Die Funktionsweise des obigen Einwurfschachtes 1 ist nun folgendermassen:

Einfuhrschlitz 10 eingeführt, um die Identität des Benutzers mittels des Lesegerätes festzustellen. Auf derAnzeige 9 kann der Benutzer seine Identifkationsnummer ablesen. Sodann kann derDeckel 3 mit demFusspedal 5 geöffnet werden und ein Müllsack in denEinwurfschacht 1 eingeworfen werden. Sobald der Müllsack eingeworfen worden ist, kann die Chipkarte wieder aus demEinfuhrschlitz 10 entnommen werden. Der Müllsack kommt nun auf die beidenKlappen 11 und 12 zu liegen, so dass derinnere Zylinder 7 durch das zusätzliche Gewicht des Müllsacks nach unten gedrückt wird. Mit den 17, 18 und 19 wird das Gewicht des Müllsacks gewogen und nach der Wägung werden dieDrucksensoren Klappen 11 und 12 mit demÖffnungsmechanismus 13 nach unten geschwenkt, so dass der Müllsack in den - hier nicht dargestellten - Untergrund-Container gelangt. Über eine - hier nicht dargestellte - elektronische Datenverarbeitung wird das Gewicht des eingeworfenen Müllsacks und die Identifikationsnummer des Benutzers registriert, und somit kann die Müllentsorgung dem Benutzer beispielsweise über eine monatliche Abrechnung belastet werden.
