Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de codage de contenus vidéo interactifs à faible latence au moyen d'un codage inter-images. Par exemple, un mode de réalisation d'un procédé assisté par ordinateur d'exécution d'une compression vidéo consiste à subdiviser logiquement chaque image d'une séquence d'images en une pluralité de pavés, chaque pavé possédant une position définie à l'intérieur de chaque image de la séquence d'images, la position définie demeurant la même parmi les images successives, à détecter un mouvement dans la séquence d'images se produisant à chacune des positions de chaque pavé, et à coder chaque pavé à l'intérieur de chaque image de la séquence d'images au moyen d'un premier format de compression ou d'un second format de compression, la fréquence à laquelle un pavé particulier est codé selon le premier format de compression sur la séquence d'images étant fondée sur la quantité de mouvement détectée à la position de ce pavé dans la séquence d'images.
