Description

  • Our invention is related with a shock absorber system in crossbow, pneumatic and gas- pressured aiming guns, which prevent the aiming means and their components from being damaged by absorbing the effects such as backfire, bang, concussion etc resulting from conversion of static energy into kinetic energy in due course of shooting and which thus extend the shooting life span of the gun.
  • DE 3111081 A1 and FR 2817028 A1 describe such shock absorber systems for guns. FR 2817028 A1 further describes a stock binding box, a shock absorber member, a stock binding bush, a gun halter, a fixing screw, a shock absorber capped bush, a shock absorber rondel and a cylindrical bush. The crossbow, pneumatic and gas- pressured aiming guns are similar in terms of their functional systems.
  • In all of the three types, fixing spring is compressed by setting up gun mechanisms and static energy is provided by enabling the gun to be hold from its grip.
  • When pulled the trigger, the plunger is activated by the effect of compressed spring and static energy transforms into kinetic energy with the movement of the mechanism. The shooting will be achieved upon passing air pressure and gas pressure through the bullet. This is greater in energy crossbow aiming guns than in pneumatic and gas - pressured guns. The fixing spring in them are relatively bigger. In due course of shooting, the kinetic energy generated by the movements of the fixing spring and plunger has a number of adverse effects on the gun.
  • The backfire, bang and concussion caused by the energy lead the screws which join the iron components and the stock of the gun to become loose in time and fall down, and the shooting lifetime of the gun to decrease and aiming means and accessories on the gun (weapon sight, various optics, etc.,) to become unstable. Therefore, this has caused some problems in relation to targeting and users have complaint for these drawbacks.
  • It is object of the present invention to provide an opportunity to improve a shock absorber system in aiming air guns for solving these technical problems above - mentioned. This object is solved by a shock absorber system according to claim 1.
  • In the invention, by absorbing backfires and concussions created by the energy by the fasteners which do not exist in the previous guns in due course of shooting, the damages of the components and the accessories of the gun are prevented. With this system, the shooting lifetime of the gun will be extended, the screws will be prevented from getting loose and so the laxation and falling of the targeting means and accessories on the gun as a result of concussions will be avoided. Users are provided with the opportunity to make shooting without concussions and bangs.
  • The members forming the Shock Absorber System and their locations on the gun are described with their part numbers in the embodiments.
  • The Seven main parts forming the Shock Absorber System of the invention:
    1. a. Stock Binding Box
    2. b. Shock absorber member
    3. c. Stock Binding Bush
    4. d. Fixing screw
    5. e. Capped bush
    6. f. Shock absorber rondel
    7. g. Cylindrical bush
    a. Stock Binding Box:
  • Stock binding box (1) is provided by integrating a hollow cylindrical bush with a sheet iron material by welding them together.
  • It contains a shock absorber member (2), a stock binding bush (3) and a fixing screw (4). The shock absorber member (2) and Stock binding bush (3) fixed in it are passed through a hole (9) of the bush (3) of the stock binding box on the stock binding box. The fixing screw (4) is stabilized by pinning it on the fixing screw hole (10) of stock binding box (1).
  • As shown in Fig. 1, the stock binding box (1) is stabilized by welding it from the splice (8) of the gun pipe of the stock binding box (1) on the gun pipe. In due course of shooting, the shock absorber members spring and thus, cutting off the concussion.
  • b. The Shock absorber member
  • It is formed with a soft and elastic material with flexibility property. It is a cylindrical article with a hole (12) in it. It comprises a hole (13) wherein the fixing screw is passed. During assemblage, the portion which is represented by the number (11) is attached so as to pass through the hole with number (9) on the binding box. Owing to the flexibility property, it prevents the damage to be given to the gun components by absorbing the backfire, concussion and bangs as a result of the energy generated in due course of shooting and it extend the lifetime of the gun.
  • c. Stock Binding Bush
  • It is a cylindrical part (16) the two edges of which are tapped to bind the gun stock hereon. A socket (15) to fit the fixing screw (4) therein is included on it. The part represented by the number (14) is assembled to pass through the hole (12) on the shock absorber member.
  • d. Fixing screw
  • It is a fixing screw (4) for binding the three parts described above (stock binding box, shock absorber member and stock binding bush).
  • e. Capped bush
  • It is a shock absorber capped bush (6) which absorbs the concussions and bangs by being fitted on the halter (5). It is formed with a soft and elastic material with flexibility property. It is in the shape of capped bush. The part represented by the number (18) on it is assembled to pass through the assemblage hole (17) on the halter (5). (Fig. 10). Rear binding screw of the stock is passed through the hole (19) of the rear binding screw of the stock and the shock absorber capped bush (6) and thus the binding of the halter (5) and the stock to the gun is performed.
  • f. Shock absorber rondel
  • The shock absorber rondel (7) is assembled as to face the surface shock absorber represented by the number (21) hereon. The binding is provided as the rear binding screw is passed through the hole (20) of the rondel. The damage the screw will make on the shock absorber member will be avoided owing to this rondel (7).
  • g. Cylindrical bush
  • It is a cylindrical bush which has a hole in the middle thereof and the shock absorber member of which is made up of an elastic and soft material. It is attached on the gun so as to absorb the resulting concussions and the bangs
  • All these components are come together to form the "Shock Absorber System" in aiming guns. Thanks to this system, the backfires, concussions and bangs resulted from the kinetic energy generated in due course of shooting will be absorbed and minimized, therefore, the damage of these effects for the gun and its targeting apparatus and accessories (scope, etc.) will be avoided and the shooting life span of the gun will be extended and easy use of the gun will be provided by dissolving the complaints away.
  • The Shock Absorber System and the components to form the system will be described by the accompanying attachment of Figures.
  • Wherein:
    • Fig. 1 : The view of the Shock Absorber System and its components on the gun,
