Description

Domaine technique de l'invention.Technical Field of the Invention

The subject of the invention is a protective device for a dosing or transfer pump.

It concerns the technical field of equipment to protect pumps for extracting dangerous liquid products (of the type petroleum product, soda, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, ferric chloride, ammonia, etc.) or non-hazardous (of the type food product, water, etc.), from the tank in which they are stored to their place of use.

État de la technique.State of the art

The metering or transfer pumps are generally arranged near the storage tanks for dangerous or non-hazardous liquid products. Their function is to extract in a controlled manner the stored liquid to bring it to a site where it will be used.

These pumps are usually integrated in a more complex hydraulic circuit including, besides the pipes, a number of valves, filters, valves, manometers, etc. The connections between these different elements inevitably generate leaks or drips that need to be controlled. In addition, pressurizing the pipes and / or the malfunction of a pump may induce risks of leaks or projections which must be known to protect themselves.

Safety recommendations or recommendations include, in particular, when hazardous liquids are dosed and transferred, that the metering and transfer pumps are equipped with an individual anti-projection device to visualize the equipment, to safely access the controls. adjustments and authorizing intervention on equipment while protecting the operator. To do this, it is known to use protection devices comprising a hollow rigid cabinet inside which is positioned at least one hydraulic circuit associated with a metering or transfer pump, the interior of said cabinet being accessible by at least one door disposed on its front face. All leakage residues remain in the cabinet, however pumps and other hydraulic circuit elements remain easily accessible. JP 2000-355961 describes such a device. The preamble of the independent claim is based on said document.

The protection cabinets known from the prior art are generally made of boilermaking and are custom designed, that is to say that they adapt specifically to the configuration of the hydraulic circuit they must protect, and in particular to the model of the pump. Indeed, the various elements of the hydraulic circuit, including the pump, are fixed on the bottom wall of the cabinet. In practice, the configuration of the hydraulic circuit is almost constant from one installation to another and only the model of the pump changes. However, a small pump will not be positioned in the same way as a larger pump. Therefore, it has appeared necessary to design specific individual cabinets, suitable for a given hydraulic circuit and a given pump model.

The main objective of the invention is to provide a "universal" protection device that can be adapted to a large number of models of metering or transfer pumps.

The dosing or transfer pumps available on the market have weights ranging from 1 Kg to 20 Kg or more. It is therefore not easy to handle them and even less to fix them against the bottom wall of a cabinet. Also, it is particularly difficult to position the various elements of the hydraulic circuit and to connect them inside the cabinet itself.

Another object of the invention is therefore to provide a protection device facilitating the mounting of the various elements of the hydraulic circuit and the pump inside a protective cabinet.

Divulgation de l'invention.Disclosure of the invention.

The technical solution proposed by the invention is a metering or transfer pump device, comprising a hollow rigid protection cabinet inside which is positioned at least one hydraulic circuit associated with a metering or transfer pump, interior of said cabinet being accessible by at least one door disposed on its front face, this device being remarkable in that:
  • the hydraulic circuit and the pump are mounted on a removable support plate intended to be fixed inside the cabinet, against the bottom wall of the latter
  • the support plate comprises means for adjusting the vertical position and the horizontal position of the pump inside said cabinet.

It is now easy to mount all the elements of the hydraulic circuit and the pump on the support plate, outside the cabinet, then fix the assembly against the bottom wall of the latter. Also, by having a horizontal and vertical adjustment of the position of the pump, inside the cabinet, an operator can consider using for the same cabinet, several pump models.

The bottom wall of the cabinet is preferably provided with relief elements ensuring the positioning of the support plate against said bottom wall.

The pump is advantageously arranged on a support member intended to be fixed against the support plate, said plate comprising at least two horizontal grooves positioned one above the other and intended to receive said support member.

A hydraulic circuit associated with several pumps can also be positioned inside the cabinet, each pump and its associated circuit portion being mounted on an independent removable support plate.

