- this electrical connection using the female electrical connector according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a reliable mechanical cooperation between the female electrical connector and the male electrical connector while achieving a reliable electrical cooperation between the female electrical connector and the male electrical connector.
- this electrical connection using the female electrical connector according to the invention is easy to manufacture, in particular by stamping / forming metal material. It is not expensive.
- FIG. figure 1 An embodiment of the female electrical connector 1 according to the invention is illustrated in FIG. figure 1 .
- This female electrical connector 2 has a distal portion of wiring C intended to be connected to an electrical cable and a proximal branch portion B.
- the female electrical connector 2 may have two (or more) proximal connection portions B and two (or more) distal wiring portions C each intended to be connected to an electrical cable or a distal portion C intended to to be connected to several electric cables.
- Each proximal branch portion B is then preferably with a retaining tab (s) and electrical connection tab (s) in accordance with the present invention.
- the distal portion of wiring C has a groove 8 for receiving the stripped end of the electrical cable.
- This groove has in cross section a substantially U-shaped whose wings can be folded towards the base to serve the end of the cable.
- the distal portion of wiring C has axial symmetry along an axis D which passes through the bottom of groove 8.
- the proximal branch portion B has an opening 26 having the general shape of a ring 28 which is here of circular inner shape and outer shape also circular concentric with the previous one, said ring being oriented along a central axis A.
- the proximal connection B also has an axial symmetry along an axis which here coincides with the axis D of the distal portion of wiring C.
- the opening 26 is not circular but has several faces, preferably even in order to maintain the symmetry in mechanical strength vis-à-vis the axis A and the D. axis
- the ring 28 of the proximal branch portion B is intended to cooperate with an appendage 40 of a male electrical connector 4 illustrated by way of example in FIG. figure 2 .
- This appendix 40 is oriented along a central axis T.
- Appendix 40 is for example a cylinder (or a tube) having an outside diameter less than the inside diameter d28 of the ring 28.
- f28 designates the outside diameter of the ring 28.
- the crown thus not coming directly into contact with said appendix, it may have an inner shape similar to that in cross section of the appendix and which thus follows the outer contour of the appendix or any shape. It may also have an outer shape similar to that in cross section of the appendix and which thus follows the outer contour of the appendix or any shape.
- the male connector 4 comprises in addition to the appendix 40 a base 41 with an outside diameter greater than the outside diameter of the appendix 40. It is through this base that the male connector 4 is electrically connected for example to a conductive surface of a glazed element.
- the appendix 40 may also be in the general shape of a cylindrical cone, with a part near the base 41 which is less wide than the part remote from the base 41.
- the angle ⁇ of the wall of the appendage 40 with respect to the base 41 can thus be slightly less than 90 °, such as for example 87 ° or 85 °.
- Appendix 40 may also have at least one flat face and thus have a truncated circular shape parallel to the base 41 in cross section.
- Appendix 40 may also have several flat faces and thus have a section parallel to the base 41 a shape of triangle, square, rectangle, rhombus, hexagon, octagon, pentagon, ...
- the cooperation between the female connector 2 and the male connector 4 to allow an electrical connection between the two connectors is effected by disposing the ring 28 around the appendix 40 so that their respective axes A and T merge into the space.
- the male connector 4 being for example welded to a conductive surface of a glass element such as a vehicle glazing, the translation of the ring 28 along the axis T such that the axis A of the ring 28 is merged with the T-axis thus makes it possible to thread the female connector 2 on the male connector 4.
- Each leg has a base which is physically attached to the crown and a head which is not physically attached to the crown but which is spaced apart from the crown and comes into contact with the said appendage during the cooperation.
- the width 31 of the base 31 of each pallet 30 is preferably at least 1.5 times, and preferably at least twice, smaller than the width 21 of the base 21. claws 20.
- the tabs are preferably even in number so as to maintain the axial symmetries along the axes A and D. It is then possible to produce on the one hand a gripper of claws on the using two claws diametrically opposite to the axis A and on the other hand a pallet clamp with two vanes diametrically opposite to the axis A.
