Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The present invention relates to a module for the realization of podological orthoses or comfort, including orthopedic insoles.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

Orthopedic insoles or plantar orthoses are used as foot support in a shoe, they are removable by being placed inside a shoe or sport shoe. The orthopedic insoles are generally intended to compensate for deformation of the sole of the foot, to cushion shocks during walking or running, to discharge the zones of the supports subjected to very high stresses, and even to ensure comfort by preventing the appearance of pain related to the shape of the shoe.

The orthopedic insoles or orthoses must be adapted to the anatomy of the foot, they can be of the mechanical type being made by an assembly of elements of different heights, in materials of different density or they can be made by molding on the basis of thermoformable elements.

Thus, it is known in the state of the art the document FR 2 782 613 in the name of the applicant which describes an orthopedic module made from thermoformable materials. The module comprises a base intended to come into contact with the insole of the shoe, a rigid or semi-rigid shell for providing support to the orthopedic sole and an upper covering for isolating the foot of the shell. The support shell has a rear contour located in the vicinity of that of the base and a front contour having a V-shaped cut, the branches of the V extending to the base of the end metatarsals. This solution certainly provides a difference in tarsal-metatarsal density with the effect of improved stability of the foot, but, due to its mechanical characteristics which are due to its material and its thickness, it does not ensure sufficient support and support of the arch. It should be noted that the thickness of this shell has been limited to avoid the sensations of discomfort due to the contact of its tangential edges with the foot of the user.

A solution has been proposed in this year's catalog of Coblentz where we observe a module made according to the aforementioned document, but which comprises an additional reinforcement arranged only at the level of the arch. Assuring, certainly, a better support of the arch, this solution finds its limits in the stability of the foot. Indeed, twists in a vertical plane around the longitudinal axis of the foot may appear during the course of the step.

The document is also known WO 2005/058085 which describes an individualized multilayer structure sole having, from the top: a first layer of fabric, a second layer of cushioning material, a third layer of a nonwoven material, a fourth layer of resin extending from the heel to to the toes, a fifth layer of resin located in the area of the heel and provided with a pad of a shock-absorbing material. The sole thus produced provides, of course, a better support of the heel, but at the cost of insufficient support of the arch, this on the one hand because the fourth layer of resin has a contour of convex shape without any possibility of lateral support of the foot and, secondly, that the fifth layer of resin surrounds the calcaneus. Moreover, this sole is likely to cause discomfort during the flexing of the toes, because the fourth resin layer extends to the level of the latter. Another disadvantage is an increased difficulty in shaping such a sole resin, this material can not be subjected to finishing work by sanding. The addition of an additional layer allowing its shaping would lead to obtain a sole too thick and limit its use.

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide an orthopedic module of the type that can be used to obtain by thermoforming an orthopedic insole that is able to ensure good support of the arch and at the same time to stabilize the foot during the movement of the carrier of said sole.

Another object of the invention is to provide an orthopedic module capable of ensuring a good support of the foot and at the same time a good comfort during walking or running, or even to relieve some painful support while being a clutter reduced.

Another object of the invention is to provide an orthopedic module capable of ensuring a good support of the foot with a good distribution of the supports, while being easily made by thermoforming so as to simplify the process of producing a sole comprising , avoiding to go through tedious recovery or shaping operations, for a lower cost of manufacture.

  • une première coque rigide ou semi-rigide, destinée à conférer du soutien à la semelle orthopédique;
These aims are achieved with an orthopedic module for the thermoforming realization of orthopedic insoles comprising a multilayer complex associating in order in independent form or in pre-bonded form:
  • a first rigid or semi-rigid shell, intended to provide support to the orthopedic sole;
  • said first shell having an anterior V-shaped cutout, the end of the inner branch of which is in the vicinity of the first metatarsal neck, the end of the outer branch of which is in the vicinity of the fifth metatarsal neck, and whose edge posterior is substantially located in the vicinity of the posterior medium of the medial metatarsals,
  • an upper liner, in the form of a sole or cut with an anterior edge substantially at the anterior limit of the anterior heel, and intended to isolate the foot from the hull,
characterized in that said module comprises at least a second rigid or semi-rigid shell for providing support to the orthopedic sole, having a contour of substantially identical shape to that of the first, but having dimensions smaller than the first and being adjacent to said first shell.

