Fig. 8 is an exploded view to show the baking member used in the electric oven of the present invention. - Referring to
Figs. 1 to 3 , theelectric oven 10 of the present invention comprises a rectangular body with an interior space defined therein and adoor 8 is pivotably connected to an open side of the body. A control panel is located at the front side of theoven 10. Atop heat tube 14 and abottom heat tube 15 are located in the body of theoven 10 and connected between theleft sidewall 18 and the right sidewall 19 (Fig. 7 ) of the body. A top opening is defined through a top of the body and located above thetop heat tube 14. Agriddle 11 is engaged with the top opening and acover 12 is mounted onto thegriddle 11. Thegriddle 11 can cook food by using thetop heat tube 14. Twosupport plates 13 are connected to the left andright sidewalls grooves 16, 161 (Fig. 7 ) are defined in the left andright sidewalls - A
rotatable heating member 20 is located at a mediate portion of the body and includes arotatable heat tube 21 which has one end extending through the body and connected with a driving unit. The driving unit is amotor 206 and anoperation lever 23, the user can use either of themotor 206 or theoperation lever 23 as needed. A rotary disk 203 is connected to therotatable heat tube 21 so that therotatable heat tube 21 is rotatable with the rotary disk 203. Therotatable heat tube 21 includes multiple bent sections so that therotatable heat tube 21 is an M-shaped heat tube. Twolimit switches limit switches - Referring to
Figs. 4 to 6 , twomotors 35 are connected to theleft sidewall 18 and theright sidewall 19 of the body of theoven 10 and multiple gears 351-344 are connected to the twomotors 35. Each gear 351-354 has aconnection tube 3531 which has a connection hole. Abaking member 30 is connected with the connection tube of one of the gears 351-354. - Referring to
Fig. 8 , thebaking member 30, for example, includes abaking tray 31 and ashaft 32 extends from thebaking tray 31 so as to be engaged with the connection hole of the connection tube of the gear. Afirst bevel gear 33 is located at a center of thebaking tray 31 and asecond bevel gear 321 is engaged with thefirst bevel gear 33 and connected to theshaft 32. Agrid 34 includes aprotrusion 341 extending from an underside thereof and thefirst bevel gear 33 includes arecess 331 in a top thereof, theprotrusion 341 is engaged with therecess 331. Thebaking tray 31 is supported on the twosupport plates 13 on the left andright sidewalls shaft 32 is rotated by thegear 351/352/353/354, thesecond bevel gear 321 drives thefirst bevel gear 33 which rotates thegrid 34 to let the food on thegrid 34 to be evenly heated. - As shown in
Fig. 6 , theconnection tube 3531 receives a first end of arod 41 and acontrol plate 421 is connected to therod 41 which is cooperated with aswitch 42. Afixed plate 421 is connected to a second end of therod 41. Aspring 44 is mounted to therod 41 and located between thecontrol plate 421 and thefixed plate 421. Therefore, when theshaft 32 is inserted into the connection hole of theconnection tube 3531, therod 41 is pushed and theconnection plate 421 activates thelimit switch 42 so that themotor 35 rotates thegear 353 to rotate thegrid 34. When theshaft 32 is pulled out from the connection hole of theconnection tube 3531, thespring 44 pushes theconnection plate 421 together with therod 41 so that thelimit switch 42 is de-activated so that themotor 35 stops. In this embodiment, there are four gears 351-354 so that fourbaking members 30 can be respectively connected to the gears 351-354. - As shown in
Fig. 7 , when using thetop heat tube 14 to cook food in thegriddle 11, adebris connection tray 17 can be slidably engaged with thegrooves - Referring to
Fig. 3 again, the twolimit switches control switch 207 is located on the control panel and controls themotor 206 to rotate therotatable heat tube 21 clockwise or counter clockwise. When therotatable heat tube 21 is rotated by either using themotor 206 or theoperation lever 23 to the horizontal position, thelimit switch 24 at the horizontal position is touched to stop themotor 206 and activate therotatable heat tube 21. Similarly, when therotatable heat tube 21 is rotated to the upright position, thelimit switch 25 at the upright position is touched to stop themotor 206 and activate therotatable heat tube 21. Theheat tube 21 at the horizontal position can heat the food more even than the conventional oven with only top and bottom heat tubes. When theheat tube 21 is rotated to the upright position, the space is suitable to receive a large piece of food while the mediate portion of the food can be heated. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
