Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a joint profile, which is particularly suitable for filling or bridging joints between building surfaces. Such a joint profile has two profile cross-section V-shaped insertion leg, which are einsekbar when installed in the material joint. At their inner ends of the insertion legs are connected by a land bridge. At their outer ends, the insertion legs each carry a connecting portion, which is angled relative to the insertion leg in the direction of the adjacent building surface.
In buildings targeted joints are formed between building surfaces of the same or different materials, for example, to compensate for the temperature-dependent expansion behavior. Joint profiles are used to close or bridging such joints, depending on the application situation different joint widths and possibly also height differences between adjacent building areas must be compensated. In the floor area, joint profiles should be permanently elastic in order to be able to compensate for a changing joint width. At the same time, the joint profiles must withstand high pressure forces, since the building surfaces and the installed joint profiles are run over, for example, in commercial buildings with high loads.

The object of the present invention is to provide an improved joint profile, which is easy to manufacture and can be used for a wide variety of construction projects. In particular, it should be possible to adapt the joint profile at the site with minimal effort to the width and design of the joint. It is also an object of the invention to provide a joint profile which withstands both high compressive forces and permits the production of permanently elastic joints.
This object is achieved by a joint profile, which in each case in the longitudinal direction of the two V-shaped insertion leg, the two connection sections and also the bottom web each having at least one elongated groove. This groove acts as a joint line and / or predetermined breaking line for the respective profile surface.
The groove in the bottom land allows in a wide range to vary the included between the V-shaped insert legs angle to adapt the joint profile thereby to different joint widths. The adjustment range of the joint profile, based on the joint width, thereby ranges from about twice the thickness of a Einsetzschenkels to several times this thickness, for example, five to ten times. In addition, the groove in the bottom web allows to break the joint profile without tools along this groove into two equal parts, whereby the joint profile can also be used as a one-sided edge termination or in the area of T-shaped joint crossings.
The grooves running in the longitudinal direction of the insertion leg allow on the one hand an angling of the insertion legs, whereby the joint profile can be used in construction constructions that taper strongly downwards and at the same time can bridge a large joint width on the surface. On the other hand, it is possible to separate the lower portion of the joint profile along the grooves running in the insertion legs without the aid of tools, e.g. to use the joint profile in flat joints. Finally, it allows the running in the connecting sections grooves to adapt the joint profile to different levels of design of the building surfaces and easily connect various floor coverings to the joint profile.
Preferred embodiments of the invention are u. a. specified in the dependent claims 2 to 6 and 11.
In a preferred embodiment of the joint profile limiting webs are attached to one or both insertion legs, which extend in the longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the grooves and project into the free cross section between the insertion legs. These limiting webs can form a stop for grout to be introduced between the insertion legs or a joint tape to be inserted. It is also possible to provide several boundary webs at different heights on the insertion leg. A modified embodiment of the joint profile has on one or both insertion legs a plurality of longitudinally extending grooves at different heights. This further increases the variability of the joint profile, since it can be easily adapted to different joint depths, for example.
A preferred embodiment is characterized in that the free longitudinal edges of the two connection surfaces wedge-shaped leak. This facilitates the connection to appropriate floor coverings and avoids abutting edges that would lead to undesirable displacement forces on the joint profile when driving over the joint profile.
The joint profile according to the invention is preferably made of plastic. Extrusion processes are suitable for the production. Other materials and manufacturing methods are also conceivable. For example, the joint profile can be made of light metal.

- a cross-sectional view of the joint profile.

Fig. 1 shows a joint profile according to the invention in a perspective view. The joint profile extends in a longitudinal direction and is produced for example in lengths of 1, 2 or 3 m. -
Fig. 2 shows the joint profile in an enlarged cross-sectional view, from which the details of the profile can be better seen. The joint profile has two opposite Einsetzschenkel 1, which form the V-shaped portion of the joint profile, which is used when installed in a building joint. At its inner end, the two insertion legs 1 are connected by a bottom web 2. At the outside Each insertion leg 1 carries a connection surface 3, which is angled relative to the insertion leg in the direction of the building surface. When installed, the undersides of the connection surfaces 3 at least partially come to rest on the adjacent building surfaces, so that they lie essentially in one plane.
At the sides of the insertion legs directed towards the building surfaces or joint walls, first grooves 4 each extend in the longitudinal direction, which for example are V-shaped, wedge-shaped or rectangular in cross-section. The first grooves 4 allow the sections of the insertion legs located above and below the grooves to be bent relative to one another, for example, in order to adapt the joint profile to groove cross sections which taper greatly downwards. The two insertion leg 1 can be deformed independently. It is also possible to completely separate the lower portion of the insert legs, including the bottom web 2, from the upper portions of the insert legs by breaking this section. Tool is not required if the grooves are deeply enough incorporated in the material of the insertion leg. When installing the joint profile this can thus be easily adapted to the building joint to be closed.

A second groove 5 extends in the longitudinal direction in the bottom web 2. Initially, this preferably V-shaped second groove 5 acts as a joint, so that the free cross section between the Einsetzschenkeln 1 can be easily adapted to the width of the building gap. However, the second groove 5 can also serve as a predetermined breaking point to separate the two insertion legs 1 from each other. The profile halves can then be used advantageously as edge termination or in the area of joint crossings.
In the two connection surfaces 3 extend in the longitudinal direction third grooves 6, which are e.g. wedge-shaped. The third grooves 6 provide a surface profiling, by which the grip of the pads 3 is increased. Along the third grooves 6, the outwardly facing portion of the pads 3 may be broken off to reduce the pad width and provide a terminal edge substantially perpendicular to the pad which may, for example, form the transition to a few millimeters thick pad. Alternatively, a wedge-shaped expiring free longitudinal edge 7 allow the bumpless connection to other floor coverings.
It is advantageous if the angle α between the insertion leg 1 and the connection surface 3 is designed at an acute angle, for example in the range between 80 ° and 89 °. This ensures that the connection surfaces 3 with their outer longitudinal edges rest securely on the building surfaces and no gaps remain to the building surface. The intrinsic elasticity of the profile material allows a small deformation in the transition region between the connection surface and insertion leg, so that the connection surface placed almost flat on the building surface and there, for example can be glued. For a particularly simple assembly, an adhesive material may be applied on the underside of the connection surfaces, for example in the form of a double-sided adhesive tape.
On the insides of Einsetzschenkel 1 in the illustrated embodiment extending longitudinally limiting rods 8 are mounted, for example, above the first grooves 4. The limiting rods 8 serve, for example, the holder of an inserted joint strip 9. The joint band 9 is in the free cross section between the Einsetzschenkeln. 1 introduced before or after the joint profile was inserted into the building joint. Subsequently, the remaining upper free area between the two Einsetzschenkeln be filled with an