The orthopedic module of the invention comprises a multilayer complex, including a rigid or semi-rigid shell which, by its shape and dimensions provides a first support of the arch, and an upper covering to protect the foot from to said shell. This multilayer complex is intended to produce an orthopedic insole by a thermoforming process, where the generic term orthopedic insole is used to indicate a plantar orthosis or a sole of comfort.

According to the invention, a second rigid or semi-rigid shell is added adjacent said first shell. By second shell disposed adjacent to the first, it is understood that said second shell bears against said first shell, being able to be arranged above or below the latter. This makes it possible to adjust the mechanical strength and the flexibility of the assembly, the values of these parameters being determined by the characteristics of the shell material and its thickness.

In a variant, several such rigid or semi-rigid shells can be added to the structure of the module so as to adapt the module to the size, the weight of the wearer, or even to the physical activity exerted. The different shells can have varying thicknesses, which allows to multiply the combinations and thus obtain a greater range of rigidity values. When several shells are added against each other to the structure of the sole, their shapes and dimensions are chosen so that the contours of the various successive hulls are set back relative to each other. progressive.

More particularly, such a module makes it possible to better stabilize the rear foot, while offering effective assistance and guiding of the march and the attack phase of it. Indeed, the two rigid or semi-rigid shells have a well-defined contour so that the force on the foot during the course of the step is transmitted between the heel and the front part of the foot, by the assembly formed by these support hulls. Thus, the foot is well maintained when it bears on the ground at the outside of the heel, then when switching to the fifth metatarsal, transferring the force along the outer edges of the reinforcing shells, effort which is then swung to the first metatarsal, then to the first toe, along the edge of the anterior V-cut, with simultaneous support on the inner edge of the heel.

In addition, because the contour of the second shell is recessed relative to the contour of the first, the height of the rigid edges is reduced, which allows the sole obtained after thermoforming such a module to have less rigidity at its tangential edges (it includes edges that bear tangentially against the side walls of a shoe). This makes it possible, on the one hand, to facilitate molding and, on the other hand, to confer more comfort during walking and at the same time sufficient support for the foot in the common zone of superposition of the two hulls.

Advantageously, the module of the invention comprises a lower base, whole or cut, and in this alternative whose anterior edge is located in the vicinity of the anterior limit of the anterior heel, intended to come into contact with the insole of the boot capable of receiving the orthopedic sole, said lower base being disposed in the vicinity of said first rigid or semi-rigid shell.

Said second shell can then be arranged by bearing directly or indirectly on said lower base, depending on the type of sole. Thus, for so-called "comfort" soles, it is preferred to arrange the shell having larger dimensions, or said first shell, directly on the lower base, between the latter and said second shell. In the case of so-called "orthopedic" soles, it is preferred to arrange the shell having larger dimensions, or said first shell, against said second shell, which itself then bears directly on said lower base.

  • une base inférieure, entière ou découpée, et dans cette alternative dont le bord antérieur est situé au voisinage de la limite antérieure du talon antérieur, destinée à venir au contact de la semelle de propreté de la chaussure susceptible de recevoir la semelle orthopédique;
  • une première coque rigide ou semi-rigide, destinée à conférer du soutien à la semelle orthopédique;
Thus, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the orthopedic module for thermoforming orthopedic insoles comprises a multilayer complex associating in the order in independent form or in pre-bonded form:
  • a lower base, whole or cut, and in this alternative whose anterior edge is located in the vicinity of the anterior limit of the anterior heel, intended to come into contact with the sole of cleanliness of the shoe capable of receiving the orthopedic sole;
  • a first rigid or semi-rigid shell, intended to provide support to the orthopedic sole;
  • said first shell having an anterior V-shaped cutout, the end of the inner branch of which is in the vicinity of the first metatarsal neck, the end of the outer branch of which is in the vicinity of the fifth metatarsal neck, and whose edge posterior is substantially located in the vicinity of the posterior medium of the medial metatarsals,
  • an upper liner, in the form of a sole or cut with an anterior edge substantially at the anterior limit of the anterior heel, and intended to isolate the foot from the hull,
and, more particularly according to the invention, at least one second rigid or semi-rigid shell intended to provide support for the orthopedic soleplate, having a shape contour substantially identical to that of the first, but having dimensions smaller than the first and being disposed adjacent to said first hull, above or below it.