Preferably, the cabinet is made in one piece of molded plastic.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, a drip retention tank from the hydraulic circuit and / or the pump is integrated at the bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet can then integrate a visual and / or audible alarm connected to a level sensor arranged in the holding tank, said alarm being triggered when a maximum level of dripping is reached in said tray.

Advantageously, the side walls of the cabinet comprise respectively in the upper part and in the lower part of the parts of lesser thickness intended to be cut and / or drilled to form a natural ventilation inside said cabinet.

The interior of the cabinet is advantageously accessible by one or more doors made in one piece of molded plastic, at least one of said doors having at least one opening opening into the interior of the structure and in which is fixed a compartment to EAR.

The side walls of the cabinet are advantageously provided with at least one opening opening inside said cabinet, said opening being closed by a transparent plate.

The walls of the cabinet are preferably equipped with:
  • an inlet connector for connecting the inlet of the hydraulic circuit to an inlet conduit for the liquid product to be dosed,
  • an outlet connector for connecting the output of the hydraulic circuit to a conduit for discharging the dosed liquid product.

In order to secure the outlet fitting:
  • the evacuation duct passes through the wall of the cabinet to connect to the outlet of the hydraulic circuit which is disposed inside said cabinet,
  • the opening made in the wall of the cabinet is closed by a wall-pass on which is connected an external conduit,
  • the outer duct is arranged to double the wall of the exhaust duct which is located outside the cabinet.

In order to secure the inlet connection:
  • the inlet duct passes through the wall of the cabinet to connect to the inlet of the hydraulic circuit which is disposed inside said cabinet,
  • the opening made in the wall of the cabinet is closed by a wall-pass on which is connected an external conduit,
  • the outer duct is arranged so as to double the wall of the inlet duct which is located outside the cabinet.

The device that is the subject of the invention is intended to protect metering or transfer pumps as well as the associated hydraulic circuits. This device protects the operator, secures the installations and preserves the environment from all the dangers inherent to the dosing or pump transfer operations: dangers related to product errors; risks related to piping connections (sealing of fittings, etc.); the danger of splashing when the pipes are pressurized; risks of leaks and projections in case of malfunction of a dosing pump, etc.

With reference to the appended figures, the protective device comprises a hollow rigid cabinet 1 inside which is positioned at least one hydraulic circuit 2 associated with at least one dosing or transfer pump 3. The cabinet 1 may contain one, two, three or more pumps 3 as needed. The hydraulic circuit 2 may for example contain, in addition to the pump 3, piping, a calibration pot, isolation valves, purge valves, front filters, anti-pulsation balloons, discharge valves, manometers, or any other hydraulic element usually used by those skilled in the art.

The cabinet 1 is preferably made in one piece of molded plastic. It can for example be obtained by roto-molding. The constituent material of the cabinet 1 is advantageously an anti-corrosion material, resistant to shocks and UV and inert to chemicals. In practice, HDPE is used, but any other material suitable for those skilled in the art can be used.

Pour trois pompes 3 (figure 6), sa largeur peut être d'environ 2000 mm, sa hauteur d'environ 1400 mm et sa profondeur d'environ 600 mm.When the cabinet 1 is intended to contain a single pump 3 ( figure 1 ), its width may be about 800 mm, its height about 1400 mm and its depth about 600 mm. For two pumps 3 ( figure 4 ), its width may be about 1400 mm, its height about 1400 mm and its depth about 600 mm. For three pumps 3 ( figure 6 ), its width may be about 2000 mm, its height about 1400 mm and its depth about 600 mm.

The interior of the cabinet 1 is accessible through at least one door 4 disposed on its front face. In practice, as many doors 4 are provided as there are pumps 3, said doors being arranged directly opposite said pumps. In this way, to intervene on a pump 3, or on the hydraulic circuit portion 2 associated with it, it is sufficient to open the corresponding door 4 without having to open the other doors. The door or doors 4 are made in one piece of molded plastic whose constituent material is advantageously the same as that of the cabinet 1. The lugs 42 are provided on the doors 4 and on the front face of the cabinet 1 for receive a padlock for locking said doors. These lugs 42 are positioned at the top and / or bottom of the doors 4. It is advantageously provided on or under the doors 4, a location dedicated to a key for opening the lock padlocks.

