Abstract

Bei einem Elektrodentragarm (1, 2, 3) für Lichtbogenöfen, der als, insbesondere kastenförmiges, Stahlhohlprofil (4, 5, 6) mit einer an seinem vorderen Ende angeordneten Elektrodenaufnahme (10, 11, 12) ausgebildet ist, wobei das Stahlhohlprofil (4, 5, 6) zumindest bereichsweise einen aus Kupfer als stromführendem Material hoher Leitfähigkeit gebildeten außenseitigen Wandungsbereich aufweist, soll eine Lösung geschaffen werden, die es ermöglicht, Elektrodentragarme für Lichtbogenöfen kostengünstiger und weniger aufwendig herzustellen. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass der Wandungsbereich als galvanische Kupferbeschichtung (7, 8, 9) auf das Stahlhohlprofil (4, 5, 6) aufgetragen ist.