Such a lower base makes it possible to advantageously supplement the module of the invention, the rigid or semi-rigid shells being thus sandwiched between said lower base and said upper covering. Such a base then makes it possible to facilitate the work of shaping the module of the invention, especially during finishing work by sanding the base. The lower base also makes it possible to add to the module of the invention other additional elements below the base, for example foot stabilizing elements, these elements can then be glued while hot, while avoiding that the temperature deteriorates said rigid or semi-rigid shells. In addition, said lower base may itself constitute a comfort support, both on the support surfaces of the forefoot, but also at the level of the retro-capital region, with respect to the V-cut of said rigid shells. or semi-rigid.

Preferably, the edge of said second shell is recessed relative to the edge of the first shell by a distance equal to or greater than the thickness of said second shell on its periphery.

It has been found, during the tests carried out, that, for values of said shrinkage greater than or equal to the thickness of said second shell, the edge of the first shell could flex sufficiently while moving towards the inner wall of the boot. in contact with the foot, thus ensuring a good comfort of the foot when walking, and this all around these support hulls. By way of example, for support shell thicknesses between 0.5 and 3 mm, the values of this shrinkage are preferably between 0.5 and 7 mm. The values of said shrinkage may be different on the periphery, for example in order to be able to adapt the contour as a function of the sensitivity of the bearing zones.

Advantageously, the second posterior edge of the V-shaped front cutout of said second shell is located further back than the rest of its contour relative to the corresponding portions of the outline of the first shell.

Thus, a more recessed placement of the posterior edge of the V-shaped cutout of the second shell makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the support material to be thermoformed, in order to better be able to conform it to specific reliefs, such as a retro-capital median element or a retro-capital bar.

Preferably, the second posterior edge of the front cutout of said second shell is set back by a distance of between 5 and 15 mm, preferably 10 mm with respect to the posterior edge of the V-shaped front cutout of said first shell.

Thus, such a value of the shrinkage makes it possible to deform the module according to the shape and dimensions of a retro-capital element disposed in the bottom of a negative matrix. This withdrawal then makes it possible to insert such an element from the level of about a third posterior of the medial metatarsals, and this to cover the range of usual sizes.

Advantageously, at least one of said first shell or second shell has a recess at the level of the heel area, to receive calcaneal plantar tuberosities. Such a recess may provide more flexibility to the heel support zone, it may be left free of any filling or it may be filled, partly or entirely, with a material having properties different from those of the material constituting the hulls. Support.

Preferably, said first shell has a first recess at the level of the heel area and said second shell has a second recess at the heel and the contours of said recesses are superimposed but with staggered edges. This provides more comfort in the heel seat during use and also during molding.

Advantageously, the contour of said second recess has the same shape, but dimensions less than the contour of said first recess. Preferably, said recesses are filled at least in part by a pad made of a damping material or shock absorber.

It would have been possible, of course, to make a second recess having a length of the periphery greater than that of the first recess and this in order to allow the insert of an absorbing material of greater thickness. However, it is preferred to make a second obviously whose periphery has a length less than that of the first obviously, as this promotes the maintenance of the insert inside the module and ensures better fixation during thermoforming.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, a third obviously is cut in the base so as to be coaxial with the two previous and also to have an offset of the edges of its periphery which follows the offset of the edges of the first two recesses. This makes it possible to fill the three recesses with a damping material and to make it appear through the base for greater comfort at the level of the heel support, while making it possible to improve the stability of the calcaneum after molding of the module.

Advantageously, the module of the invention comprises an element made of a loop-hook type fabric arranged so that it is salient at the lower face of said base. Preferably, said element is an insert disposed in a recess of the base, said recess being made at the heel.

Thus, such element fabric loop type hooks, which is tissue-type Velcro ®, preferably made integral with the damping element comprises hooks directed downward toward the sole of the shoe and is provided to cooperate with a complementary element made of a fabric of the same type whose loops are directed upwards towards the hooks of the first. This allows stable and effective attachment of the sole obtained from such a module, especially in the case of open shoes.

