Abstract

The invention concerns a device for domestic use with a dual function, composed of a lighter/gas lighter (11) device and of a blower (12) provided with means for their reciprocal conjunction, facing either in the same direction or in opposite directions. The lighter/gas-lighter device (11) has a proper body (13) that incorporates the respective function elements (14), the blower (12) has a proper body (15), that incorporates a fan powered by an electric motor and has an exit for the air generated by said fan, and the conjunction means (20, 21) are on board said bodies (13, 15).

Description

  • This invention concerns a device for domestic use with a dual function.
  • In commerce both ignitable devices for domestic use, commonly known as gas lighters or lighters and also blowers to feed the fire are available. The ignitable/gas lighters devices can be of various kinds, piezoelectric, gas-lighters, therefore either at sparks or flame ignition. As regards to the blowers they are basically in the form of ventilators shaped to direct a flow of air towards the fire in order to stir it up. Both the lighters/gas lighters and the blowers are however distinct devices, both as regards to their function and manipulation, and are put away and always looked after separately.
  • One of the objects of the present invention is however to propose and provide a device in which a lighter/gas lighter and a blower are physically coupled as regards to their manipulation, repositioning and connected custody.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a device that integrates two different functions to be used according to needs.
  • A further object of the invention is to provide a device made up of two devices which however can be separated so that each one can be used autonomously, also.
  • These objects are achieved by a device according to at least claim 1, which will be described in greater detail by making reference to the enclosed indicative and not limiting drawings, in which:
    • Fig. 1 shows a side view of the device according to an example of construction, with the internal devices seen in transparency;
    • Fig. 2 shows another external view of the device in the direction of arrow A in Fig. 1;
    • Fig. 3 shows the two components of the device separated;
    • Fig. 4 shows an enlarged view of the circled detail in Fig. 3; and
    • Fig. 5 shows a view of the device according to another way of construction.
  • As shown, the device proposed is composed of a coupled lighter/gas lighter 11 and a blower 12, facing in the same or, preferably, in opposite directions.
  • The lighter/gas lighter 11 has a body of its own 13, which can have any shape. It can be both of the sparking or flame type and depending on this it will be provided with a corresponding and well known lighting system enclosed in said body and indicated generically by number 14.
  • The blower 12 has its own blower body 15 that terminates in an mouth 16 for the exit of the air. On the inside, said blower body 15 houses a fan17, preferably the axial type, powered by an electric motor 18 and positioned to take in air from the outside through openings 19 provided in the body 15 in order to generate a flow of air directly towards the mouth 16. The electric motor is powered by batteries 19 which can be the rechargeable type housed in said body.
  • The body 13 of the lighter/gas lighter 11 and the body 15 of the blower 12 are connected one to the other by means of complementary joints 20, 21 or 31.
  • In the example shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the lighter/gas lighter 11 and the blower 12 are in-line and facing in opposite directions and the joints 20, 21 are provided in the rear of their proper bodies 13, 15. In the example shown in Fig. 5, the lighter/gas lighter 11 and the blower 12 are facing again in opposite directions, but placed parallel and with lateral joints 31 positioned on contiguous sides of their proper bodies 13, 15.
  • The conjunction between the two devices 11, 12 can be permanent, but preferably it will be reversible. For example, when the two devices are in-line and as shown in particular in Figs. 3 and 4, the joints 20, 21 can be of the type with bayonet coupling without however excluding other ways of coupling using screws, snap fits, that is to say by using pressure according to known techniques. When, on the other hand, the two devices 11, 12 are side by side, the lateral conjunction resources 31 can be by sliding joint or under pressure.
  • In any case, when the two devices 11, 12 are connected by means of their bodies 13, 15, in-line as in Figs. 1 and 2 or in parallel as in Fig. 5, they form a unitary device that puts together two different functions. So, the device can be fully gripped and manipulated and used alternately in one case as a lighter/gas lighter and in the other as a blower to feed and revive the fire.
  • Advantageously, however, the two devices 11, 12 if and when they are separable can be used autonomously: the first individually as a lighter/gas lighter, and the second as a blower.
