Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung eines Ölfüllstandes in der Ölwanne eines Verbrennungsmotors beim Start-Stopp-Betrieb, bei dem von einem Sensor ein Ölfüllstand OA erfasst, von einem Steuergerät der gemessene Ölfüllstand OA hinsichtlich des Unterschreitens eines von der Viskosität des Öls abhängigen minimal zulässigen Ölstandskennwerts OM und eines errechneten Ölstandskennwerts OK bewertet (11) und in Abhängigkeit der Bewertung eine Warneinrichtung aktiviert wird, wobei bei der Berechnung des Ölstandskennwerts OK die Zeitdauer seit Start ZB oder die Zeitdauer seit Stopp ZP des Verbrennungsmotors berücksichtigt wird.
