Claims (5)

  1. An article of furniture comprising a movable furniture part (8) and a drive device (9), wherein the drive device (9) has:
    - a control or regulating device,
    - an electric motor for driving the furniture part (8), wherein the electric motor is triggerable by the control or regulating device,
    - a switching element (1) which has:
    • an interface or electric lines (7) by which the switching element (1) is connected to the control or regulating device,
    • an actuating element (3, 3a) mounted movably over a distance (S), wherein the furniture part (8) in its closed position bears against the actuating element (3, 3a) of the switching element (1), characterised in that the switching element (1) further has:
    • two switches (6a, 6b) which are switchable by the actuating element (3, 3a) and which are arranged along the predetermined distance (S) and the signals of which are fed to the interface or the electric lines (7), and
    • at least two force storage means (2a, 2b) for acting on the actuating element (3, 3a), of which at least one is in the form of a spring,
    wherein the number of the force storage means (2a, 2b) which act on the actuating element (3, 3a) changes at predetermined positions (S1, S2) on the distance (S) whereby the gradient of a characteristic curve (K1, K2) changes at said positions (S1, S2), of which positions (S1, S2) a position (S1, S2) within the distance is in the form of a switching point of the switching element (1) and wherein the drive device (9) is triggerable both by pushing the furniture part (8) further in out of the closed position to the switching point (S1, S2) and also by pulling on the furniture part (8) out of the closed position.
  2. A switching element according to claim 1 characterised in that the actuating element (3) has at least two parts (3a, 3b, 3c) which are mounted limitedly movably relative to each other, wherein one of the at least two force storage means (2a, 2b) is respectively arranged between a mounting location (4, 6) and one of the at least two parts (3a, 3b, 3c).
  3. A switching element according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the at least two force storage means (2a, 2b) have characteristic curves of differing gradient.
  4. A switching element according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the actuating element (3) and optionally at least one of the at least two parts (3a, 3b, 3c) is in the form of a pin.
  5. An article of furniture comprising a movable furniture part (8) and a drive device (9), wherein the drive device (9) has:
    - a control or regulating device,
    - an electric motor for driving the furniture part (8), wherein the electric motor is triggerable by the control or regulating device,
    - a switching element (1) which has:
    • an interface or electric lines (7) by which the switching element (1) is connected to the control or regulating device,
    • an actuating element (3, 3a) mounted movably over a distance (S) and is acted upon by a force storage means (2b),
    characterised in that the switching element (1) further has at least one element (15) arranged separately from the actuating element (3) and acted upon by at least one force storage means (2a),
    wherein in its closed position the furniture part (8) bears both against the actuating element (3) and also against at least one element (15) which are both in a first position,
    wherein upon an outward movement of the furniture part (8) by a user the actuating element (3) moves under the action of the at least one force storage means (2b) and said movement is detected and leads to triggering of the drive device, wherein the actuating element (3) is in a second position,
    wherein when the furniture part (8) is pushed to the maximum into the furniture body both the actuating element (3) and also the at least one element (15) move out of the first position into a third position, wherein in the transition into the third position the user must push in both the actuating element (3) and also the element (5) against the force of the respective force storage means (2a, 2b), in which case he notices a defined switching point (S).
