Description

PORTE BLINDEE POUR UN HABITACLE BLINTED DOOR FOR A COCKPIT
Le domaine technique de l'invention est celui des portes ou ouvrants blindés et en particulier des portes blindées permettant d'obturer une ouverture d'un habitacle, par exemple d'un véhicule (ou d'un abri fixe) .The technical field of the invention is that of doors or armored doors and in particular armored doors for closing an opening of a passenger compartment, for example a vehicle (or a fixed shelter).
It is known to make armored doors associating at least one armor plate and a bearing structure comprising hinges and lock. However, despite the overprotection, the armored doors form a discontinuity on a shielded wall of a passenger compartment and they always constitute an area at which the protection is weakened. Indeed, when an improvised explosive device is initiated nearby, the door is deformed. Hinges and fasteners are destroyed. Part of the door may be projected inside the cabin while the rebound effect may cause the door to be ejected outward after the explosion. The invention aims to provide a structure to enhance the strength of a door or opening and thus reduce the risk of projection of this element to the interior of a passenger compartment.
Thus, the subject of the invention is an armored door for a passenger compartment of a vehicle or of a fixed shelter, a door intended to close off an opening of the passenger compartment and comprising a structure outside of which is fixed at least one armor plate, door characterized in that the armor plate is fixed at a distance from the structure and separated from the latter by first deformable intermediate means that can absorb a part of the energy of a shock, the armor plate having by moreover dimensions greater than that of the structure and the second intermediate means deformable being interposed between the edge of the armor plate and a wall of the passenger compartment surrounding the opening.
The first deformable intermediate means are preferably arranged at a peripheral zone of the door structure, a free space being arranged between the armor plate and structured to allow deformation of the plate without impact on the structure.
Alternativement, les seconds moyens intermédiaires déformables peuvent être solidaires de la paroi de 1 ' habitacle .The second deformable intermediate means may be integral with the armor plate. Alternatively, the second deformable intermediate means may be integral with the wall of the passenger compartment.
The first and second deformable intermediate means are preferably made in the form of metal foam blocks.
The metal foam will for example be an aluminum foam.
The invention will be better understood on reading the following description of a particular embodiment, a description given with reference to the appended drawings and in which:
- la figure 1 montre un véhicule blindé léger comportant une porte latérale blindée,FIG. 1 shows a light armored vehicle having an armored side door,
- la figure 2 est une vue en coupe de la porte et des parois du véhicule, coupe réalisée suivant le plan dont la trace AA est repérée à la figure 1,FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the door and the walls of the vehicle, cut along the plane whose track AA is marked in FIG. 1;
The interior of the cabin is accessible by a door 5. The outer wall of the cabin carries overprotections made in the form of shielding plates 6 which are fixed to the wall of the cabin 2.
The door 5 is also reinforced by a shielding plate 12.
La figure 2 permet de préciser la structure de la porte selon l'invention et sa coopération avec la cabine 2.FIG. 2 makes it possible to specify the structure of the door according to the invention and its cooperation with the cabin 2.
The wall 8 of the cabin is covered with shielding plates 6. The latter are fixed to the wall by means of screws (of which only the axis 11 is shown). The wall has an opening 10 which is closed by the door 5.
The door 5 comprises a structure 7 which is hingedly mounted on a wall 8 of the cabin 2. The hinge 9 of the door is shown schematically here. It comprises several rods defined so as to ensure the desired opening movement taking into account the relative thicknesses of the door 5 and the wall 8 carrying the shields 6.
A shielding plate 12 is fixed to the structure 7 of the door 5 by screws (of which only the axis 13 has been shown).
It will be noted in FIG. 2 that the shielding plate 12 is fixed at a distance from the structure 7 and that it is separated from the latter by first intermediate means 14 which are deformable and can absorb a portion of the energy of a shock received by the armor plate 12.
