Abstract

Es wird eine Glühstiftkerze mit einem Gehäuse (11) vorgeschlagen, in dessen Längsbohrung (12) ein Glühstift (13) festgelegt ist. Das Widerstandselement (17) weist mindestens eine Verbindungsstelle (30) auf, die eine Schmelzsicherung für den elektrischen Stromkreis ausbildet. Die Verbindungsstelle (30) ist aus einem schmelzfähigen Material (33) ausgeführt, wobei die Schmelztemperatur des schmelzfähigen Materials (33) unterhalb der Schmelztemperatur des Materials des Glührohrs (14) liegt.
