- the mentioned protective enclosure (8) of batteries (9) will be accordingly fixed to the upper rear side edge of the mask through its own security strip, through which supply cables (7) will pass.
- the special configuration of the frontal mesh (1) which as the mask assembly's arrangement leaves a significant space for the fencer's face, it allows the implementation of the above mentioned fan (4) which is no obstacle nor physical interference with the fencer's physiology, allowing an air flow to be generated, cooling the fencer's face and reducing fatigue.
Abstract
The fencing mask this invention proposes includes an internal ventilation system which allows a significant reduction of the high temperature generated inside the mask.
For this aim it is proposed the use and combination of a flat helicoidally fan, placed on the upper inner zone of the mask's front mesh, with an accumulator and electrical switch, placed on the rear security strip of the mask, which, located this way, are able to accomplish this aim.
Description
- This invention refers to a mask which type is from the ones used in fencing sport.
- The purpose of this invention is to provide a mask equipped with a fan based ventilation system that allows the mask user to relieve fatigue, fatigue which is an effect of the heat caused by the mask use.
- This invention is related to the scope of fencing equipment.
- As it is known, fencing sport practice needs of protector jackets, gloves, weapons and, among others, masks to protect fencers face in front of opponent's actions.
- This type of masks, which for its own purpose, have a structure that causes certain heat, which gets boosted on when the seasonal heat breaks having a negative impact in fencer's fatigue and discomfort so that, in some occasions, because of environmental temperature, fencing practice can become extremely uncomfortable.
- The fencing mask this invention proposes solves in an acceptable way the issues above explained, thanks to the inclusion of an internal ventilation system which allows to significantly reducing fatigue of the user due to the heat that causes mask use.
- In that sense and in a more concrete way, basing in the conventional structure of this type of masks, to focus on my invention's features, let's point out the fact that in the upper frontal part in connection with the frontal mesh, a small electric fan is placed with no physical interference with the fencer's physiology in accordance with the special configuration of this type of masks. This fan is fixed in an appropriate way to the mesh to which supplying cables are connected through their own conduction line into an electric battery and attached to the back side of the mask, over a cover fixed to the mask. The battery is assisted by its own switch for the fan's turning on/off.
- Thus, thanks to the command of the corresponding switch, the fan will start up bringing fresh air in the mask and over the fencer's face reducing the heat caused by the mask and thus, lowering likewise his/her fatigue.
- In order to complement this description in course and to help a better comprehension of the invention features, in accordance with the description of the preferred embodiment, as a part of it, a set of figures is enclosed of an illustrative but non limitative nature, what follows has been depicted:
-
Figure 1 .- Shows a lateral elevation view of a fencing mask performed accordingly with the current invention's purpose. -
Figure 2 .- Shows a frontal elevation view of the previous figure -
Figure 3 .-Shows a back elevation view of the device's previous figures. - According to de related figures, it can be noticed how the proposed mask starts from the conventional structure of a fencing mask in which a frontal mesh (1) can be pointed out, which it's attached to the rest of the mask thanks to a boundary ring (2), and also including a neck guard (3) for neck protection's sake.
- Starting from this conventional structure, this invention mask focuses its features in the fact that on the upper zone of the mesh (1), and inside of it, a flat helicoidally fan is fixed (4), this fixation will rather be removable in order to ease maintenance or substitution duties, for which sticking stripes (5) of Velcro ® type have been provided and attached on to the frontal mesh's inside (1) and on the fan's base.
- Inside and lengthwise in the mask, a narrow conduction (6) is established so that fan (4) supplying cables (7) can pass through, placing a protective enclosure (8) in the rear side of the mask, made out from plastic material and dimensionally adequate to host electrical batteries or rechargeable batteries (9) set aside for supplying electrically the fan (4) through cables (7).
- The mentioned protective enclosure (8) of batteries (9) will be accordingly fixed to the upper rear side edge of the mask through its own security strip, through which supply cables (7) will pass.
- Lastly it can be mentioned that between the so called supplying cables (7) and the batteries (8) a switch (10) is enabled for the fan (4) turning on/off.
- Just as it has been previously pointed out, the special configuration of the frontal mesh (1) which as the mask assembly's arrangement leaves a significant space for the fencer's face, it allows the implementation of the above mentioned fan (4) which is no obstacle nor physical interference with the fencer's physiology, allowing an air flow to be generated, cooling the fencer's face and reducing fatigue.
Claims (4)
- a.- Fencing mask, starting from the conventional structure of fencing masks, in which a frontal mesh and a neck guard take part, characterizes itself by the fact that in the upper frontal part of the mentioned frontal mesh, a small electric fan is placed and supplied thanks to electric batteries/ rechargeable batteries placed into a cover or enclose fixed on the mask's rear side.
- a.-Fencing mask, as 1st claim vindicates, characterized by the electric fan of flat helicoidally type.
- a.-Fencing mask, as 1st claim vindicates, characterized by the fact that an electric fan is assisted by a on/off switch placed beside the battery.
- a.- Fencing mask, as 1st claim vindicates, characterized by the fact that the electric fan is fixed to its frontal mesh by means of adhesive strips Velcro ® type.
