the number of required further steps in the production of the filled packaging box should be as low as possible.

To solve this problem, the characterizing features of claim 1 in conjunction with the preamble. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

According to the invention it is provided that the carton blank is provided with at least one further cardboard part which is arranged in the unfolded state of the packaging box inside the jacket of the packaging box formed by the front, rear and side wall parts. The further cardboard part is connected to the inner surfaces of the opposite front and rear wall parts and thus measured and provided with fold lines which are parallel to the fold lines of the wall parts and are arranged adjacent to the front and rear wall parts. The defined by the fold lines gap has the same width as the side wall parts. In this case, the region of the further cardboard part lying between the two fold lines is not connected to any inner surface of the wall parts. This arrangement ensures that upon unfolding of the carton blank to form the packaging box, the further cardboard part starting from a parallel to the front and back wall portions lying position parallel to the two side wall parts standing inner wall part which lies between the two fold lines and said the interior the box is divided.

As a result of the design according to the invention, when the carton blank is unfolded to produce the outer wall of the packing box, the area of the further carton part lying between the fold lines is simultaneously formed to form one unfolded the outer side wall parts parallel inner wall part. As a result, a packaging box can be manufactured with a subdivided into two or more compartments interior without further work: several inner wall parts must of course be prepared by appropriate adjustment of the cardboard part with multiple pairs of fold lines. The width of the trays should correspond to the width of the product stacks and the height of the trays should be such that a desired number of confectionery items can be accommodated in each tray, eg 5 chewing gum sticks per stack.

In an advantageous embodiment, the further cardboard part is formed by an extension formed integrally with the cardboard blank. This adjoins an outer fold line of an edge of the packaging box and has a first planar area for abutment with the inner surface of one of the front and rear wall parts. This is followed by two fold lines, which are parallel to the fold lines of the packaging box outer walls and define between them a strip-shaped area whose width is equal to the width of one of the side wall parts. At this strip-shaped area, a second planar area connects to the inner surface of the other of the front and rear wall parts. The two planar areas are each connected to the adjoining wall parts, for example by gluing. However, the strip-shaped area between the fold lines is without direct connection to the inner surfaces of the wall parts. When unfolding the carton blank from the flattened state then the or the inner wall parts are brought from the flat state in the plane of the carton blank by pivoting in a position in which they are perpendicular to the planes of the front and rear wall parts next to the side walls of the packaging box.

In an advantageous embodiment, two further fold lines may be provided on the extension of the further cardboard part following the second planar region, which are parallel to the fold lines of the packaging box outer wall and which define between them a strip-shaped region whose width corresponds to one of the side wall parts. At this strip-shaped area, a third planar area adjoins the inner surface of that of the front and rear wall parts, on which also abuts the first planar portion of the extension. The four fold lines are arranged on the extension in such a way that the inner wall parts resulting from unfolding of the carton blank from the strip-shaped regions divide the interior of the carton into three compartments of the same size.

In an alternative embodiment, the further carton part may be constructed as described above but be a separate part from the carton blank which is adhered to the inside surfaces of the front and back wall parts of the carton blank.

The further cardboard part has a smaller height in relation to the front, rear and side wall parts, so that the inner wall parts resulting therefrom, when the strip-shaped regions are stopped between the fold lines, do not extend to the entire height through the interior of the packaging box. The inner wall parts extend only to a height in the range of 50% to 80% of the packaging box outer wall parts. However, the height to be selected depends on the nature of the confectionery products that are to be accommodated in the individual compartments. For example, in the case of individual packaged chewing gum sticks, a height of 50% may be sufficient for the inner wall parts relative to the packaging box outer wall parts.

The packaging box is provided with a hinged lid formed by an extension portion of the rear wall portion of the packaging box and two folding lines, so that the extension portion can be placed in a part forming the top wall of the packaging box and a front lid portion extending over the front wall portion. Disposed on the front part of the lid is a tab which is insertable into a slot on the front part to releasably retain the lid in the closed position. Preferably, the slot is centrally located on the front wall portion and has a substantially linear upper limit line and a concave lower limit line to form a half-concave slot. The slot has at least one of its lateral ends continuing in the front wall portion incision. The tab is also centrally located on the extension portion and is asymmetrically shaped, so that initially a narrower end portion of the tab is inserted into the slot, after which the width of the inserted slot portion in the slot area increases with further insertion and in the closed state substantially the width of the Slot corresponds.

The tab preferably has an incision on one side in that region of the tab which is in the region of the slot when the lid is closed and inserted into the slot, which reduces the width of the tab so that the tab interacts with the incision can get caught on the slot with the front wall part, so as to avoid slipping out of the tab.

The invention will now be described by way of example and with reference to the drawings, in which:
  • Fig. 1 a plan view of a carton blank with another cardboard part to form a packaging box shows, with carton blank and another carton part are shown in the flat state, and
  • Fig. 2 a cross section through one of the cardboard blank Fig. 1 produced packaging box shows.

The embodiment of a packaging box shown schematically in the figures is formed from a cardboard blank with a further cardboard part integrally connected thereto. The carton blank has a front wall part 1 and subsequently two vertical fold lines which define a first side wall part 2 between them. This is followed by the rear wall part 4, followed by two more vertical fold lines, which define the second side wall part 3 between them.

At the second side wall part 3, first an extension adjoins, which has substantially the same height as the side wall part and which serves to abut the folded packaging box on the inner surface in the edge region of the front wall part 1 and there glued to the inner surface of the front part 1 to fix the box body. At this extension of the side wall part 3, another cardboard part 20 connects, which is substantially strip-shaped. At this further cardboard part 20, two further fold lines 21 are initially provided at a predetermined distance from the last fold line of the side wall part 3, which define between them a strip-shaped region 22 whose width is equal to the width between the fold lines of the side wall parts 2 and 3. After an adjoining second planar region, a corresponding pair of fold lines 21 ', which define a strip-shaped region 22' of the same width, follows. The distance between the two strip-shaped Areas 22, 22 'are dimensioned such that the inner wall parts 22, 22' formed by means of the strip-shaped regions are spaced from one another in the folded state, so that the compartment lying therebetween has a width which is equal to one third of the width of the packaging box. Further, the first two fold lines 21 are arranged on the extension that the inner wall 22 defined by them after unfolding is at a distance from the side wall part 3, which corresponds to one third of the total width of the packaging box.

The packaging box produced by folding is in the Fig. 2 shown position fixed by gluing in the region of the first, second and third planar area to the front wall part 1 and rear wall part 4.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, three compartments are formed in the interior of the packaging box by the inner walls 22 and 23 which are deployed during unfolding. For example, these compartments may be the width of one of the chewing gum sticks to be packaged, while their height may be tuned to a predetermined number of stacked chewing gum sticks per stack so that, for example, a stack of 5 chewing gum sticks fits into each of the compartments.

It is apparent that embodiments with only one or more than two inner walls with the structure according to the invention are possible.
