Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a sewing thread cone, and more particularly to a sewing thread cone with thread locking and cutting functions.
- A traditional sewing thread cone has only thread winding and supplying functions. It cannot fix an end of a thread when storing the thread, which tends to result in winding of ends of a thread agglomerate each time the sewing thread cone is used again, thus causing wastes of material and time. Although now there has developed a sewing thread cone with one clipping notch on the edge of an outer shaft of the sewing thread cone, which can solve the above-mentioned thread end winding problem to some extent. Meanwhile, however, the clipping notch on edge of the thread cone tends to shave off a sewing thread in use by chance, and the thread cone further has to pull or shear off the thread end, which making the operation of the thread cone inconvenient for users.

- To resolve the technical problem mentioned above, the present invention provides a sewing thread cone with thread locking and cutting functions, which comprises a bobbin, and further comprises a thread-cutting plate arranged on an end plane of the bobbin, wherein, the bobbin comprises a thread-passing notch arranged at the end where the thread-cutting plate arranged, and the thread-cutting plate comprises a first and a second bayonet sockets separated from each other; the first bayonet socket cooperating with the thread-passing notch to produce a tension in a thread, and the second bayonet socket is used for cutting the thread and fixing the thread end.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, the bobbin comprises a winding spool and an outer shaft that connected at one end with the winding spool, and the thread-passing notch is positioned on the edge of the end of the outer shaft far away from the winding spool.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, the outer shaft is in a cylinder form, and comprises a support ring and at least one fixing pillar, wherein the support ring extends along the inner wall of the cylinder in a ring form and protrudes towards the axis of the cylinder; said fixing pillar is positioned on the inner wall of the cylinder above the support ring, and protrudes towards the axis of the cylinder too, the fixing pillar is perpendicular to the support ring.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, said thread-cutting plate is in a ring form, and its outer edge comprises at least one fixing notch matching with the fixing pillar and fixing the thread-cutting plate at the outer shaft.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, when the thread-cutting plate is arranged on the outer shaft, the thread-passing notch is positioned between the first bayonet socket and the second bayonet socket.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, the first bayonet socket and the second bayonet socket comprises punched convexes in a partly circle, oval or polygon form on the thread-cutting plate.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, the convexes of the first and second bayonet sockets are in opposite directions.
- In the sewing thread cone of present invention, the thread-passing notch comprises a notch formed by an obtuse-angled bevel and an acute-angled bevel
- The following advantages can be obtained by implementing the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions of the present invention: since the thread cone is provided with the thread-passing notch on the edge of the outer shaft, and the thread-cutting plate comprises the first and the second bayonet sockets that can make the sewing thread tensioned and be cut off, the thread cone can perform a thread-cutting action.
- The present invention will be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments hereinafter, in the accompanying drawings:

Figure.1 is a structural schematic view of a first embodiment of the sewing thread cone with thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention; -
Figure 2 is a structural schematic view of the bobbin in the first embodiment of the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention; -
Figure 3 is a schematic view of relationship between positions of the sewing thread and the thread-cutting plate in the first embodiment of the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention; -
Figure 4 is a top view of the thread cone in the first embodiment of the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention; -
Figure 5 is a top view of the thread cone of a second embodiment of the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention; and -
Figure 6 is a top view of the thread cone of a third embodiment of the sewing thread cone with the thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention. - As shown in
Fig. 1 and Fig.2 , the sewing thread cone in the first embodiment of the sewing thread cone with thread locking and cutting functions according to the present invention comprises the bobbin 1 and the thread-cutting plate 2. Wherein the bobbin 1 further comprises awinding spool 11 and anouter shaft 12 that in a cylinder form and having a bottom, and connected with thewinding spool 11 at an end. There is provided with a thread-passingnotch 13 on the edge of the end of theouter shaft 12 which is close to the thread-cutting plate 2. The thread-passingnotch 13 comprises two bevels tilting from top surface of theouter shaft 12 toward thewinding spool 11, one being an acute-angled bevel while the other being an obtuse-angled bevel. The said acute-angled bevel forms an acute angle together with the ring where the lowest point of the thread-passingnotch 13 is positioned. Similarly, said obtuse-angled bevel forms an obtuse angle with the ring where the lowest point of the thread-passingnotch 13 is positioned. The bottom of the cylinder is connected with thewinding spool 11, and the end closed to the thread-cutting plate 2 is its top surface. On the surface of the inner wall of the cylindricalouter shaft 12, asupport ring 16 is provided. Thesupport ring 16 is positioned on the surface of the inner wall of theouter shaft 12 and protrudes toward the circle center of the surface of the inner wall of theouter shaft 12. And the top surface of thesupport ring 16 is lower than that of theouter shaft 11, so as to facilitate installation of the thread-cutting plate 2 and make the thread-cutting plate 2 substantially align with the top surface of theouter shaft 12. In order to fix the thread-cutting plate 2 substantially, a plurality offixing pillars 15 are further arranged on the surface of the inner wall of theouter shaft 11. In the first embodiment, there are threefixing pillars 15 arranged on the inner wall of theouter shaft 12 above thesupport ring 16, and protrude toward the axis of the cylinder. Thefixing pillar 15 is perpendicular to thesupport ring 16 and positioned at different locations of thesupport ring 16. - In the first embodiment, the thread-
