Abstract

Disclosed is a wind turbine (10) forming part of a wind turbine system. The system provides noise control. The wind turbine (10) includes at least one blade (24) and a controller (40) configured for adjusting an operating parameter of the wind turbine system in response to receiving a noise control signal related to an external condition. The noise control signal indicates whether the external condition is at or above a predetermined level. The wind turbine system (10) is configured to operate in a noise control mode in response to the controller (40) receiving the noise control signal.