- the heads 32 of the vanes 30 deviate in a centripetal direction relative to the axis A and the internal distance d32 between the heads 32 of two vanes diametrically opposed by relative to the axis A becomes substantially identical to the distance between the outer walls (here the outer diameter) d40 of the appendix 40.
- the heads 22 of the claws 20 deviate in a centripetal direction relative to the axis A and the inner distance d22 between the heads 22 of two claws diametrically opposite to the axis A becomes substantially identical to the distance between the outer walls (here the outer diameter) d40 of the appendix 40.
- the female electrical connector 2 illustrated in figure 1 has four claws 20 and two pallets 30.
- the legs of the same category are arranged vis-à-vis one to one diametrically opposite with respect to said axis A of the ring: there is therefore not in this face claw configuration with respect to the axis A of a palette, or vice versa.
- the height h20 is here substantially equal to half the height h3pet even slightly less than half of said height h30.
- the internal distance d22 here is equal to about 96.5% of the outside distance d40 and the inner distance d32 is equal to about 94.7% of the outside distance d40.
- the width 31 of the base 31 of the pallets is here about 2.5 times smaller than the width 21 of the base 21 of the claws.
- the radius r20 of the connection between the base 21 and the ring 11 is identical to the radius r30 of the connection between the base 31 and the ring 28; likewise, the thickness e20 of the material constituting the claws 20 is identical to the thickness e30 of the material constituting the pallets 30 and is identical to the thickness e28 of the ring 28: of the order of 0.5 mm.
- the base 21 of at least one claw has an extra thickness of material to make the connection of this claw (or these claws) with the stiffer ring, for example with a thickness e20 ⁇ 110% of e28, or e20 ⁇ 120% of e28 and / or on the other hand that the base 31 of at least one pallet (and preferably all the pallets) has a material thickness shrinkage to make the connection of this pallet (or pallets) with the more flexible crown, for example with a thickness e30 ⁇ 90% of e28, or e30 ⁇ 80% of e28.
- This solution also allows to obtain an average extraction force which is greater than the average insertion force while maintaining high reliability for the electrical connection.
- the internal distance between the heads 32 of two vanes 30 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A is less than the internal distance between the heads 22 of two claws 20 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A. This is possible because that the pallets 30 are more flexible than the claws 20.
- the internal distance between the heads 32 of two vanes 30 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A may also be substantially identical to the internal distance between the heads 22 of two claws 20 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A, but against , it is not conceivable that the internal distance between the heads 32 of two vanes 30 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A is greater than the internal distance between the heads 22 of two claws 20 diametrically opposite with respect to the axis AT.
- the axis D passes equidistantly between two bases 22 of the two claws 20 adjacent to the periphery of the ring 28.
- the claws 20 are only very slightly spaced during the passage of the circular appendix 40 because of their rigidity, but the pallets 30 are widely separated during the passage of the circular appendix 40 because of their flexibility.
- the figure 11 illustrates also another possible configuration for the positioning of the axis of the distal portion of wiring C, here called D '.
- the axis D passes to the center of the bases 32 of the two vanes 30 diametrically opposite to the axis A.
- figure 12 the configuration of the figure 11 is illustrated cooperating with an appendix 40 circular section to a flat face 42, that is to say a pan.
- This face 42 is made in such a way that its plane is parallel to the axis T of the appendix.
- the figure 13 illustrates a simpler configuration than that of the figure 9 .
- this configuration of the figure 13 there are only two claws 20 and two vanes 30, the two claws being diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A and the two vanes being diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A.
- the claws and the pallets are alternated around the periphery of the ring 28 so that the angle between a claw and an adjacent pallet on the periphery of the crown is always identical: of the order of 45 °.
- figure 14 the configuration of the figure 13 is illustrated cooperating with an appendix 40 parallelepipedal section and even more precisely rectangular, thus having 4 flat faces. These faces are made in such a way that they are all parallel to the axis T of the appendix.
- the figure 15 illustrates a more complex configuration than that of the figure 13 .
