Abstract

A control system (46) to stabilize operation of a Fourier Domain Mode Locking (FDML) laser by controlling FDML parameters, the control system characterized by a detector (D) configured to receive a periodically wavelength-swept light field from a laser output from the FDML laser and to determine a measured parameter, a feedback system in communication with the detector, the feedback system configured to generate an error signal, based on the measured parameter, to adjust control parameters of operation of the FDML laser as a function of the error signal