By referring to figures 1 , 4 and 6 at least one of the doors 4 comprises at least one opening opening inside the structure and in which is fixed a compartment EPI 40 (EPI for Personal Protective Equipment: combination, anti-acid gloves, glasses). In practice, each door 4 has an equal number of openings opening into the interior of the cabinet 1, these openings can either be closed by an EPI compartment 40 or be closed by a transparent plate 41. The compartment EPI 40 is first inserted into one of the openings and then its edges are glued or welded around the periphery of said opening. Advantageously, on or beneath the compartment EPI 40 a location dedicated to a spare key allowing the opening of said EPI compartment.

By referring to the figure 2 , the hydraulic circuit 2 and the pump 3 are mounted on a removable support plate 5. The material constituting the support plate 5 is advantageously an anti-corrosion material, resistant to shocks and UV and inert to chemicals. In practice, HDPE is used, but any other material suitable for those skilled in the art can be used. The dimensions of the support plate 5 are for example 500 mm wide, 1000 mm high and a few tens of millimeters thick. By referring to figures 5 and 7 when the hydraulic circuit is associated with several pumps 3, each pump and its associated circuit portion 2 are mounted on an independent removable support plate 5. This avoids the use of several models of support plate.

The pump 3 is disposed on a support element 6 intended to be fixed against the support plate 5. This support element 6 can be likened to a bracket. The support plate 5 advantageously comprises at least two horizontal grooves 50 positioned one above the other and intended to receive the support element 6. By positioning the latter on one or the other of the horizontal grooves 50 it is therefore possible to vary the vertical position of the pump 3 on the support plate 5 and therefore in the cabinet 1. And by varying the position of the support element 6 in one of the grooves 50, it is possible to vary the horizontal position of the pump 3, on the support plate 5 and thus in the cabinet 1. It is obviously possible to provide more than two grooves 50, but the applicant has found that with just two grooves about 500 mm long and spaced about 100 mm, the vast majority of commercial dosing or transfer pumps could be correctly positioned and particularly those having a flow rate between 0 L / H and 400 L / H. Keeping the support element 6 in position in the grooves 50 is achieved by means of conventional fasteners. According to design of the pump 3 and in particular if it comprises a suitable base, it would be possible to directly fix said pump in the grooves 50. One could also provide other means for adjusting the vertical position and the horizontal position of the pump 3 such as vertical and horizontal series of holes.

By referring to figures 2 , 5 and 7 , the support plate 5 is advantageously equipped with a series of pins 21 for facilitating the positioning and organization of the hydraulic elements 20 on said plate.

By referring to the figure 3 the bottom wall of the cabinet 1 is provided with relief elements 7 enabling the support plate 5 to be placed in position. These elements 7 project towards the front of the cabinet 1 and have a shape complementary to the support plate 5. The edges of the latter may also be provided with additional cutouts cooperating with the raised elements 7 so as to optimize the positioning. Once in place, the fixing of the support plate 5 on the bottom wall of the cabinet 1 is performed by means of screws 8 or any other similar elements.

By referring to figures 1 , 3 , 4 and 6 , the side edges 10 of the vertical bottom wall of the cabinet 1 extend outwardly of said cabinet and are provided with orifices 100 for the passage of fastener against a wall. The orifices 100 are preferably open on the sides of the edges 10 so as to facilitate the positioning of the fasteners. These fasteners are typically conventional fasteners. The cabinet 1 can therefore be fixed easily and quickly on site with simple tools.

Dans l'objectif d'un gain de place, on prévoit un décroché permettant d'encastrer la tuyauterie équipée de la vanne 112 dans l'armoire 1.It is advantageous to provide a tray 11 for retention of drips from the hydraulic circuit 2 and / or the pump 3, said tray being integrated at the bottom of the cabinet 1. The retention tank 11 has an orifice 110 for discharging the drips. When drips (projections, leaks, ...) are recovered in the holding tank 11, they are automatically directed, by gravity, to the orifice 110. The latter is configured to connect to a pipe equipped with a valve 112 for safely extracting drips. The latter are directed either to a tank or barrel disposed under the cabinet 1 or to a subsidiary hydraulic circuit recovery. In practice, the orifice 110 is disposed on the front face of the cabinet 1, but provision could be made to arrange it on one of the sides of said cabinet. In order to save space, a recess is provided for embedding the pipework equipped with the valve 112 in the cabinet 1.