- this configuration of the figure 15 there are three claws 20 and three vanes 30 and the claws and the vanes are not diametrically opposed in pairs relative to the axis A.
- the claws 20 and the vanes 30 are distributed angularly so that the angle between all the claws 20 is always the same and the angle between the pallets 30 is always the same. It is further found that the claws and pallets are alternated around the periphery of the ring 28 so that the angle between a claw and an adjacent pallet on the periphery of the crown is always the same: of the order of 30 °.
- figure 16 the configuration of the figure 15 is illustrated cooperating with an appendage 40 with hexagonal section, thus having 6 flat faces. These faces are made in such a way that they are all parallel to the axis T of the appendix.
- the configuration of the figure 15 could also, for example, cooperate with an appendage 40 with triangular section, the three flat faces cooperating with the three pallets and the three claws cooperating pointwise with the three corners of the appendix.
- the figure 17 illustrates a more complex configuration than that of the figure 15 .
- this configuration of the figure 17 there are four claws 20 and four vanes 30 and the claws and the vanes are diametrically opposed two by two with respect to the axis A.
- the claws 20 and the pallets 30 are distributed angularly so that the angle between all the claws 20 is always the same and the angle between the pallets 30 is always the same. It is further found that the claws and pallets are alternated around the periphery of the ring 28 so that the angle between a claw and an adjacent pallet on the periphery of the crown is always identical: of the order of 22 , 5 °.
- figure 18 the configuration of the figure 17 is illustrated cooperating with an appendage 40 octagonal section, thus having 8 flat faces. These faces are made in such a way that they are all parallel to the axis T of the appendix.
- the configuration of the figure 17 could, for example, cooperate with an appendix 40 with a rectangular section, the four flat faces cooperating with the four pallets and four claws cooperating punctually with the four corners of the appendix.
- the electrical connection 1 is formed of a male electrical connector according to claim 10 and a female electrical connector which is not according to claim 1.
- the male electrical connector has two appendages 40, 40 'each oriented along a central axis T, T' and each appendix 40, 40 'has a flat face 42, 42'.
- the female electrical connector has two distal wiring portions C, C 'and two proximal connecting portions each having an opening having a generally ring-shaped 28, 28' and each oriented along a central axis A, A '.
- the distance S between the two flat faces 42, 42 ' is greater than the sum of the width l28, l28' of two rings 28, 28 '; this distance S is even greater than twice the sum of the widths l28, l28 '.
- the figure 19 illustrates also that the axes D, D 'of the distal wiring portion C, C' of the female electrical connector are not parallel and are oriented at the same angle ⁇ .
- the extraction force of the female electrical connector 2 of the male electrical connector 4 is here about 1.66 times greater than the insertion force of the female electrical connector 2 on the male electrical connector 4.
- Both the female electrical connector 2 and the male electrical connector 4 are made from an electrically conductive material, such as bronze CuSn9PH12.

Description
The invention relates to a female / male connection used for example for transmitting electrical power to a heating system of a glazing unit or to an antenna system of a glazing unit and in particular a vehicle glazing unit.
The female electrical connector usually has at least one distal portion of wiring intended to be connected to an electrical cable and at least one proximal branch portion having an opening having a generally crown shape oriented along a central axis, said ring being intended to cooperate with an appendage of a male electrical connector oriented along a central axis to allow electrical connection between the two connectors via a plurality of tabs connected to said ring, each tab having a base which is attached to the ring and a head which is spaced from the ring and which comes into contact with said appendage to effect the electrical connection.
The male electrical connector usually comprises at least one appendage oriented along a central axis, said male electrical connector being intended to cooperate with the female electrical connector previously presented.
Currently, the heated windows of vehicles and in particular the rear glasses are provided for their power supply with a pre-tinned connection and the electrical welding of the cable on the glazing is performed in advanced workshop, that is to say on the vehicle assembly and assembly line, by the car manufacturer.
This is not practical and there is a strong expectation of car manufacturers to be able to install directly in the bodyshell a window ready to be connected to the rest of the vehicle electrical system.