Preferably, said first shell is completed beyond the V-cut of its anterior edge by an anterior base, made of a material of different hardness, and having a rear edge complementary to said cut. This allows to associate a different density material to an existing base and thus accentuate the front-rear differentiation in terms of mechanical characteristics of the entire module.

Advantageously, at least one of said first shell or second shell has a first slot located substantially in the median portion of its outer edge and a second slot located substantially in the median portion of its inner edge.

These slots located in front of the heel on the first support shell and / or on the second support shell are arranged on either side of the longitudinal axis of the foot, respectively on the inner edge and on the outer edge of that (s) -ci to allow greater flexibility in torsion of the rear foot compared to the forefoot, while maintaining good plantar support. The articular axes concerned are known under the names of "Lisfranc" and "Chopart" and allow the foot to perform torsion movements along a longitudinal axis, which allows a good adaptation of the foot terrain relief, especially on uneven floors . In addition, these slots or cutouts make it possible to improve the adaptability of the molded sole to the more or less wide contour of a shoe.

Preferably, the module of the invention has at its outer edge a concavity located substantially opposite the styloid process, this concavity being associated with a projection located just behind, so as to confer greater stability to the back foot. Such stability of the foot, especially the calcaneus is thus obtained by the rise of the seat of the sole then formed in the shoe.

The object of the invention is also achieved with an orthopedic insole comprising a module of the invention.

According to the invention, the orthopedic module comprises a second shell 3 ( fig.1b ) rigid or semi-rigid for providing support to the orthopedic insole, having a substantially identical shape contour to that of the first, but having dimensions smaller than the first and being located in a preferred embodiment of the invention and as illustrated in the figures, between the lower base 2 and said first shell 11. This rigid or semi-rigid second shell 3 is made of heat-resistant resin or not, capable of flowing or not, for example a polyester resin or polyaramide, whose contour also corresponds to that of the shoe, and whose anterior edge 5 has a rounded V-shaped cutout, the end 7 of the inner branch is close to the first metatarsal neck, whose end 6 of the outer branch is located near the fifth pass metatarsal, and whose posterior edge 8 is substantially located in the vicinity of the posterior medium of the medial metatarsals; this shell is intended to strengthen the reinforcement and support function, including the arch, guide the foot during the course, while ensuring a correct and durable molding of the orthopedic insole, and strengthen the orthopedic corrections made.

Cet insert est collé sur la base inférieure 2 ou sur le revêtement 21.The first shell 11 further comprises a first recess 12 and the second shell 3 comprises a second recess 4, these recesses being made at the level of the heel area, to receive the calcaneal plantar tuberosities. These recesses 4.12 thus formed can be filled by an insert of corresponding shape, in particular a pad 20 ( Fig.1d ) made of a shock absorbing material or shock absorber, for example made of neoprene foam, PVC or polyurethane. This insert is glued on the lower base 2 or on the coating 21.

According to a variant of the invention, the first shell 11 is joined to an anterior base 19 ( Fig. first ) of complementary shape at its posterior edge to the V-cut 13 of the shell 11, and whose contour corresponds to that of the size of the shoe envisaged. It may nevertheless have a cut at its anterior edge corresponding to the anterior limit of the anterior heel. This anterior base 19 may be made of a damping material or of polyurethane foam, polyethylene or EVA. This anterior base is intended to fulfill a function complementary to that of the coating, and to possibly accentuate the fore / aft differentiation in terms of the mechanical characteristics of the sole or the orthopedic insole resulting from this module.

All these elements can be proposed in independent form, the chiropodist superimposing them on each other in the order of the lower base - shell - coating before proceeding to thermoforming the module thus constituted. In another alternative, these elements are pre-glued, and are in fact a single entity ready to be thermoformed. In yet another alternative, these elements these elements are pre-glued and thermoformed. Whatever the solution chosen, the contours of these three elements must be adjusted precisely.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the invention, and as better visible Figures 2 and 3b , the outline of the second shell 3 has a substantially identical shape to that of the first shell 11, but it has dimensions smaller than the first. Thus, there is an offset or withdrawal between the contour of the second shell 11 and that of the first shell 3 around the entire periphery thereof including that of its recess 4. This offset is intended to ensure greater comfort of the foot during molding, as well as during use, its dimensions being determined according to the thickness of the second shell 3. For example, for support shell thicknesses between 0.5 and 3 mm , the values of this shift or shrinkage are preferably between 0.5 and 7 mm all around, except at the front edge 8 of the second shell where this shift or shrinkage is greater, the latter being between 5 and 15 mm, preferably of the order of 10 mm to allow insertion of a medial retro capital element at this location.