In its upper part, the cabinet 1 advantageously comprises a location for a visual and / or audible alarm 12. This alarm can be connected to a level sensor arranged in the retention tank 11, said alarm being triggered when a maximum level dripping is achieved in said tank. Thus, the operator can be warned when he must empty the drips contained in the holding tank 11. To control the level of the retention tank 11, it is also possible to use a visual level tube, for example to outdoor float, equipped with a sensor safety (for example: magnetic counterweight).

By referring to figures 1 , 3 or 4 , the side walls of the cabinet 1 are advantageously provided with at least one opening 13 opening inside said cabinet, said opening being closed by a transparent plate. Also, it is advantageous that the side walls of the cabinet 1 respectively comprise in the upper part and in the lower part of the smaller thicknesses 14 provided to be cut and / or drilled so as to form a natural ventilation inside said wardrobe. It is also possible to provide parts of less thickness intended to be cut and / or pierced so as to be able to install a forced ventilation system of the fan type.

By referring to the figure 8 the walls of the cabinet 1 are equipped with an inlet connection 91 and an outlet connection 92. The inlet connection 91 makes it possible to connect the inlet of the hydraulic circuit 2 to an inlet duct 910 liquid product to be dosed. This inlet duct 910 is connected to a reservoir or a storage container of the product to be dosed. And the outlet fitting 92 makes it possible to connect the output of the hydraulic circuit 2 to an evacuation duct 920 of the dosed liquid product. This exhaust duct 920 is typically connected to the injection point of the product such as: basin, tank, pipe, specific installation, etc. The inlet duct 910 and the evacuation duct 920 are preferably made of PTFE so as to effectively resist any attack of the product to be dosed. Any other material such as stainless steel, plastic, or other, may however be used by those skilled in the art.

To avoid any risk of leakage and for the purpose of securing the connection of these various conduits 910, 920 to the cabinet 1, there is provided a secure connection which is explained in detail on the figure 9 . The solution shown in this figure is relative to the outlet fitting 92 but a similar solution is used for the inlet fitting 91. The exhaust duct 920 passes through the wall of the cabinet 1 to screw by screwing to the outlet of the hydraulic circuit which is inside said cabinet. The opening made in the wall of the cabinet 1 is closed by a wall pass. The latter comprises a hollow threaded conduit 93 opening out of the cabinet 1 and one end of which is provided with a shoulder 930 bearing against the inner wall of said cabinet. A nut 931 is screwed onto the threaded portion of the duct 93 so that the shoulder 930 and said nut grip the wall of the cabinet 1. The seals 932 are preferably placed between the shoulder 930 and the wall of the cabinet to seal the fitting. The evacuation duct 920 thus passes through the hollow threaded duct 93. To prevent the metered product from discharges outside the cabinet 1 in case of rupture of said exhaust duct 920, its wall is doubled which is located outside said cabinet. To do this, the evacuation duct 920 is passed through an external duct 94 whose end is screwed onto the threaded end of the duct 93. The outlet fitting 92 is thus totally secured, nor the evacuation duct 920, neither the external duct 94 being accidentally disconnected from the cabinet 1. The constituent material of the external duct 94 may be steel, stainless steel, plastic, or any other material suitable for use by the man job.

A similar solution is used to secure the inlet fitting 91, i.e.
  • the inlet duct 910 passes through the wall of the cabinet 1 to connect to the inlet of the hydraulic circuit 2 which is disposed inside said cabinet,
  • the opening made in the wall of the cabinet 1 is closed by a wall-pass on which is connected an external conduit 95,
  • the external duct 95 is arranged so as to double the wall of the inlet duct 910 which is located outside the cabinet 1.