These intermediate means 14 are preferably made in the form of blocks of metal foam and in particular of aluminum foam. Such a material ensures the rigidity of the connection during the normal use phases of the vehicle. However, it allows significant deformation during an impact and thus ensures absorption of the energy received.
Un rebord R de la plaque de blindage 12 déborde ainsi de la structure 7 et vient en appui sur des seconds moyens intermédiaires 15 également déformables .Note also in Figure 2 that the shield plate 12 has dimensions that are greater than those of the structure 7. A rim R of the armor plate 12 thus overflows the structure 7 and bears on second intermediate means 15 also deformable.
These second intermediate means 15 are thus interposed between the rim R of the armor plate 12 and the wall 8 of the passenger compartment which surrounds the opening 10.
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the second intermediate means 15 are also interposed between the armor plates 6 and the walls 8 of the cabin. These intermediate means 15 are also preferably made in the form of metal foam blocks such as aluminum foam.
Thus when the door 5 is closed the internal face of its structure 7 comes into contact with the periphery of the opening 10. A seal 16 secured to the door comes into contact with the wall 8. At the same time, the edge R of the shielding plate 12 integral with the structure 7 abuts against the second intermediate means 15.
It can be seen in FIG. 3 that the first intermediate means 14 are made in the form of four parallelepipedal blocks which are arranged at a peripheral zone of the structure 7. The blocks 14 are thus parallel to the sides of the armor plate 12 .
Il subsiste ainsi à l'intérieur de la porte 5, entre la structure interneThere is therefore a median area 17 of the door at which there is no damping material. It thus remains inside the door 5, between the internal structure
This free space allows to allow deformation of the plate 12 under the effect of the blast of an explosion. This deformation occurs without any impact of the plate 12 on the structure 7. Such an arrangement makes it possible to consume a portion of the energy of the shock by the deformation of the plate without the destruction of the structure 7.
The latter can also be deformed without impacting the wall 8 of the cabin and a free space 19 (see FIG. 3) is arranged between the armor plates 6 and the wall 8.
In accordance with the invention, the flanges R of the shielding plate 12 of the door 5 bear against the compressible blocks of the second intermediate means 15. Thus, the mechanical force generated by the explosion will be transmitted by the armor plate 12. firstly to the first intermediate means 14 and secondly to the second intermediate means 15. The latter themselves being supported on the wall 8, the latter recovers most of the forces received, thereby relieving the structure 7 of the door. There is no longer any protection discontinuity despite the presence of the door. This avoids the destruction of hinges and locks and the projection of parts of the structure towards the interior of the cabin.
On a représenté, sur les figures 2 et 3 un mode de réalisation dans lequel les blocs compressibles 15 des seconds moyens intermédiaires étaient solidaires des plaques de blindage 6 et de la cabine 8.FIGS. 2 and 3 show an embodiment in which the compressible blocks 15 of the second intermediate means were integral with the armor plates 6 and the cabin 8.
On prévoit alors d'autres blocs compressibles 18 gui sont interposés entre les plaques de blindage fixes 6 et la paroi 8 de la cabine.FIG. 4 shows another embodiment in which the compressible blocks 15 are integral with the shielding plate 12 fixed to the structure 7 of the door 5. These blocks are fixed for example by gluing. They bear against the wall 8 of the cabin when closing the door. Other compressible blocks are then provided 18 which are interposed between the fixed shielding plates 6 and the wall 8 of the cabin.
Alternatively, it will be possible to realize the first and second deformable intermediate means (14 and 15) in the form of a foam of another metal or in the form of blocks or deformable boxes.
Alternatively, and regardless of the protection adopted for the doors or doors, it is possible to implement to protect a cabin or a vehicle only a shielding structure as described above with reference to Figure 4 and in which we develop a free space 19 between an outer shielding plate 6 and an inner wall 8. Deformable intermediate means 18 are then disposed at a peripheral zone of the shielding plate 6, the free space 19 thus arranged making it possible to authorize a deformation of the armor plate without impact on the inner wall.
