Comme il a été dit, l'écran comporte soit des boutons de commande, soit une surface tactile ou un écran tactile transparent disposé sur la surface d'affichage. Il est préférable, dans la mesure où l'écran peut être utilisé comme tablette, que l'écran présente une certaine étanchéité à la poussière et aux liquides. L'écran comporte un bras support 22. Une des extrémités du bras est articulé au moyen d'une charnière 23, elle-même montée sur un chariot mobile 24. Le chariot est solidaire dudit rail et mobile en translation, entraînant l'écran entre une première position basse de rangement et une seconde position haute de l'écran. Dans l'exemple de réalisation, le chariot comporte trois galets d'entraînement situés de part et d'autre du rail. L'autre extrémité du bras est liée à l'écran 2 au moyen d'une rotule mécanique 25. L'écran peut comporter un cache 21 mobile comme représenté sur les figures 2 et 4 à 8. il peut également comporter des poignées 27 permettant de faciliter la manipulation de l'écran.