The Figures 3a to 3d represent different phases of realization of a module of the invention from cut elements. The figure 3a illustrates the superposition between the lower base 2 and the second shell 3, the latter being positioned following pins 26 of the figure 1 at. The figure 3b illustrates a bottom view of the first shell 11 assembled with the second shell 3, and the figure 3c a view from above of this assembly before being positioned on the lower base 2, as shown in FIG. figure 3d , which is also done using the markers 26 of the figure 1a .

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the module thus formed has at the outer edge of the first shell 11 a concavity 17, respectively to that of the second shell 3 a concavity 9, located opposite the styloid process, these concavities being associated, the first with a projection 18, the second with a projection 10, located just behind these concavities, as can be observed on the Figures 1b and 1c . This provides greater stability to the hindfoot and in particular the calcaneus, by the rise of the seat of the sole then formed in the shoe.

The figure 4 illustrates a cross-sectional view of a module according to a variant of the invention, the view being made with a vertical plane containing the axis of the coaxial recesses 4 and 12. It is thus noted that the contours of said recesses 4, 12 are superimposed but with staggered edges to obtain more comfort at the heel seat during use and also during molding. According to this variant, the contour of the second recess 4 has the same shape, but dimensions less than the contour of the first obviously 12 to allow better holding in place and better bonding during thermoforming of a pad 20 made of a shock absorbing material or shock absorber which fills said recesses.

The figure 5a illustrates a first hull 11 and the figure 5b illustrates a second shell 3 belonging to a module made according to another embodiment of the invention. Thus, the first shell 11 has a first slot 25 located substantially in the median portion of its outer edge and a second slot 24 located substantially in the median portion of its inner edge and the second shell 3 has a first slot 23 located substantially in the middle portion of its outer edge and a second slot 22 located substantially in the middle portion of its inner edge. The contour of the slits 22 and 23 is shifted more recessed than that of the slits 24 and 25, respectively, to provide greater comfort to the foot during molding, as well as during use. These slots are located in front of the heel on the first support shell 11 and on the second support shell 3 are arranged on either side of the longitudinal axis of the foot to allow greater flexibility in torsion of the rear foot compared to the forefoot, while maintaining good foot support.

Different combinations of materials can be implemented in the context of the constitution of this module, depending on the desired distribution of rigidity characteristics of the hull.

The module thus obtained is then used by thermoforming, for example by molding or directly on foot. More specifically, the molding can be done on a tool-form; this will be the case most often modules or soles said "comfort", sold preformed. The molding can be done directly on the foot, usually in store or workshop; this will most often be the so-called "orthopedic" insole modules in the narrow sense of the term, which must be adapted to the particular morphology, even the pathological, of the foot. This does not exclude the possibility of making modules or soles called "comfort" directly molded on the foot, store.

Finishing operations and adaptation in the footwear can also be provided.

Furthermore, the module according to the invention also allows the establishment of orthopedic correction elements rigid or semi-rigid, or flexible, whose nature and location are determined by the podiatrist based on pathologies encountered. The establishment of these elements can be carried out in the following manner: the module being preheated to a suitable temperature, depending on the nature of the material which constitutes it, one or more convex shaped recesses are made within the first shell 11 and / or the second shell 3 and are then filled with a filling material of appropriate hardness. These elements can also be reported, in particular by gluing on the entity constituted by the lower base and the shell, the coating 21 then being bonded to this assembly thus produced.

According to another variant of the invention, the shell is itself made of a two-component composite material, combining a resin and a foam, for example polyurethane, or even a high density foam (EVA).

In the same way, the lower base 2 and the coating 21 may be composite, combining several foams of different densities, or even be made of a shock-absorbing material.

Other variants and embodiments of the invention may be envisaged without departing from the scope of its claims. Thus, other forms of prior cuts of shells 3 and 11 can be made, in particular of the type described in document FR 2782613 in the name of the plaintiff. It is also possible to reverse the positioning of the lower or upper shells relative to one another according to the type of sole, particularly "comfort" or "orthopedic" that is desired.