The glassblower then supplied to the car manufacturer of glazings comprising a male element fixed before the glazing and after assembly of the glazing in the bay of the bodywork, it is only necessary to clip a female connection element on the male element for connect the electrical elements of the glazing to the vehicle's wiring harness. The electrical connection to the surface of the glazing is thus carried out in an advanced workshop, by clipping.
This solution simplifies pre-assembly of the beam by an electrical connection clip and not welded.
It is thus no longer necessary to multiply the skills of the art of welding in the various advanced workshops, the electrical connection is made reliable, the risks of cleavage of the glazing are eliminated and it is possible to achieve a standardization of the link (which becomes the same for all functions): antenna, heating, opening control, stop light, ...
However, the electrical connection thus made by cooperation of these two connectors is not satisfactory because the decliping is too easy.
To measure the extraction force required to open a connection, it is possible to use a traction machine and to pull the electrical connection.
Tests carried out in the laboratory have shown that the average value of the insertion effort of the so-called "power" links for example for the heating is 56.5 N, but that the average value of the extraction effort of these power links is 64.2 N, which is very close.
It is preferable that the value of the pulling force is reasonable to allow the need to change the glazing without changing the female electrical connector, but such a small difference between the two opposing force values is not acceptable because it implies that the female connector may easily fall off the male connector.
It is certainly possible to drown the electrical connection in a plastic material, but then, it is no longer possible to change the glazing without changing the female connector: when the glazing is changed, it is also necessary to change the entire electrical connection, which of course increases the cost of replacement glazing.
The present invention intends to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by proposing a female electrical connector which has a mean extraction force which is greater than the average insertion force.
The present invention is based on a separate analysis of the various means necessary for the implementation of a female electrical connector of the type shown above and cooperating with a male electrical connector.
It is found that the means for maintaining the female electrical connector on the male electrical connector can be separated from the means necessary for the passage of current between the electrical connectors.
However, the flexibility of the means required for the passage of the current must be large to ensure that these means are permanently well pressed against the male electrical connector while the flexibility of the means for maintaining the female electrical connector on the male electrical connector must be in a lower proportion so that the extraction is not too easy.
The invention thus has, in its broadest sense, a female electrical connector according to
This female electrical connector is remarkable in that it comprises at least one (and preferably at least two) claw-shaped retaining tab (s) and at least one (and preferably at least two) lug tab (s). electrical connection in the form of pallets, the claw (s) having a base of a width greater than or equal to the width of its (or their) head and the (or) pallet (s) having a base of a width less than the width of the (or their) head.
Thus, the (or) pallet (s) of electrical connection is (or are) more flexible (s) than the claw (s) retained and it is possible to obtain an average extraction effort which is greater than the average insertion force while maintaining high reliability for the electrical connection.
The width of the head of at least one pallet (and preferably of all the pallets) is preferably at least 1.5 times, and more preferably at least twice, or even at least 2.5 times, more large than the width of the base of this pallet (or of these pallets).
The height of one (or more) pallet (s) considered from below the crown is preferably at least twice the height of one (or more) claw (s) considered from this same reference.
The tabs according to the invention also have, preferably, an identical thickness between them and constant from their base to their heads.
The height of one (or more) claw (s) considered from below the crown is preferably lower than the height of the appendage of the male electrical connector, said height of one (or more) claw ( s) being preferably still substantially equal to half of said height.
When the female electrical connector does not yet cooperate with said male electrical connector, the internal distance between the heads of two diametrically opposed pallets with respect to the axis A is preferably at least 90% of the distance between two outer walls of Appendix.
When the female electrical connector does not yet cooperate with said male electrical connector, the internal distance between the heads of two claws diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A is preferably at least 90% of the distance between two outer walls of Appendix.
A.This inner distance between the heads of two diametrically opposite pallets with respect to the axis A is, in a variant, smaller than the internal distance between the heads of two claws diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A.
When the female electrical connector cooperates with said male electrical connector, the head of at least one pallet (and preferably all pallets) is preferably in surface contact with said appendage of the male electrical connector while the head of at least one claw (and preferably all claws) is in line contact, even punctual, with said appendix.