cutting plate 2 includes afirst bayonet socket 22, asecond bayonet socket 23 and afixing notch 21, and is punched from a metal sheet. Since there are threefixing pillars 15 on theouter shaft 11 in the first embodiment, the thread-cutting plate 2 also comprises threefixing notches 21 whose positions correspond to those of the threefixing pillars 15. These above mentionedfixing notches 21 are located at the edge of the thread-cutting plate 2, with sizes corresponding to those of the parts of thefixing pillars 15 beyond thesupport ring 16, so as to facilitate embedment of the thread-cutting plate 2 into theouter shaft 12 and fixation of the thread-cutting plate 2 in theouter shaft 12 by thesupport ring 16 and thefixing pillar 15. When the thread-cutting plate 2 is inserted into theouter shaft 12, the thread-passingnotch 13 is positioned between thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23, which is realized by cooperation among positions of thefixing notch 21 and fixingpillar 15, the position of the thread-passingnotch 13 as well as the positions of thefirst bayonet socket 22 andsecond bayonet socket 23. In the first embodiment, thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23 are punched on the thread-cutting plate 2, both being in an oval form not punched off, that is, when being punched, only a large part of the oval is separated from the thread-cutting plate 2, while the remaining part of the oval is still connected with the thread-cutting plate 2. Thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23 will be obtained by pulling up the part of the oval separated from the thread-cutting plate 2. For thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23, their parts separated from the thread-cutting plate 2 (i.e. their convex parts) are in opposite directions when viewed from top of the thread-cutting plate 2 , e.g. one separated part is on the left while the other one on the right, as shown inFig.4 . Of course, thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23 can also be in a circle or polygon form in actual applications. - In the first embodiment, as shown in
Fig.3 , when using the thread cone, the sewing thread winded around the thread cone, after passing through the thread-passingnotch 13, wines through thefirst bayonet socket 22 and changes direction, then passes through thesecond bayonet socket 23, thus the user can pull and cut off the end of sewing thread. During the above process, saidfirst bayonet socket 22 is used for tensioning the sewing thread, making a tension produced in the thread, and thesecond bayonet socket 23 is used for cutting off an end of the tensioned thread when the thread cone rotates and then fixing the new end of the thread. - The
Fig.5 and Fig.6 are the top views of the thread cone of a second embodiment and a third embodiment of present invention respectively. The second embodiment and the third embodiment are the same with the first embodiment, except that the structure of the thread-cutting plate 2 is a little bit different. The difference between the thread-cutting plate 2 of the first embodiment and the thread-cutting plate 2 of the second embodiment is the position of thesecond bayonet socket 23, the position of thesecond bayonet socket 23 in the second embodiment is aiming at increasing the distance between thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23, so as to make it convenient for the users to pick up the thread end. Athird bayonet socket 25 is added in the third embodiment, which is far away from thefirst bayonet socket 22 and thesecond bayonet socket 23, then the sewing thread will pass through thefirst bayonet socket 22, thesecond bayonet socket 23 and thethird bayonet socket 25 in sequence, which is likewise aiming at facilitating picking up the thread end by the user. Obviously, before being used, the sewing thread can also pass through thefirst bayonet socket 22 firstly, and then thethird bayonet socket 25, and at last thesecond bayonet socket 23, it will receive the same effect.
Claims (6)
- A sewing thread cone with thread locking and cutting functions, comprising a bobbin (1) and, wherein further comprises a thread-cutting plate (2) arranged on an end plane of the bobbin (1);
wherein the thread-cutting plate (2) comprises a first bayonet socket (22) and a second bayonet socket (23) separated from each other, the first bayonet socket (22) cooperating with the thread-passing notch (13) to produce a tension in a thread, and the second bayonet socket (23) is used for cutting the thread and fixing the thread end;
characterized in that
the bobbin (1) comprises a thread-passing notch (13) arranged at the end where the thread-cutting plate (2) is arranged;
the bobbin (1) comprises a winding spool (11) and an outer shaft (12) that is connected at one end with the winding spool (11), and the thread-passing notch (13) is positioned on the edge of the end of the outer shaft (12) far away from the winding spool (11); and
the outer shaft (12) is in a cylinder form, and the outer shaft (12) comprises a support ring (16) and at least one fixing pillar (15), the support ring (16) extends along the inner wall of the cylinder in a ring form and protrudes towards the axis of the cylinder; said fixing pillar (15) is positioned on the inner wall of the cylinder above the support ring, and protrudes towards the axis of the cylinder too, and the fixing pillar (15) is perpendicular to the support ring (16). - The sewing thread cone according to claim 1, wherein, the thread-cutting plate (2) is in a ring form, and its outer edge comprises at least one fixing notch (21) matching with the fixing pillar (15) and fixing the thread-cutting plate at the outer shaft.
- The sewing thread cone according to claim 2, wherein, when the thread-cutting plate (2) is arranged on the outer shaft (12), the thread-passing notch (13) is positioned between the first bayonet socket (22) and the second bayonet socket (23).
- The sewing thread cone according to claim 3, wherein the first bayonet socket (22) and the second bayonet socket (23) comprises punched convexes in a partly circle, oval or polygon form on the thread-cutting plate.
- The sewing thread cone according to claim 4, wherein, the convexes of the first bayonet socket (22) and second bayonet socket (23) are in opposite directions.
- The sewing thread cone according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein, thread-passing notch (13) comprises a notch formed by an obtuse-angled bevel and an acute-angled bevel.