This surface contact between each head of the pallets and the appendage is preferably between 1 mm 2 and 5 mm 2 , and preferably at least 1.5 mm 2 , or at least 2 mm 2 , or even at least 3mm 2 .
In a variant, the claws and the pallets are alternated on the periphery of the ring so that the angle between a claw and an adjacent pallet on the periphery of the ring is always identical and in particular of the order of 45 ° or of the order of 30 °, or of the order of 22.5 °.
An appendage of a male electrical connector capable of cooperating with the female connector according to the invention may be of completely circular outer section and thus have axial symmetry or may not have such axial symmetry and thus have a particular orientation: as such it may be circular outer section truncated at least once, or circular outer section truncated several times or be outer non-circular section with several sides or faces.
The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a female electrical connector according to the invention and a male electrical connector.
This male electrical connector may comprise at least one appendix comprising at least one flat face, or even several flat faces, that is to say one (or more) non-curved face (s), or flat face (s). (s).
In a particularly advantageous variant, this male electrical connector comprises at least two appendages each oriented along a central axis, each appendix comprises at least one flat face, the distance between two faces being greater than the sum of the width of two crowns.
The central axes of the appendages are preferably parallel to each other in space. Flat faces may not be parallel in space.
The invention also relates to the use of the female electrical connector according to the invention for making an electrical connection with a male electrical connector comprising at least one appendix, in particular with a male electrical connector positioned on a conductive surface of a glazed element, the extraction force of the electrical connector of the male electrical connector is preferably between 1.2 and 5 times and preferably at least 1.4 times, or at least 1.5 times greater than the insertion force of the connector Female electrical on the male electrical connector.
En outre l'effort d'insertion du connecteur électrique femelle sur le connecteur électrique mâle est, de préférence, d'au plus 60 N ou d'au plus 55 N et l'effort d'extraction du connecteur électrique femelle du connecteur électrique mâle est, de préférence, d'au moins 80 N, ou d'au moins 85 N voire d'au moins 90 N.In addition, the insertion force of the female electrical connector on the male electrical connector is preferably at most 60 N or at most 55 N and the extraction force of the electrical connector female of the male electrical connector is preferably at least 80 N, or at least 85 N or even at least 90 N.
The invention thus also relates to the electrical connection using the female electrical connector according to the invention and a male electrical connector for making an electrical connection, especially when the male connector is positioned on a conductive surface of a glazed element.
When a female electrical connector according to the invention cooperates with a male electrical connector, the or at least one plane face of the appendage of the male electrical connector preferably cooperate with a pallet of the female electrical connector.
Advantageously, this electrical connection using the female electrical connector according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a reliable mechanical cooperation between the female electrical connector and the male electrical connector while achieving a reliable electrical cooperation between the female electrical connector and the male electrical connector.
Advantageously, this electrical connection using the female electrical connector according to the invention is easy to manufacture, in particular by stamping / forming metal material. It is not expensive.

The female
The distal portion of wiring C has a
The distal portion of wiring C has axial symmetry along an axis D which passes through the bottom of
A.The proximal branch portion B has an
The proximal connection B also has an axial symmetry along an axis which here coincides with the axis D of the distal portion of wiring C.
The axes A and D are thus perpendicular.
It is quite possible to imagine that the
The crown thus not coming directly into contact with said appendix, it may have an inner shape similar to that in cross section of the appendix and which thus follows the outer contour of the appendix or any shape. It may also have an outer shape similar to that in cross section of the appendix and which thus follows the outer contour of the appendix or any shape.
The
The cooperation between the
However, this cooperation is such that the
Each leg has a base which is physically attached to the crown and a head which is not physically attached to the crown but which is spaced apart from the crown and comes into contact with the said appendage during the cooperation.
- at least one (or a plurality) claw-shaped retaining tab (s) 20, which has (or has each) an essential function of effecting the mechanical cooperation between the female connector and the male connector and
- at least one (or a plurality) pad-shaped connection tab (s) 30, which has (or has each) an essential function of providing the electrical connection between the female connector and the male connector.
- each
claw 20 having a base 21 with a width l21 greater than or equal to the width l22 of itshead 22, and - each
pallet 30 having abase 31 of a width L31 smaller than thewidth 132 of itshead 32.
However, these are not the only features attached to each leg category.
- the
head 22 is in linear contact N with theappendix 40 of the maleelectrical connector 4, as can be seen on thefigure 3 ; - the internal distance d22 (here the inside diameter), visible on the
figure 4 between theheads 22 of two claws diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A is at least 90% of the external width d40, that is to say the distance between the outer walls (here the outer diameter) of theappendix 40 when the femaleelectrical connector 2 does not cooperate with said maleelectrical connector 4; - the height h20 of each claw considered from below the ring 11 is less than the height h40 of the
appendix 40 of the male electrical connector.
figure 7 , entre les têtes 32 de deux palettes diamétralement opposées par rapport à l'axe A est au moins 90 % de la largeur extérieure d40 entre les parois extérieures (ici le diamètre extérieur) de l'appendice 40 lorsque le connecteur électrique femelle 2 ne coopère pas avec ledit connecteur électriquemale 4 ; - la hauteur h30 de chaque palette considérée à partir du dessous de la couronne 11 est sensiblement égale à la hauteur h40 de l'appendice 40 du connecteur électrique mâle ; ou en tout cas, il n'est pas nécessaire que la hauteur h30 soit supérieure à la hauteur h40 ;
- la hauteur h30 de chaque palette considérée à partir du dessous de la couronne 11 est au moins le double de la hauteur h20 des griffes 20 considérée à partir de cette même référence ;
- the
head 32 is in surface contact S, or even punctual, with saidappendix 40 of the maleelectrical connector 4, as can be seen on thefigure 6 ; - the inner distance d32 (here the inside diameter), visible on the
figure 7 between theheads 32 of two diametrically opposite pallets with respect to the axis A is at least 90% of the external width d40 between the outer walls (here the outside diameter) of theappendage 40 when the femaleelectrical connector 2 is not cooperating not with said maleelectrical connector 4; - the height h30 of each pallet considered from below the ring 11 is substantially equal to the height h40 of the
appendix 40 of the male electrical connector; or in any case, the height h30 need not be greater than the height h40;
- the height h30 of each pallet considered from below the crown 11 is at least twice the height h20 of the
claws 20 considered from this same reference; - the
width 132 of thehead 32 of each pallet is larger than thewidth 31 of thebase 31 of these pallets, as can be seen from FIG.figure 8 .
In the context of the invention, moreover, the
A.In addition, in each category of tabs, the tabs are preferably even in number so as to maintain the axial symmetries along the axes A and D. It is then possible to produce on the one hand a gripper of claws on the using two claws diametrically opposite to the axis A and on the other hand a pallet clamp with two vanes diametrically opposite to the axis A.

The legs of the same category are arranged vis-à-vis one to one diametrically opposite with respect to said axis A of the ring: there is therefore not in this face claw configuration with respect to the axis A of a palette, or vice versa.

(2 x 1,9 = 3,8 mm2).Thus, the surface contact S between each head 32 and the
(2 x 2 x 1,9 = 7,6 mm2).The total surface contact between all the
La hauteur h20 est ici sensiblement égale à la moitié de la hauteur h3pet même légèrement inférieure à la moitié de ladite hauteur h30.The height h20 is here substantially equal to half the height h3pet even slightly less than half of said height h30.
La distance intérieure d22 est ici égale à environ 96,5 % de la distance extérieure d40 et la distance intérieure d32 est égale à environ 94,7 % de la distance extérieure d40.The internal distance d22 here is equal to about 96.5% of the outside distance d40 and the inner distance d32 is equal to about 94.7% of the outside distance d40.
The
For reasons of ease of manufacture, the radius r20 of the connection between the base 21 and the ring 11 is identical to the radius r30 of the connection between the base 31 and the
However, regardless of the solution according to which, it could be envisaged on the one hand that the

A.The internal distance between the

It is further found that the claws and the pallets are alternated around the periphery of the
